To be honest – i havent managed to get any of those games Touch controller mods to work in the first place.. I had some luck with GTA5 but the controls were not working 100%, but i could use my touch controllers to a degree, might work better on a Valve headset tho, it sounded like the GTA5 VR mod was designed with Valves stuff in mind

Only other game i know that has a full VR conversion with touch controls working is Doom 3 BFG and that mod doesnt require vorpx, but its out there if you wanted to look for it.

wish i had more to offer but i dont think theres very many games that fall into this category unfortunately

Just got the vorpx. Exciting to try out all the different possibilities and learning to use the program. I was wondering if someone had a list or thread which relays info on games that have third party mods for games so you can use your vr controller for f.ex aiming in fps games. For instance HL2 vr is being developed and looking good so far is in my opinion is better than the other options being look to aim or through garrys mod. There is also arma 3 and gtav that both have mods for using vr controllers. What im looking for is a list or source which might show mods enhancing vorpx supported games. For instance enabling vr controls. I understand that most games this requires alot of work or isnt possible at all, but im still suprise in the lack of info on such on more games. Ty

No I use a profile that originated with GTA V. I can’t find a profile called G3D in either the local profiles or in cloud profiles.
    Thanks Dave

Its the “bad” first person mod from gta 4 its not optimal.. The old gta´s have a hidden ego perspective mode thats why the fp mods are so good. But they are also not perfect in vice city/san andreas when u jump u look after the jump strait forward so when u look down while jumping the headtracking is fucked up.
Ther are ways to recenter just jump and look forward. In GTA 3 u can look free with Head while jumping. But u cant recenter with looking back Button like in vice/SAN ..

I do not have issues with the first person mod itself. I run the v1.3 with the latest scripthook and all is well.

My problem is the head movements of the character.

Btw. also GTA 3 and GTA VC run fine with their respective first person mods and vorpX.

Rockstar did an update that killed all FOV mods including FW a while back. I haven’t checked if any of them have been updated. I also believe it killed VorpX directVR’s ability to set the FOV. I gave up on the hope that GTA5 will be playable in VR, and the VR mods that are currently out for it uses alternate eye rendering which melts my brain within 5 minutes (I would personally prefer 40 fps S3D than this implementation).

I think these are your only options for VR right now:

View model FOV is a bit closer than natural in CotW, but functions nearly the same as GTA5. You can even use 3rd person while driving.

Aiming with sights and scopes in G3D is always best used with the vorpX “preferred eye” setting. This lets you chose which eye will see exact center, so you can look down the sight with your dominant eye. It can help to close the other eye slightly, just like you would in real life aiming a gun.

You may need vorpX Expert Settings enabled to see this option in the delete key menu. Enable Expert Settings in the vorpX config app from system tray.

Almost any Geometry 3D Games allow you to set the 3D Fov Enchanchement from Vorpx without mods. With Z3D you still need FOV Mods like flawless widescreen or Widescreen Fixer (which has FOV Mods for some Games for example for Dead Space).
When you start GTA 5 in Vorpx you can set the FOV when you play in Geometry 3D mode very easy.

Do we still need FOV mods. Flawless is not working any more with GTAV, the RDR2 FOV mod is riddled with backdoors and stuff. Would be really nice if VorpX did all the FOV without more mods.

Luis that is fixed when in game you use 3d geometry and go to the main menu with the eyes off balanced and restart the game.I guess with my issue that directvr keeps attempting but won’t succeed is another thing I have to keep trying.Gta5 works phenomenal,rdr2 looks neat and the outer worlds still looks great in vr despite the directvr not succeeding.

So did you have to remove all the stuff to get the real mod working.I have gta5 working on vorpx and it works well.I tried to get real mod working but it wouldn’t load.Rather just leave it be.Ralf worked very hard to get gta5 working again after the rockstar update broke it.My only dilemma now is trying to accomplish finding a solution to getting 3d reconstruction working for rdr2.

I tried the fov tool tonight. It works wonders for the first person view. It could be great in fullVR if only the context HUD weren’t hiding so far in the corners. For now I may just use maximum zoom cinema to mimic the fullVR view. Here’s a test example:

The tool is easy enough to use, if only it could report and store a number value though.

First exclude the mod exe from vorpX so it doesn’t attempt to hook. Load into the game world, then Alt+tab to desktop and run mod exe. Back in the game,, press F3 to toggle fov mode and increase/decrease with F8/F7.

pressing ~50 increments looked good for me for FullVR around 0.80 zoom, but go as high as you like.

You can reduce headbob for horse riding in the RDR2 Camera settings.

You can toggle a slow walk for first person by setting movement speed to “tap and hold” under the accessibility settings. This will make first person behave much like GTA5, where jog is the default state until you toggle walk with Shift key. Not most ideal, but default won’t let you walk slow at all.

3rd person also looks good in fullVR with fov mod. I’ll likely switch between both, since the 3rd person animations are so good. Can’t beat first person view for best scale and immersion though.

I’ll be messing around with it tomorrow a lot more for sure, I just wanted to share my early findings for anyone looking to dive in this weekend.

Please note that there is always risk in using mods, and you should not attempt to use this for the Online multiplayer. So far, no reports of problems with singleplayer.

The fixed issue that affected the Farming Simulator 2017 shadows might also have affected other D3D11 games, maybe GTA V too. Good to know.

_1.0.1737.6 to 1.0.1737.0 downgraded to play gta 5 in vr with vorpx and possibly the grand theft vr mod that lets us use full motion control.Game starts fine when I go offline steam mode but the vorpx stops rockstar social from starting.Weird because it starts fine without vorpx.I cant change vorpx cloud because the official vorpx gta 5 file attaches to it.Jesusavesouls !
