I really hope to get Outlast working with DK2 soon
Hello!
I was testing out Outlast on my Oculus Rift DK2 and it seems that 3d only works when I use geometry mode. Is Outlast not supported with Z-buffer 3d? Many of the objects/effects and shadows are doubled when I use Geometry 3d, is it possible to fix this somehow?
If anyone got it working correctly with 3d what settings did you use?
Thanks!
Hey all,
I have looked for a topic on this but to no avail. I have these drivers working perfectly in Skyrim and Outlast. It looks great for a retro fit, I have no issues there. But I have had 3 BSOD’s now. 1 in Skyrim and 2 on Outlast. I have barely played these games for any amount of time, I only got the drivers last night and tested a little today. My system is fully stable and does not BSOD on any other games or programs, this has only started to happen with these drivers.
My question is, is there a known issue that can cause these, and how can it be fixed? And, If and when it happens again, what would you need me to collect in terms of data to help resolve this issue?
Im running a i5 4670K @ 4.4Ghz, RoG Maximus Ranger Vii, Avexir 2133C9 8GB RAM, MSI 780ti GPU 2x HyperX SSD’s on Windows 7 64.
Many thanks
Got it working a bit better tonight, the black smear is still an issue for me however..you defo have to play around with the settings.
However, got outlast to work too.. holy shit..it looks great. Good job Ralf :)
Yeah I’m having this problem to. Used the 3d fov enhancement on outlast. Seemed to help a little, but still felt zoomedcompared to how I’ve had it running before.
It’s really zoomed on slender the arrival as well.
Would it be fair to ask if we will hear anything by the end of August? I’ve got my DevKit 2 now and cannot wait to play Outlast on it. I’ve been saving that game up to scared the crap out of me.
Mine isn’t working. I load vorpx and then Outlast and its still normal nothing happens
same here, I just bought Vorpx and can’t get Portal 2 running either, it crashes right after the game starts.
Anyone have advice on settings? Other games, like Outlast, work just fine for me with Vorpx, but not this one.
Update: Using the -32 switch isn’t needed anymore. The 64bit version works fine with the latest vorpX version.
See my answer here: https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/outlast/#post-11415
And please no double posts, asking a question in one thread should be enough. Thank you.
Outlast has to be started in 32bit mode. Either by starting the 32bit executable directly or with the parameter -32 in Steams launch options for the program.
I’ll look into 3D support, should be possible.
Hope that helps.
Hey there :)
How do you start Outlast with vorpx?
I have no idea how it works …
And i buyed the game just for playing with Oculus …
Pls help me out… :(
* 1 more thing, i start Vorpx before try to play this game, i forgot to

Hey Guys,
I try to start Outlast on steam, but it dont start with the split screen.
Its just normal…
Im new with the Oculus, and i have no idea how i can start this game with it :/
If someone know something, pls let me know…!! :(
I had the same problem ( 30 second crash ) on both Portal 2 and Bioshock. Yesterday my wife was out for the night and I got a huge urge to play Bioshock. Since i’ve been trying everything possible to make it work with vorpx for the last few weeks , I decided to get a cracked version of the game ( feeling less guilty since I bought it on steam) And it worked , I played a few hours without any crashes. Dont know if this info can help you Ralf but I felt like sharing it.
We need 3d for Outlast now and the world will be perfect.
