    Hi,

    My Specs:
    Valve Index
    RTX 3080
    Ryzen 7 2700x
    16GB Ram

i play for Example Fallout 76 in G3D in 2880×2160 (Borderless Window) and Medium Settings except the Textures on highest, in average 30-40 FPS using Fluidsync to 80 FPS, but in the Cities it crashes to 15-25 FPS. I had the same experience in other open world games in 3K or 4K in typical CPU intensive Locations, too.

In high 3K and 4K Resolutions and average 40 FPS there should not be a Bottleneck of a CPU with my RTX 3080, CPU Bottlenecks are typically on 1080p and 1440p.

Is it a Vorpx or SteamVR Problem, and should I buy a 12 or 16 core CPU to get better Minimum Frames ? Or is the setup of my Resolution, Graphic Settings and Fluidsync causing a CPU Bottleneck while using Vorpx ?

@ Chris: Switching to G3D after launching a game with Z3D may cause glitches in games with more complex renderers since for performance reasons with Z3D some things only relevant for G3D are skipped. In games where that is a known issue (incl. Fallen Order) there should be a little warning in that regard popping up directly below the option in the menu when you switch to G3D after launching the game with Z3D.

I consider this message pretty essential for avoiding confusion. Would be great if you could let me know whether it is shown for you when you launch the game with Z3D and then switch to G3D.

I face a problem and I run out of options of what could be the issue of games not running in VorpX. Games that worked was Half-Life 2, Portal, Fallout 3, and Fallout Las Vegas. Checking on other people facing similar issues I read all previous options of what could I do about it and I did all these steps. Reinstall VorpX, disable and uninstall AV program, disable any overlays that could influence the VorpX to hook up to the game, check if there is any unnecessary DLL, checking if the game is running in DX11 not DX12, trying to change resolutions for games, uninstall games and install again, run games and VorpX as admin, use alternative hooking method. All the games I checked are compatible with VorpX and should work without hassle and they are bought and I own them. At this point, I really can’t find a solution to what the issue could be and what could make it work. If there are any smart guys out there, please help me to solve this issue because I am hanging on to this for weeks without any progress. I know VorpX working and its hooking on to games, but it dose not for most of the compatible games that should work.

    Hello,

Jedi Fallen Order is not working right in G3D for me.

Sometimes everything works, but most of the time, one of the two screens remains black. I tried it with HTC Vive Pro and Pimax 5k+ and changed the game settings around a bit, but nothing worked so far.

Anyone else has/had issues? Is there a known fix?

Is it possible to take a screenshot of the actual picture i see through the lens when playing Fallout 76 with VorpX / Pimax ?

I am going to see if i can get someone to make a mod for the main hud, Power armor hud and the map, and since many of the modders don’t have a Vr set i need screenshots.

I can stick my phone in and take some, but the quality will get bad

    Hi All,

My Search-Fu is failing me today.

I’ve tried the ‘provided’ Fallout 76 profiles but the sides are cut off when wearing power armor and I can’t see my health and ammo meters even when I ‘peak’ out using the middle mouse button. Is there a setting I can tweak to make the view see these things? Thanks in advance if this was already answered from a newb.

    Best Regards,

Waiting on my HP G2 to arrive… Been waiting all summer/fall to get Vorpx and play Cyberpunk 2077 in VR. If Ralf adds G3D for CP77 I would seriously pay $100 for it.

Hopefully with a 3090 and Zen 3 I will have the horsepower needed

    Son of Nor (G3D)

3rd person Adventure,RPG, reminds me a little on Outcast. Shadwos are disabled on default, Game falls back to screen resolution, so if you want to play on higher resolutions switch your monitor to that resolution and/or use this https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/a-little-start-helper-for-games/ tool.

Note: Game has Oculus Rift Support (not tested, unknown what happens when using a Rift and VorpX together with this game)

    – Great S3D in all modes
    – Full VR with Headtracking
    – Cinema mode on default
    – Shadows are disabled on default
    – Profile available at the cloud

I recieved a key to try on Maximum Settings (so i tried with Skyrim) but it was really ugly with dark bands when i turn the head. I don’t know if it is because of Vorpx or because the Maximum Settings server is far from France (i already had that bad images and dark bands when i tried to play Fallout 4 Vr without Vorpx) ?????

Now i must try with Papperspace (more expensive but closer to France)

I’m sorry, I’m brand new to this. I just got an Oculus Quest 2 on Friday, so this is all brand new.

Anyway, I’m using a USB 3.0 to USB-c cable in order to enable Oculus Rift or Link or whatever they call it. I have Fallout 76 on Steam. I have bought VorpX.

Can someone please tell me the steps I need to get up and running from everything shutdown (PC and VR device).

Again sorry, it’s all a little overwhelming at first.

    Hi!

I’m running games at 4k in “Geometry” mode (am I trying too hard to have the best possible experience?) and its laggy. Im forced to use Z-normal for these situations, which I believe is a tad less immersive – although passable and playable-enough for sure. I have an MSI GTX 1080 Ti.

I’ve been playing Fallout 4 (amazing in Vorpx!!!) at 4k and ya… when Geometry is turned on, its pretty laggy. If I picked up a GTX 3080 would I have better luck? I turned off the frame-rate cap in the game. Could also play a role……….

    Greetings,

Ever since I started using Vorpx 3 years ago I’ve had a relatively minor issue when using Vorpx headtracking. Honestly I just got used to it over time but I’d figure I’d give a shot at fixing it now that I am looking to refine my VR Experiences.

    Issue Description:

The issue is that whenever I turn 360 degrees with headtracking on, there appears to be 1 degree that causes a screen stutter. Just for a moment and it passes as soon as I rotate past that 1 out of 360 degrees. This stutter angle appears to stay consistent for either an entire session of Vorpx in a given game or potentially during a play “Area” (I.e resets after reloading save or going through loading screen.) Any time I rotate to that angle it stutters and the image shifts about 5 degrees for a split second and then re-aligns properly.

Headset: Oculus CV1 with 2 sensor 360 degree setup

    Details:

-This issue occurs with and without directvr rotation on.
-Occurs in every game I use VorpX headtracking with
-Doesn’t occur when I disable Vorpx Headtracking and use:
    1) my mouse to spin 360 degrees
    2) A python script to turn my Oculus into a mouse.

I don’t have any issues with native VR games such as Skyrim VR, Fallout VR, Superhot etc. If I use Virtual Desktop with my oculus to mouse headtracking script above I do not have this issue. Seems to be specifically related to Vorpx headtracking.

One additional tidbit is that when I use an AutoOculus Touch script that turns my oculus touch into a mouse, I run into a very similar issue at the exact same degree. I will gladly post the scripts I use for this and headtracking to mouse if that will help.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
    James

    Hi Guys,

Iv been playing FO4 without sissues.
Now i started a brandnew game and my pipboy looks too small (used to fill the whole screen). “V” does not help. When i load an old game, pipboy is right in size, only a new game messes it up. Its not a vorpx issue, its a main issue.
    any advice ?

i have been playing for like three weeks skyrim native vr. Now i wanted to start skyrimse and playing vorpx version again. The games havent been modded since the last time vorpx was up an running. Fallout 4 and skyrim wont hook if started from skse or f4se. The last update seems to have change somthing. The game started from within the skyrim or fallout4 folder works,, why would a modded game not hooking anymore?
