I think that those game run similarly .
Post your preferred setting , i’ll do the same tonight .
With mine setting there are very little glitches but very beautiful effects

the right eye…a center menu almost goes off the screen. I called my eyeglasses store they said my ipd was 36 and that sounds weird for someone 5’9″ I figured it was some other way to measure ipd and i doubled it because 72 falls within the range of normal.
Please note that teamfortress looks absolutely fine to me at ipd 72.
I hit del in the HL2 game….and tried sliding things around…..i could see some settings make the scene start to come together but barely. Whatever is going on is way to out of wack for settings to fix.
I will try calibrate instead of punching 72 in the ipd.
No you didn’t. That’s a new bug that must have been introduced shortly before release. Will be fixed.
Thanks for this quick response!
Ok, setting the vorpX option “handle gamepad internally” and disabling the controller in the ingame menu brings headtracking to run. Thank you!
Up to now I was not able to map the right keys to the gamepad. I´m not able to change any key bindings in vorpX´s gamepad menu. I tried to klick the respective buttons and pressed the associated button at the gamepad but nothing seems to happen. Have I overlooked something?
That’s a restriction of Bethesda games: they disable mouse input when a gamepad is used.
vorpX can work around this though: set “Handle Gamepads Internally” to On to activate an internal gamepad to mouse/keyboard mapper (which should have been the default value). Then exit and restart Fallout 3. Afterwards you should be able play Fallout 3 with a gamepad and head tracking.
The gamepad mapper can be freely configured in vorpX’s gamepad menu.
I´m trying to play Fallout3 with vorpX and a XBOX360 Controller. Fallout 3 supports this controller natively.
When the controller is activated, headtracking does not work anymore.
Is there a possibility to play Fallout3 with a XBOX360 controller and vorpX?
I would appreciate any kind of tip!
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
Firstly, I commend you guys for creating this, I’m sure it will well worth the money.
But your activation process is terrible. You should clearly state that you have to send an email and wait for a response during the purchase process. It’s very misleading and I’m sure will result in a lot of people wanting their money back. Sad to see when a great product falls down because of unnecessary obstacles.
I second that, customizeable keys would be a real help, especially for games like Skyrim, Fallout etc., which have dozens of keys to map actions to. There I usually use the middle mouse button for other things, and it´s really hard to change a setup, which you have come accustomed to over years.
I can understand that you have more important matters to do, as this is a rather special request. Luckily at least NVSE is working without problems, so I will try to find another LAA solution for Fallout. And thanks for your fast and honest answer. I´ll be able to handle a few more game crashes than usual, if it bothers me too much I have to resort to play without the rift :)
Best wishes
I’m not having any of the issues that you mentioned. I’ve tried Bioshock infinite and Far cry 3 with no issues. Also skyrim and fallout 3. I haven’t tried Mirrors edge jet, but I’m installing it now.
My system specs are sorta similar. I7, GTX580 (320.49), win7 64 bit.
However as I’ve only recently got my Oculus I’ve never bothered to install Vireio or similar software. Is there a possibility that Vireio is somehow inhibiting the performance of the VorpX drivers?
I’ve tried Fallout, Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite and all have head tracking working out of the box without any tweaking from my end.
Hello vorpX Team,
I have a question regarding the recognition of supported games. I´m currently experimenting with playing Fallout New Vegas with VorpX(EdgePeek is such a great feature in this game btw.!), and I have run into a small problem. When I launch the game with it´s normal .exe Vorpx recognizes the game, and all options are available, so everything is fine here.
Unfortunately Fallout and other Gamebryo Engine games are memory hogs, and crash quite regulary. To circumvent this problem there are modified loaders for the game, which make it large address aware(which enables the use of up to 4GB of RAM). This reduces game crashes quite effective, but unfortunately the game isn´t recognized by VorpX, when run with this modified .exe(btw. the process of Fallout is called FalloutNV.4gb with the modified loader in task manager).
Now, here is my question: Is there some way to, for example, add the name of the process to a list, which allows VorpX to recognize it as Fallout New Vegas? If not, is there any other way to work around this problem?
Thanks for any help you can provide, and a big extra thanks for creating this driver :)
Don’t rule Fallout 3 out so quickly.

ENB with hi rez textures will make it look superb.
Add in the fact that it is economical on frame rate and for me you have a winner.
See you in the game

Definitely Battlefield 3.
Fallout 3 is a very good game, but it looks horribly outdated and will be bad with the rift I think.
Either you need a really good ‘photorealistic’ game like Battlefield 3, Crysis, Portal, Project cars, or a game with a particular style like Minecraft, Borderlands, dishonored.
Old games which tried to be ‘photorealistic’ looks very bad today. For exemple I can easily play at ratchet and clank because the cartoon style doesn’t look outdated, but games like the first tomb raiders, Vice city etc just look bad
Morrowind, Skyrim, and definitely Fallout3 /NV. I think these open world exploration type games will work great. Atleast I really hope so. Just hanging out in a tavern in Skyrim or some hole in the wall in Fallout seems like it’ll be fun.
Haven’t played Metro but I think it’s one of those games I will probably play if the VR experience is great. I heard it’s a pretty tense game.
