    So I just recently bought VorpX, and it works pretty well, but the lack of head tracking with the DK2 is an absolute deal breaker. It’s just horrible without being able to use my head to look. It just doesn’t feel right.

    That being said I know you must be working on a fix, but for 40 dollars, I think it’s safe to say that an update sooner than later is in order. What kind of time frame is projected before head tracking support is added?

    Have you tried out the new dolphin vr build with Resident Evil 4? It is amazing, also FZero GX, soul calibur 2 and smash bros. There’s plenty else to be amazed at while we wait (I really got vorpx for bioshock infinite).

    Ralif hasn’t even had a DK2 for a week, you can wait. So few people have a DK2 yet, so it’s updated within the next two weeks, it’ll still be decent timing.

    @ dudeofdur: You almost certainly have version 0.64. The 0.5 displayed in the installer is a glitch. It does not display the correct version number. Sorry for the confusion.

    The DK2 ready update has not been released yet. Your vorpX will auto update once it is available.

    Hi,
    I can’t seem to get my version of Vorpx to update. Vorpx control isn’t auto updating. I’ve tried disabling anti virus and firewall. Also tried running in admin mode.

    I will upload the video here soon, just too much else to do currently. A release date for the update will be announced shortly, it’s just not 100% ready for prime time yet.

    Thanks again Ralf, I finally got VorpX to work with my Oculus Rift DK2 and can confirm it’s v0.6.4 []^__^]

    May I suggest you put a version/build number within VorpX itself (like Steam does too) and a ‘startup splash’ suggesting it was updated with a brief log summary if possible too {}^__^}

    I few other issues, but will tinker and tweak a little first before annoying you again ()^__^)

    Adaptive Z-Buffer has an inbuild auto focus, similar to how you eyes work. It automatically focuses on the image center. Other than that both modes work similar.

    Bioshock Infinite is a DirectX 11 game, which currently does not have Geometry 3D support in vorpX. This is one of the enhancements that will be available with the next update.

    You can also navigate to the vorpX install folder and check the file properties of vorpControl.exe. If you bought vorpX recently, you have version 0.64. This version does not use the SDK 0.4 yet, the update will be available shortly. Stay tuned.

    Regarding your main issue please check my answer to your post in the DK2 first aid thread. With the settings that are displayed in the screenshot you posted, vorpX cannot work with the DK2! Details are in my earlier answer above.

    Thanks Ralf, will do. The image depth looks awesome. Shooting an arrow really felt as though it was moving through space. I’ll hang on for the update.

    That is caused by vorpX not knowing the right parameters for the DK2 lens distortion correction. The DK2 ready update will solve this. Stay tuned.

    That is to be expected with the current version (see the original post). The fully DK2 ready update will be out shortly. Stay tuned.

    What games work? So far I’ve got nothing working. Everything launches as normal on the monitor, I have it set to forced to Rift. Might be because I can’t seem to update to 0.64 as well :/
