I would have to disagree on that – 3D is absolutely amazing in this game – looks like you are running around in a beautifully made diorama and really takes the experience to a whole new level. The only issue is that Depth3D has its downsides, particularly poor performance on the companion app, and I am not sure how to get around that as there don’t really seem to be any good alternatives.

It’s been a while and Diablo IV is now on Game Pass so I am wondering whether anyone has any luck getting this to work in vorpX? I can get it to hook with the pairofdice profile, but there is no depth. The Depth3D and Reshade method works pretty well, but there is fairly significant distortion on some of the UI elements that makes it difficult to read text, etc., not sure whether there is any way to fix that?

    Hi Ralf,
I just wanted to send out a note of gratitude. After a full Windows re-install I finally got everything working right with the mod, and boy is it incredible. Certainly not perfect, but absolutely good enough for an amazingly immersive experience in a whole bunch of ways, so my sincere thanks for your efforts on this.
I do have just one small question, not a particularly big deal as I can kind of ignore it after a while, but I am running it on a Quest Pro and for some reason there is a bit of a black bar at the bottom of the screen even in the full VR mode – is that anything I am doing wrong in the settings, or is that just a minor annoyance with this particular headset? Also, is it generally better to set the mod to the OpenXR or the Occulus mode for a Quest Pro, I haven’t really noticed much difference, so just curious which it would be better to leave it on.
Many thanks again for your awesome work.
    Alex

Well I am pleased to report that I have managed to solve the issue. After a re-install I noticed that the judder was not present until I installed Cyber Engine Tweaks. Looking at the log files for CET I noticed that it was complaining about being unable to open a database file, so I wondered if it was some kind of weird file location or permissions issue, and had the thought that maybe it didn’t like being on a secondary drive. So I cleared up some space on my main C drive, and moved it across, and voila I am now getting stable 60 FPS in game and 90 in the headset!

So in case it helps anyone else, if you are having problems, you might want to try moving Cyberpunk 2077 to your system drive.

Yep, already tried task killing literally everything non-essential from Task Manager (including GoG Galaxy after the initial game launch) without seeing any noticeable impact. I think I am going to have to try the Windows 11 upgrade, and if that doesn’t make any difference I guess I am just out of luck and VorpX is useless to me for some inexplicable reason :(.

    Hi Ralf,
Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. The hints in the profile don’t really provide any help, unfortunately though. As indicated in my earlier thread regarding this issue, I am running at the lowest resolution, and with all graphics settings on minimum (and raytracing off), yet I am getting screen update rates in response to head movement of less than 1 fps. Even the initial tutorial screen that introduces the mod has massive judder. My CPU usage is around 30% and GPU usage around 15% so it doesn’t seem like it is a system resource issue at all.

I assume it must be some kind of conflict, but I am at a loss on how to figure out with what. Is there anything else in the log file that could shed some light on this? The only remaining step I can think to try is to upgrade to Windows 11, but I am worried that may lead to other problems – could that be worth a go though? Is there anything else I could do to try to isolate the cause of the problem?

I am also having very similar issues with very poor update rates (can take more than a second for the view to update after turning to look in a different direction) and terrible judder. This is with a Reverb G2 and a 3080 with all graphics settings at minimum, raytracing off and the lowest resolution. If anyone has any suggestions for how we can troubleshoot this, that would be great.

Hi Ralf or anyone else, does no one have any suggestions of anything I could possibly do to try and narrow down what the cause of this might be? I have just updated to the latest beta release of VorpX (I did a full uninstall and reinstall), which may have improved things very marginally, but nowhere near the point of it being playable. Displayed frame rate in Cyberpunk 2077 is now around 30 for the game and around 70 – 80 for the headset, but the same problem persists that the actual update rate from turning the headset appears below 1 fps. Note that the game was started from within the virtual desktop with my main monitor turned off. Turning the 3D mode to Z3D or to Off has no noticeable impact and changing the game graphics settings between low and ultra also has very little impact.
In case it helps to isolate the problem, the poor performance is present to some extent even in the main menu of the game before a level is loaded.

Note, I forgot to mention in the original post, but the Graphic settings in Cyberpunk 2077 are set to Low with Raytracing disabled.
