apollon01Participant
Thanks for the Reply, Ralf.
apollon01ParticipantI do not have issues with the first person mod itself. I run the v1.3 with the latest scripthook and all is well.
My problem is the head movements of the character.
Btw. also GTA 3 and GTA VC run fine with their respective first person mods and vorpX.
apollon01ParticipantNevermind. I bought it anyway!
It is on sale on Steam: SSE and SS2 bundle for four euros. A steal. Now I need to find some time to actually play them at least for a while :-)Dec 26, 2019 at 9:46pm in reply to: Initial VR Guide for IL-2/1946/BAT using vorpX/Oculus Rift S/Joy2Keys #191267apollon01ParticipantThanks for that.
For head tracking, it is possible to use opentrack with Valve SteamVR as input protocol and freetrack as output. Just remember to disable the vorpX head tracking.
No matter what, on my WMR I am always a bit cross-eyed and head tracking is stuttery. The Valve SteamVR translated to freetrack and sent to the game is OK for rotation but does not work well for position.
Other than that – yes, it is a good fun nonetheless.
apollon01ParticipantWow, such an oldie classic… I wish I had time to play them.
apollon01ParticipantOK!

so as to bring this issue to the attention of SteamVR developers?
It takes just a minute, which I think is worth the hassle.
Thanks!Milan
apollon01ParticipantAll is OK, Ralf.
Thank you.If only all developers were as responsive as you :-)
In your opinion, is there a problem on SteamVR side? If yes, I will keep my bug report as is. If not, I will flag it as solved by vorpX.
Milan
apollon01ParticipantGreat support Ralf!
I will test it only tomorrow and will report back.
apollon01ParticipantDone. Thanks Ralf
apollon01ParticipantOK, just noticed Ralf’s comments.
Well… I leave the SteamVR bug report as is for the moment till the issue is solved (on any end) :-)
Thanks Ralf for checking it out.
Milan
apollon01ParticipantThe SteamVR bug report is here

Please visit it and add your comment so that the developers pay attention to it.
Thanks

apollon01ParticipantHP Reverb here.
I think this issue needs to be highlighted also on SteamVR discussion forum.
Lokiss88 created a thread there in General discussions but with no reaction from the developers. In my opinion, it has to go to Bug reports with associated System report.
I will try to create such a thread and link it here too so that you can comment on SteamVR that you have the same issue.
Hopefully they would look into it knowing there are more users having problems.
Milan
apollon01ParticipantTry to launch the game with the headset already on your face (it is awkward, I know).
This way it works for me (well at least for now).
Let me know whether it solves the problem for you as well.
apollon01ParticipantAnd again :-(
Win up to date, vorpX up to date, GPU driver up to date, SteamVR up to date…
Reboots / restarts not helping.
apollon01ParticipantFor me, it was not just a restart of the PC (I have done that a couple of times) but a switch off / switch on – twice (yesterday evening and once more today).
Weird, but it works :-)
