Same here.
It hooks in alternative mode only and while I can enable Z3D or Z3D adaptive mode, there is no 3D.
Waiting for native VR implementation.
apollon01ParticipantThanks Ralf. I am not on the DX12 boat though it is good to see vorpX is improving in all possible ways.
apollon01ParticipantHi all,
For a while I was not sure whether to participate in this discussion as I did not intend to add an insult to an injury but for the sake of multiple user points of view, here we go :-)
Myself, for one, would also consider such feature to be useful. For the record, I have already expressed this wish some time ago:
But since I felt the need to move the immersion screen down only in one single title (all the rest I play in FullVR), I did not push for a reply and let go. In the meantime, I also resorted into the “Btw” option, so problem solved.
I understand the list of possible future features is rather long and likely contains more pressing issues than the one discussed here. However if there is some time to have a look at that, some users might find it useful.
Thanks and all the best.
Milan
apollon01ParticipantThis is indeed useful. Thank you!
apollon01ParticipantOK, did some testing and here comes the result:
In order to make it hook, I have to follow exactly these steps:
– run WMR
– run Thief 2014 from Steam, but only to the launcher
– run SteamVR
– run vorpX
– click on Play in the game launcherIt looks great and is indeed nice experience.
For some reason, vorpX does not allow me to switch to 2160p from the ingame menu. It changes the resolution to 1440p only. So I let it to set the FOV, set manually the desired resolution to 2160p in the registry and then disallowed changing game resolution in vorpX app.
Hope this helps others if having the same issues.

apollon01ParticipantHello,
I am reviving this thread since it is also about Thief (2014), which I grabbed for next to nothing in the current Steam sale.
It does not hook (I will investigate more this evening).
But what surprised me is that there are two pop-ups with the message that vorpX is attaching to XY.exe. I get just one such pop-up with other games (that hook OK). After some time the hooking times out and voila. Can one pop-up prevent the other to hook and vice versa?
I am a bit confused here. Any ideas?
Thanks,Milan
apollon01ParticipantGood news. Please keep us posted!
apollon01ParticipantWMR user here, so the above mod is not working for me.
Though the vorpX combined with Flawlesswidescreen (to adjust FOV in game) works. But:
– in G3D it really taxes the PC
– in Z3D it is OK on foot but the perspective is screwed in vehiculeI also like vorpX VR implementation, btw.
apollon01ParticipantBy the lack of 3D effect I mean that both eyes get the same picture – hence no stereoscopic effect.
If the game appears in your HMD and all is looking fine, then do not worry :-)
apollon01ParticipantDo you get also 3D effect with distant lands?
I mean with Morrowind and distant lands, vorpX hooks and wraps the image to my headset and it looks great but there is just no 3D effect.
Without the distant lands, it still looks great and all AND there is 3D effect too.
I think the whole discussion about distant land was about 3D.
Anyhow, great to hear you made it run!
apollon01ParticipantNo problem, Ralf. I was just curious.
apollon01ParticipantForgotten to add that with the Mafia III profile, there is no 3D.
apollon01ParticipantRalf, on the profiles note…
Is it possible to recall/use old official profiles?
apollon01ParticipantHi, you ran into issues well known and not fixable (or so it seems from my rarher extensive research some time ago).
It is a pity as Il2 1946 has a lot of content.
apollon01ParticipantRalf, vorpX keeps asking me on every launch. I suppose it fails to install the database update?
