    Thanks for the guide, @Bacon2002.

    I do not have F1 2019 though I have a question regarding head tracking via Opentrack.

    Besides rotation, how is the positional (moving to the sides, up/down and forward/backwards) tracking working for you? Did you managed to get it working 1:1?

    OK, figured it now – it runs in 3D on FSO 3.6.12. Here is how to make it work (well at least on my setup :-)) in case someone else will want to give it a try:

    – get Freespace 2 (mine comes from GoG)
    – get wxLauncher for the SCO
    – get FSO 3.6.12 INF SSE2
    – get MediaVPs 3.6.12
    – use Quake III: Arena profile as suggested by Zarkov
    – vorpX needs to hook on fs2_open_3_6_12r_INF_SSE2.exe

    Install via wxLauncher and you are ready to go!

    The FSO 3.7.4 hooks but does not give a 3D effect (at least not for me). The FSO 3.6.12 works fine.

    Thanks for the info above.

    Would you mind to give more details on how you managed to get it work all together?

    I got the Freespace 2 from GoG. Then I installed Knossos 0.13.3 which allows only FSO 3.8.0-3 and MediaVPs 3.8.2.

    How did you managed FSO 3.7.4 and MediaVPs 2014 (aka 3.7.2) to install via Knossos? Or did you do it manually or via different launcher?

    I am a bit puzzled… so your help will be highly appreciated.

    Guys, anyone here with WMR (mine is the HP Reverb) and able to run the GTA V VR mod?

    I got only black screen in the headset while the game is OK on the monitor (throwing vorpX to the mix does not make a difference).

    Btw the DirectVR magic is impressive.

    Also, I have noted that vorpX always indicates that it changed settings and restart is required (even though I always click on OK & Save).

    May this be related to the above?

    Thanks for the references. I have tried three different profiles and one works slightly better than the one I have used for the Il2 1946.

    I will probably go through them slowly one by one and maybe I will be lucky :-)

    Just FYI – the game was reported to work rather OKish with the (now dead) nvidia 3D Vision. So I suppose there probably is a way. There is even a helixmod fixing some issues for the nvidia 3D Vision.

    Thanks RJK_ for the tip. That was it. I had to hexedit some other files too.

    So now I am able to run the Rise of Flight in dgVoodoo2.6 and vorpX at the same time. I tried a profile that works well with other dgVoodoo2.6 (based on your profile for Stolen) and while I get quite nice Z3D effect in the opening screen, in-game (in-flight) there Z3D effect is OK only in outside view but unfortunately not at all in cockpit view (which is quite essential for a flight sim :-)).

    Would you have some tips what possibly to try to tweak?

    It is weird. It seems that the outside is rendered differently to the in-cockpit.

    Ralf,

    Do I understand correctly that Full VR mode renders the image at 1:1 pixel mapping if the game resolution matches as closely as possible the HMD resolution (at least on the vertical resolution)?

    Nice post :-) I got few titles lined up:
    – Skyrim SE
    – Morrowind (pity it does not work with distant lands)
    – GTA V
    – Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
    – Mafia
    – Mafia II
    – A Story About My Uncle (is surprisingly nice in vorpX)
    – Giants: Citizen Kabuto (idem; this is a fantastic retro)

    and I hoped also for some of my sims: Flight Sim World, Il-2 1946, Il-2 Cliffs of Dover Blitz and Rise of Flight… however unfortunately these do not work in 3D (but are fun also in 2D).

    The question is – when will I get the time to give all these a shot? :-)
