Hi Ralf,
good news, Crysis 3 now works for me in Vorpx 17.3.0
I found out – sort of – by accident:
Origin suddenly would not start and showed this error:
“Origin.exe – System Error: the program can’t start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”To solve this, I had to install VC redist 2015 I found on some forum posts.
But 2015 refused to install because the *nice* Win 10 unstoppable auto update feature already installed VC redist 2017. (a newer version…)So, to fix Origin I had to uninstall VC Redist 2017 x86/x64 and replace it with VC redist 2015 x86/x64.
Now Origin starts again, but Crysis 3 is also working fully in vorpx 17.3.0
(I had to use Z-buffer 3D though, because Geometry 3D caused artifacts in gun and character textures)Maybe this could help out some other folks.
PS: Very nice experience in Crysis 3, almost Native VR game feel!

bluepillParticipantUpdate:
The issue has been fixed by Oculus in the latest beta of the Oculus driver!bluepillParticipantHi Ralf,
without pushing, I would be interested in a status update or a temporary “workaround” solution.
Reason is I am progressing fast trough the game (cannot stop, its addictive) and would like to experience some it in VR before finishing the game ;-)Thnx

Thanks for this Cyclon; this is a very big improvement!
Now truly able to play missions with my DK2 :-)
We all owe a lot to guys like you!Some questions;
– for my eyes some text is still a bit small to read; can text size be customized too?
– I noticed that the cross-hair for the gun (white dot) is not in the correct position; but this might have to do with my FOV mod or GTA itself.
But maybe, you have an idea about that.FOV mod I am using:
I made a mod for freely setting your first-person field of view.
byu/DrDaxxy inGrandTheftAutoV_PCFOV mod Fov.ini settings
[FirstPerson]
Walking = 89
Car = 95
Aiming = 89
Crouching = 89
ADS = 89Jasper
bluepillParticipantOf course!
ThnxbluepillParticipantGuys, thanks for the advice!
2D edge peak is much more useful in real (VR) life.
I’d suggest to use this mode as default mode as its needed in every game to read out of bounds text, radar etc.Cheers
JasperbluepillParticipantThanks for the superr update!
Far Cry 4 looks gorgeous in Z3D.Bluepill aka Jasper
bluepillParticipantReally looking forward to the update!
Would be great if it would come this weekend.
