Bonehead4lifeParticipant
i would like to add:
oculus app version 1.3.0.198914
and everything is green in oculus home settings
Bonehead4lifeParticipanthi, i would like to report the same issue.
specs I7-6700K @ 4.6 GHz | ASUS Maximus VIII Hero | RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 3200MHz | GPU’S ASUS GTX970-DCMOC-4GD5 SLI | DK2@ 1.3
Bonehead4lifeParticipantMiamirice thank you for the input. I’m gonna try switching back to oculus runtime .7. I will let you know the outcome. Ralf thank you for your continued input! I turned in game graphic settings to the lowest they will go. Turned on in game vsync. No change. I still get a constant black screen with an occasional flickering to corrupted graphics. The minmap in the bottom left is fairly normal & stays rendered more or less properly. I can tell the map has loaded & I am in the game & can walk, run & jump around with no graphics.
-Are there known issues with Radeon R9 FuryX?
-Are there preferred AMD Catalyst Settings?I dont think its AMD/radeon related, because i have the same issue and use a gtx 970
Bonehead4lifeParticipantBonehead4lifeParticipant@Ralf: did expect async was arranged by oculus, but it has to be implemented by application development. Good job then tnx!
Bonehead4lifeParticipantThat is great news, Ralf. Thank you for the info. A pity is I am already on win10, but I hope they (oculus) progress in the async tech.
Bonehead4lifeParticipantClear, thank you.
Bonehead4lifeParticipantBut how do i update from this version to 0.9 then? when vorpx 0.8 does not see the rift with runtime 0.7? (that was the original question)
VorpX 0.9 is not out until Friday, so you can’t update until then. On Friday, I imagine VorpX 0.8 will automatically update to 0.9.
Ah ok, thnx for the info, friday must be the 23th then.
Bonehead4lifeParticipantWe all see on day 23…. ;)
Grtz
Bonehead4lifeParticipanthow to update 0.9 from 0.8?
Doesn’t opening the VorpX application automatically download and install the update?
I DO NOT hope so, because Vorpx doesnt see the riftdk2 with 0.7 runtime. And as a result of that vorpx won’t start!
VorpX 0.9 will see the DK2 with 0.7, it actually requires it. See Ralf’s post upthread.
