This fixed turning stutter with a gamepad for me:

-Set CP2077 game Settings>Controls>First-Person Camera(Controller)>Horizontal Sensitivity to ‘9’ to avoid turning too fast. Alternatively, can set to higher number like ’40’ for simulated snap turning.
-Set vorpX setting ‘Headset Sync’ to ‘Custom’. (Press DELETE key to access vorpX settings)
-Set vorpX setting ‘Sync Method’ to ‘Safe’.
-Set vorpX setting ‘Headset Multithreading’ to ‘Off’. (Most Important and makes the biggest improvement)
-Set vorpX setting ‘Cap Framerate’ to ‘Off’. (Seems like the better the FPS the overall less turning stutter)
-Set HMD setting to highest refresh rate possible, its 144hz for me. (I’m running at 60-90 FPS, but seems to make a difference)

I’m using stand alone CP2077 2.21 vorpX app and run Intel i7-9700k CPU, Nvidia 3080ti GPU, Valve Index HMD. Last time I played CP2077 in vorpX was March 2024 and did not experience turning stutter.

VorpX CP2077 app is a fantastic experience. Big thanks!

I got WOW in Z3D(Z-Normal) working quite well using DirectX 11(non-legacy). I uploaded the WOW profile settings to the cloud to share.

Follow these instructions to get Z3D to work:

    1. Set game setting ‘Graphics API’ to ‘DirectX 11’ every time WOW is opened.(WOW automatically sets game to DX12 every time opened for some reason, after new update)
    2. Press F11 2x in game for Z3D to work and when image squishes.(Can bind F11 to different key in game keybinding settings> miscellaneous > window mode)
    3. Set game setting ‘Anti-Aliasing’ to ‘None’ or ‘Image-Based Techniques’.
    4. Set game setting ‘Optional GPU feautures’ to ‘Check mark’.
    5. Set game setting ‘Ambient Occlusion Type’ to ‘FidelityFX CACAO’.
    6. Set game setting ‘Display Mode’ to ‘Windowed”.

This works for all versions of WOW classic I’ve tested. I have not tested it on WOW retail. I tested with Nvidia 3080ti GPU and Valve index HMD. Not quite as good as G3D but better than flat and can turn graphics settings way up.

    Hello Ralf,

With the latest WOW patch today, it looks like all versions of classic WOW have patched out the option to use legacy DirectX 11, making vorpX G3D unusable. Will there be a new beta version of vorpX available for download with the new updated DirectX 11 vorpX WOW profile? Thanks!

I cant use the official Vorpx Starfield profile in vorpx 24.1.0 because the Z3D turns OFF/ON when close to objects, so I made a vorpX 21.3.5 Starfield profile from Resident Evil Village that works in Cinema mode/3rd person view. You could downgrade your vorpx version to 21.3.5 and try that profile to see if it works.

Beware though once you downgrade/upgrade Vorpx versions, you wont be able to install the beta again.

I also have a new problem with Starfield since the new update, unrelated to vorpx, in which I can not see planet textures. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future patch.

It been a while since I’ve played CP2077. If I remember correctly, switching to Z-Adaptive Cinema mode from DirectVR Full VR seemed to work. I was using the stand alone CP2077 VorpX version. Turning 3D off completely in photo mode might work as well?

I experienced the same type of memory leak type crashing in photo mode using DirectVR Full VR. Photo mode would work start very laggy progressively getting more laggy and laggy until freezing.

Switching to Z3D before entering photo mode worked for me.

Resident Evil Village profile works quite nicely in Z3D for Dragon’s Dogma 2. You must set the in game graphics setting -Rendering Mode from ‘interlaced’ to ‘progressive’ for Z3D to work.

For CP2077 2.12, I had to update CET modding framework for directVR 3D to work. I am using stand alone version of vorpx CP2077.

I like it, it shows the all the profile information on the right screen. I also like how you can go back to start screen to re-center.

If anyone is interested, I uploaded a new Beta vorpX Starfield profile based on Resident Evil Village. It is configured for Cinema mode and called ‘Starfield-Cinema Mode #2’. The Z3D is quite strong and can be turned way up.

Only 4K resolution 3840×2160 works, lower resolutions have glitched textures. Custom resolutions above 2000p would probably work. First person gun view is also slightly glitched. No issue with third person view. Restart game if FPS drops. Hit ‘Delete’ key twice if gamepad stops working.

Set these game settings for best Z3D:
    -Set Particle Quality to ‘LOW’.
    -Set Motion Blur to ‘OFF’.
    -Set Film Grain from 0-12.
-Set Enable Depth of Field to ‘OFF’.
DLSS only works without glitches on max quality or max performance.

I believe if you have not updated vorpX to the latest version you need to download the official BG3 profile from the cloud. BG3 official profile has G3D/Z3D in Cinema/Immersion mode.

For the slow loading issue, updating or reinstalling Nvidia graphics drivers fixes. My guess is issue is some sort of cache getting full after many game launches.

Steam VR can be buggy when playing non-vr titles in my experience. If all else fails I would try uninstalling steam completely ‘Right click Windows start key> App & Features> Steam> uninstall. Make sure to backup important steam files first. Also make sure Baldur’s Gate 3 is main application running, it has a tendency to run in the background sometimes. Baldur’s Gate 3 can also be very slow to load and just waiting for a while at 100%, will eventually load.

(Tried to edit my post and it disappeared, so here it is again)

Best G3D settings I’ve found so far:

-Set G3D Shadow Treatment to ‘Auto’ in vorpX settings, for normal cutscene/character creator hair color.
-Set Shadow Quality to ‘Low’ or ‘Medium’ in game settings.
-Set Anti-aliasing to ‘OFF’ in game settings.
-Set Subsurface scattering to ‘OFF’ in game settings.
-Set Bloom to ‘OFF’ in game settings.
-Set G3D to ‘1.10’ in vorpX settings(personal preference).
-Set Dialog Text Size to ’54px’ in game settings(personal preference).
-Set Alt key override to ‘NO’ in vorpX settings, to enable loot highlighting in game.

I prefer the G3D even with a couple of texture artifacts. I use Intel i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz and Nvidia 3080ti GPU with Valve Index HMD. Enjoy!
