Furthermore anything looks very strange as if I was playing in 640×360. On my monitor anything is super sharp (3440×1440 resolution) but on my headset (Quest 2) it is so pixelated and blurry.

This is a Vorpx bug that causes the squished and pixelated image occasionally. It can be fixed by cycling between full screen and windowed mode in WOW game menu/system. I created a key binding for full screen for my keyboard in WOW/game menu/key bindings/ miscellaneous, then set a button on my mouse to that key binding. This allows me to fix the bug instantly while playing with the click of my mouse.

Still hoping for a bug fix, can be distracting especially in team dungeon settings.

Yeah, I’m going to have to ask you to elaborate on this.

Lol. I use the valve index hmd and did not like the uncomfortable pressure points and weight that happen inevitably with long sessions of gaming, so I developed a custom mod to alleviate these. I use this mod for seated 3d theatre mode in vorpx(immersive mode could work as well) or any other seated vr compatible game or app.

I use a studioform creative counter balance, with comfort head strap and a series of bungee cords small to large. Small end connected to the top strap of the hmd, large end connected to a hook in the ceiling. I tie knots in the bungee cords to control the height. I position the hook on the hmd top strap, forward or backward, to control the tilt(up or down).

I ended up with complete 180 degree horizontal weightless movement from side to side. Up and down movement are limited but if the hmd is on loosely, I can move my head inside to focus the sweet spot anywhere on screen. I actually removed the head gasket completely and moved the lenses as close as possible to my eyes, for ultra clarity and better sweet spot.

Looks a little ridiculous, but the comfort gained for long vr sessions is worth it for me.

    3. Resident Evil 2
    4. The Witcher 3
    5. Rise of the Tomb Raider/ Shadow of the Tomb Raider
    6. Code Vein
    7. Nier: Automata
    8. Resident Evil Village
    9. Dark Souls Remastered
    10. Remember Me

With Nier:Automata as an example, my system cannot handle it in g3d. I was able to get z3d looking almost as good by turning texture filtering to 0 and anti aliasing off, in the game settings. Also turning up z3d to max 3.0. Turning texture filtering off made the biggest difference for the z3d 3d effect though.

Anyone able to get the cloud profile by Syberjunkie z-normal 3d to work? I have tried this profile and I cannot get any type 3d to work.

Okay thanks. If this helps, the 2 times I was able to get it to work, it seemed to do with how the game loaded(After, I could enter the game world in g3d without freezing, until I restarted the game). Unfortunately, I was unable to recreate what I changed to make the g3d work without freezing.

I am having the same issue. I got it to work twice and am trying to recreate what I changed to make it work. It is definitely the g3d causing the freezing because when turned off, it starts fine and as soon as g3d is tuned back on, it freezes.

Thanks, I use bit defender and have had to turn off advanced threat defence since installing vorpx, to make it work. I will try turning it back on and see what happens.

I have similar issues whenever I make resolution changes to the game, change from full screen to windowed, make vorpx changes like changing room anti aliasing thru vorpx menu or anything that triggers the waiting steam overlay, I get huge fps drop until I restart the game. Also the z3d does not work after making any of these above changes until I restart the game. Once all these settings are dialed in though, the fps and z3d work perfectly. Actually this game is truly great in z3d! Thanks Ralf! I play in cinema mode, have i7-9700k, rtx2070, valve index hmd and controllers, xbox controller. Forgot to mention cyberpunk 2077 had this similar fps drop issue at launch but was fixed.

I played Cyberpunk 2077 and am playing red dead 2 right now with a rtx 2070 which is about the same as a 1080, at 1440p on high quality. Both games run well.

Cyberpunk 2077 in vorpx has been my best gaming experience to date. I love vorpx so much and tbh I haven’t played a single non vorpx VR game or pancake game on my monitor since I bought vorpx 5 months ago. I even built a mod that suspends my HMD from the ceiling specifically for long sessions of vorpx cinema gaming. Thanks for creating this amazing software! I would gladly pay a sub it.

    @ Kaaliba

I was having the same issue with fps starting out great, then dropping and never recovering. Looks like you have mostly solved the issue, but want to mention to everyone that I noticed the cause for me was primarily from using photomode in a non standard resolution like 2880 x 1600. I have similar setup, RTX 2070, I7 9700k, valve index. Every time I snapped a photo, the game fps would drop progressively to the point of reaching 0 fps then crash. I noticed this seems to be a CP77 bug and not vorpx, as the photos taken in 2880 x 1600 resolution will be saved as 1920 x 1080 photos instead of 2880 x 1600. I changed the resolution to 2560 x 1440 and no fps drops occur and the photos saved are in the matching 2560 x 1440 resolution. I still get fps drops when switching from vorpx to the steam vr overlay but the fps recovers when going back into vorpx.

    @ Ralf

Thankyou, CP77 is amazing in vorpx, loving Z3D!

NieRAutomata and Code Vein with G3D turned up to 5.0 have a doll house effect.

I would love to see a profile for shadow of war as well. I am playing shadow of mordor right now and it is pretty amazing with vorpx.
