buckjohnstonParticipant
To OP and others here, vorpx is great, but there is really no reason to use vorpx with this anymore when the lukeross00 r.e.a.l VR mod for GTA V is out. It would be like using vorpx on Alien Isolation still when there’s a great mod out there.
That GTA mod feels almost like native quality. Especially on the higher refresh rates with the index so the alternate frame rendering is not that noticeable. In addition all cut scenes work perfecty in VR now. Here’s the link: https://github.com/LukeRoss00/gta5-real-mod
buckjohnstonParticipantI would also like to know this. I have been playing a ton of warzone with family. I’m not really a call of duty or battle royal fan but it’s been a blast. The fact that you can get a second chance when you die, and you’re team can buy you back I think did it.
I would be wiling to buy the single player game also if I knew it would work with vorpx. I hear the campaign is very good.
buckjohnstonParticipantI found there was both too little ammo but also too few enemies
You gotta turn cheats on. It makes it a blast, i’m telling ya, and I’m not usually one for cheating. Set the game to hard for more enemies then go to the console (~) key. Type sv_cheats 1, then type god, then impulse 101, then sv_infinite_clips 1
Have fun!
buckjohnstonParticipantEdit: Nevermind it works, thank you.
buckjohnstonParticipantBump. Just wanted to say ralf. I felt the same way the first 3 hours or so.. in the end I just opened the console and did sv_cheats 1 “GOD” and “Impulse 101” and turned the difficulty to Hard mode for more enemies and then the fun started lol. Once you get to the half way point of the game it really starts to make sense and pickup on the action. I really just wanted to see the story and shoot stuff and feel I didn’t miss out on much by cheating to be honest. Maybe I missed out on looting and the tension of inventory management and shooting/reloading, but I didn’t really have that much fun doing that anyway.
The first half of the game really feels a lot like underground dark cooridors and tunnels, still cool seeing the graphics, but it really starts opening up I after that. You really don’t want to miss it.
buckjohnstonParticipantLooks like Vampyr which is an UE4 profile, even though this game is on a heavily modified version of UE3 it still worked.
buckjohnstonParticipantJust fyi. You can adjust the fov to higher levels if you edit the gameusersetting.ini file for the game. Its hidden in a microsoft packages folder. I’ll try to post the exact location when I get home. I was able to override it to 140. Runs great with zbuffer 3d and fov looks a lot better now.
buckjohnstonParticipantJust some feedback out the outer worlds. The FOV seems really off, like zoomed in too far. Also Geometry 3D mode only works in one eye (the left one) for me. DirectVR scan was successful but it doesn’t look right. (in z buffer 3d)
I’ll try immersive screen mode now.
buckjohnstonParticipantHey Ralf, I have the windows store version of the outer worlds and it’s not hooking. The game starts and I see the main menu but I only see the SteamVR home environment in the index. Any ideas?
Edit2: Nevermind, I rebooted and it works now.
buckjohnstonParticipantThanks for the info man, I just tried again today actually haha. I think I will give up now with that news.
buckjohnstonParticipant@jjensson I just tested steam version also and can confirm that Easy anti-cheat appears to be blocking it as it won’t hook. Tried all the UE4 profiles.
buckjohnstonParticipantThanks for the info, I may look into the bypass for now. Really want to play the campaign in vorpx!
buckjohnstonParticipantIt seems I cant access the gears folder from windows store version so will have to wait for steam release to try this.
buckjohnstonParticipantThanks, though I just found out this game uses easy anti cheat and that it blocks vorpx :(
I’ll try it out tonight when game releases and report back.
buckjohnstonParticipantI just uninstalled advanced settings and now I am the correct height in vorpx and sitting in the chair. Must be some sort of conflict with advanced setings, windows mr, and vorpx?
