dborosevParticipantLol just saw this.
Red dead redemption
Cyberpunk 2077Too niche. 😉
dborosevParticipantYep Dellrifter, that fix you suggested is what did it.
dborosevParticipantI know right. Such a gorgeous game in 3D. And since its Z3D you can crank the settings too. I know you’ve been looking forward to Jedi, but one thing this game just oozes (where jedi lacks) is freedom. Freedom to just enjoy this massive world and follow your own path.
Might have to try first person mode again, now that we have some stuttering tweaks and patches that should help.
Cheers!
dborosevParticipantLooks like a new update is releasing today to fix the stuttering:
https://www.vg247.com/2019/11/13/red-dead-redemption-2-update-will-address-stuttering-issue/
dborosevParticipantI started a thread about this in technical support a few days ago.
Here is my findings:
– Its minor for me at least
– Sounds like its not VorpX by the internet chatter.
– It doesn’t *seem* to be related to CPU or GPU, or any graphical settings. It actually happens the most when I’m in first person mode and indoors or up close to something.
– The FOV mod may make it worse, haven’t tested enough to tell.In any case, I’ve decided I like 3rd person better for this game anyways, so I rarely get the stutter there. Even in first person it was tolerable.
dborosevParticipantHey Ralf,
Yes I’m aware of that. However this isn’t is that, as it only stutters when up close to items, or staring at a wall 3 feet in front of you in First Person mode. Not at all in open settings with trees buildings and people where normal framerate issues would occur.
Could be the mod, or something else by the sound of it. Perhaps the game itself doesn’t like its FOV changed the way its being changed.
Anyhow, its a non-issue, I only mention it for posterity in case others ran into it as well. If I determine what it is, I’ll update.
dborosevParticipantVorpX updates are anything but annoying. Cool a possible fix for this WMR/SteamVR issue! I’ll give it a try this afternoon!
dborosevParticipantI can’t remember for sure, but I think I saw that and it was on by default. Could be wrong. I’ll double check though, thx. For the most part, the game traps it fairly well, but sometimes in the map or using certain keys it seems to escape occasionally.
FOV mod works well too. Now I just need to quit my current life so I have time to take on this new life.
dborosevParticipantHey Dellrifter22, let me know if you find any good way to get a nice 4:2 or 5:4 aspect ratio without squishing. I’ve been playing around with it, but haven’t hit the sweet spot yet. If I run in a window, I can get it any way I want, but then the problem is it loses focus sometimes in the middle of gameplay which sucks.
If I run fullscreen at 1920×1440, and use VorpX’s 16:10 aspect ratio, it looks pretty good with only a tiny bit of squishing.
I’ll play some more as well.
dborosevParticipantNexus has been saying:
The file is currently being uploaded to our file servers and it will be ready to be downloaded soon.
since yesterday. Looks like you need to download from the original webpage in the nexus comments.
dborosevParticipantSounds good apollon01.
dborosevParticipantYeah I know its just a WMR issue. No other headset still kicking around unfortunately. Just have to put up with it for a while until things get ironed out more. I’m just happy I can play for now, even if it takes longer to get started.
dborosevParticipantWell had a somewhat successful night. I got it to run twice after a bunch of testing, had 2 solid hours of play out of it.
Seems like a reboot is a necessity, and even more, I’ve found that unplugging the USB and plugging it back in after a reboot may increase the odds of the game showing up in the HMD. Probably why some people have found that full shutdowns work.
Its finicky for now, but hey its working! I definitely ain’t complaining!
What a damn gorgeous game.
dborosevParticipant@Dellrifter, very cool that there is a fov mod. I’ll let the more stable people be the first to attempt it, but I can’t wait to try it eventually.
dborosevParticipantIts videos like this that need to be shared around the internet so people can get a grasp on what VorpX is and what it can do.
