@RJK_ – something a bit funky is going on with your DDoS protection or something like that, I get the following trying to view your link: https://i.imgur.com/VE5Pw2W.png
Not doing any proxying or anything particularly interesting on my side
gabe_bParticipantFinal Fantasy XV support is meant to be coming in the next release. I’ve paused my playthrough for that. Haven’t heard of anyone getting FF XIV to work, was curious about that myself.
gabe_bParticipantI played for a few weeks earlier on this year. I have no history with WoW before this asides from a brief stint on a private server in around 2008. Added a couple of modules – Mouselook Toggle and expanded character stats.
Played in G3D with mouse and keyboard, a bunch of rebinding. Was decent. Solo quested to the mid-twenties. Was a bit confused by it all, but that’s usually the case as a noob in an MMO. Playing in Theatre mode with Ambient surrounds and just the slightest bit of head tracking (0.03) for effect.
Looked great, definitely seemed big. Riding the various forms of public transport was the shit.Had a go at the Console Port gamepad thing but couldn’t get it going. Others have though. I was kind of bored of it by then. I have been playing a lot of ESO over the last couple of years and it all felt like a bit of a step backwards. Definitely works well though.
gabe_bParticipantWhile I hope that’s true I kind of doubt it. The NMS community is getting increasingly cargo-cultish, reading a lot into every little thing that Hello Games puts out. Didn’t the last rumbling turn out to be Xbone release? Or have there been other hints?
As for Vorpx I’ve had no luck. Geometry runs terribly, Z-Normal looks funky.
gabe_bParticipantYou can disable Steam VR Overlay in the Developer option in the SteamVR settings desktop view.
The change came in a recent SteamVR patch. Just dumb bloody design on Valve’s part
gabe_bParticipantAwesome. Thanks Ralf, you’re a champ. Looking forward to it
gabe_bParticipantI haven’t adjusted the previous resolution. I was running it at 1080, assume I still am. I also don’t try to run it in VR mode, I don’t think that would work at all. Either Cinema mode or Immersive Screen mode with Headtracking set to about 0.5. Regardless of rendering resolution you can adjust the aspect ratio to something that can be contained in your FOV. In WOW for instance I have it rendering at 1080 but then displayed in Vorpx Cinema mode at 5:4 aspect ratio so I can keep everything in sight
gabe_bParticipantI have on earlier builds. Works alright. One of the Z3D modes appeared to be doing the job. It’s the same engine as Dragon Age Inquisition, which looks amazing.
gabe_bParticipantI just started a new character with the intention of playing it all in Vorpx. Works good with the gamepad controls
