LaserParticipant<p abp=”237″>OMG at least have a freaking beta program or something I don’t care about the bugs my rift has been sitting still for 2 months now and I bought a 980 ti 2 months ago and have STILL not even used it with oculus yet!!!
Current VorpX is allready a “beta” program hence the sub 1.0 driver versions, or do you want a beta of a beta? If he would release a buggy mess that crashed all the time, people just bitch about broken driver and demand a refund or something.
People just buy the devkit rifts and expect all things running smooth all the time.
LaserParticipantThanks for the update on 0.9. Now I don’t have to update vorpx page three times a day (I’ll just do it twice now) ;)
LaserParticipantYou have to make rift the primary monitor so the games launch there instead of your monitors.

LaserParticipantNot going to miss extended mode in the long run, its pain to use while trying launch games etc. But I did have to do a second windows install to run the older sdk so I can run those older rift applications and obviously use vorpx there until the new version comes out.
LaserParticipantPlayed bit more of it, actually it seems there are only few shadows that don’t work properly, most seem ok and haven’t seen other issues with geometry mode. Shadow fix doesn’t seem to be there and if it doesn’t take too much time, maybe include it in the next update?
Z3D works good too but if there are only minor issues with geometry mode I’ll continue with it…… that is if I can. This game seriously scares the shit out of you. :D
LaserParticipantBought this from steamsale and I have the same problem, some shadows render differently on left/right eye, also I noticed when I ran the optimizer it missed one of the “bsmoothframerate” settings and had to change it manually.
So any way to fix the shadow issue, otherwise it seems to run good with vorpX.
LaserParticipantCant get out of cinema mode? Always worked for me changing from the vorpx menu and zooming in/out with middle mouse.
Actual specs of the Computer and the game being used? check the fps also.
LaserParticipantIf I understand your question correctly it is just the way normal fps games works. Look isn’t decoupled from the walking direction, you would have to have native rift game to achieve this or allready implemented in the game.
LaserParticipantWhat Oculus runtime are you using?
LaserParticipantI guess the current vorpX version isn’t 0.6sdk compatible so any idea how long for the next version, short or long wait until it is supported by vorpX? :)
LaserParticipantI just remembered that Im also using the non steam version and the optimizer applied the settings correctly.
LaserParticipantNon default locations are problem in some games for me too, maybe it could be possible in future versions to navigate to the config files manually to apply the changes or add information in the optimizer what values need to be changed so someone can do them manually.
LaserParticipantI think the optimizer changes the DirectX mode to 9 and fov settings. Teso online in vr is very demanding, if you are running on high graphic settings, try lowering them and observe the fps ingame. AA kills performance in many vr games, I can’t test this myself anymore since I don’t have the game at the moment.
LaserParticipantWhen I have problems I double check that everything has right settings. Sometimes even games adjust their config files themselves so making the config file read only after changing the settings might help in some cases. Apply the optimizer patch, if that works, make the config file read only and remember to check that resolution is at 1920×1080.
LaserParticipantThanks, previously I had expert options enabled but had to reinstall so they weren’t availabe, have to check those “old” features now.
