I was using the wrong files. I was using the glide files found in the 3Dfx folder and not the d3d9 files found in the MS folder.

But, I’m having the same issues as rich0550. I have 64 bit operating system so I tried the d3d9 file found in the X64 folder but also tried the d3d9 file found in the X86 folder. I also tried re-naming them to v3d9.dll. Still didn’t work. I also tried running the game in windowed mode, and in VorpX general settings tried alternate hooking method and “try to block known game overlays”. And still nothing.

RJK_ can you tell us exactly what you did to get the game to run. Like, where you put the d3d9 file and what type X64 or X85 d3d9 file are you using? Did you just drop the file by itself in the game folder? What are your VorpX general settings? I feel like we’re so close if you in fact have the game running. We just need to know exactly and specifically what you did?…

How come the Rayman Origins profile doesn’t work with Rayman Legends? They are still both using the same UbiArt Framework engine…

I guess Rayman Legends uses a custom engine Ubisoft made called UbiArt Framework. Just wondering what profiles might be compatible with it?

Using DGVoodoo2 for a DX9 game requires additional steps https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/news-on-dgvoodoo-2/#post-176451https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/news-on-dgvoodoo-2/page/2/#post-192542

I suggest trying other DX9 profiles from the cloud before doing that though.

From that link: “– rename d3d9.dll to v3d9.dll”

All of my files are named Glide.dll that I downloaded from here: https://github.com/dege-diosg/dgVoodoo2/releases

Also, how do you know Rayman Legends is a DX9 game? I don’t know what profiles are DX9 do you have any suggestions?

I copied these 3 files into the game folder as it said here but it didn’t work. Unless I’m doing something wrong:

-Download the latest version of dgVoodoo 2 and extract the archive.

-Open the MS\x86 folder and copy D3D8.dll, D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll files.

-Paste the files into the game installation folder where the game executable is.

Thanks, I got it to work by turning off the option to block game overlays and also turning off alternate hooking method found in the VorpX general settings. And of course, starting the game in windowed mode.

The 3D works in z-normal and I got the 3D to pop out better by going to crystal image any selecting aggressive.

I’ll upload the profile to the cloud so everyone can try it out. Thanks again!

I couldn’t get the Tokyo 42 profile to hook. I ran it in windowed and borderless like you said but no luck. Is there something I’m missing or any other profiles I can try?

I tried a handful of additional profiles and the only one’s I’ve found so far that do z3d are too low strength – essentially flat, if you compare them to tridef. Must be something strange with the depth buffer, maybe it’s logarithmic or something – I dunno.

Which profiles were those that worked. Because sometimes the 3D doesn’t work if Antialiasing is turned on. And this game has the option to turn antialiasing off in the in-game settings. Maybe if I turn it off the 3D will work.

How come someone was able to get Ys: Seven to work but not this game?
