Press Delete on your keyboard while in the game to open up the vorpX menu. Play around with the various settings. Maybe try Cinema Mode? Or one of the other modes. And I think you should be able to paly around with the field of view in a few of those video modes…

Also, if you encounter graphical glitches during gameplay or during cutscenes, lower VU Cycle stealing back down to 0.

And just a reminder: Set the renderer to Direct 3D11 Hardware. Also, try to at least set the graphics to 2X Native (3X for better quality picture/resolution, if your computer can handle it).

Lastly, If you have Steam and are using an XBox 360 controller make sure you go into the Steam launcher, go to “Big Picture Mode”/Config/Controllers and uncheck all controller options. If anything is checked you will have controller issues.

Also regarding PCSX2, use Z normal for 3d. And If you need to improve the framerate you can also just set the resolution to 2X.

If you see that the 3D keeps turning off and on, that means you have to go back into the “configure VorpX icon” and go back into the general tap and uncheck save, then re-check and save the “alternative hook in method” setting.

Then load up the game from the FFX.exe file until the 3D stays hooked in.

If the 3d doesn’t stay hooked in just keep trying to use the alternate hook in method, save and close out of the configure Vorpx interface and keep loading up the game until it works.

Also, make sure to launch from the installation folder with the .exe file (FFX). If you launch from the desktop icon and the 3d doesn’t stay hooked in, you might have to uncheck “Alternate hook in method” in the General tab save changes and then re check it and save changes and then relaunch from the installation file as stated above. So it stays hooked in.

I got the 3d to work slightly. Or as best as we’re going to get I guess. Unless anyone else want’s to take a crack at it. None of the Quake profiles worked.

What I did was: I used the “Alternative Hook in method” and I made a profile based on the game “Unravel”. Also I checked off and used the “Expert Settings”, found in the general tab.

The game is best viewed with “immersive screen” or “cinema mode”. Use z-normal for 3d reconstruction. Have 3d strength and Depth Weighting set to max. Finally, just turn up Focal Distance no more than 10.

It looks 3d now, but I have a feeling it could look better than this. But I guess it’s better than nothing…I uploaded the profile to the cloud as “Final Fantasy X HD Remaster” if anyone want’s to check it out.

What is the alternative hooking method and how do I do it?

Unfortunately, Orcs and Men didn’t hook in and the other Silk/Phyre games aren’t in the VorpX profile list.

So, how would I go about telling FFX to work with OpenGL? I don’t see the option in settings within the game…

The only PhyreEngine game that hooked in was Unravel but I didn’t get the 3D to work. Are there any other engines or profiles that could work with FFX?

Anyone have any other suggestions? I was so close…

I just found out that FF10 HD remake uses the PhyreEngine. If anyone wants to try to get the game to work, here is a list of game profiles to try it with:

I’ll eventually be trying them out in the near future. But, in the mean time, if anyone can figure out if any of these works, that would be great.
