    edit
    “ScreenWidth” “*”
    “ScreenHeight” “*”

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEAR\settings.cfg

If I change the settings.cfg to anything higher than 1240×1080, it just defaults to 640x. I followed most of the pcgamingwiki instructions for F.E.A.R. (link below), but maybe I’m missing something.

The game resoultion maxes out at 1280×960 for me. Is there a way to raise it?

Thanks! I messed around with the display options, and changing to one of the windowed options gave me access to supersampled resolutions, so I’m currently running it at 2376×1485, and everything looks great!

Whoa! Can you tell me how to access these supersampled resolutions? My monitor is 720p and maxes at 1920×1080. So even if I do set the game’s resolution higher, it defaults back to whatever the external monitor is.

Is it just me, or are all the shadows in GTA V flickering like crazy?

For anyone who wants to set up Halo for VR, here are the steps. You can download all the necessary mods at…
    http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Halo:_Combat_Evolved).

    1. Make sure your installed copy of Halo has been updated to the latest version.

    2. Download and install the Halo Custom Edition mod.

    3. Download and install the Halo widescreen fix mod.

    4. Download and install the Halo FOV mod.

    5. Open VorpX Configuration, and check the Cloud files for Halo settings. If one exists for Halo, import, then apply and close.

    6. Run Halo single player. Open settings a set the resolution to the highest (I believe it’s 1920×1080). Once in game, hit the F6 key to increase the Field Of View by moving the mouse up and down. Once you find a comfortable spot, hit F6 again to lock it.

My personal preference is to go into the VorpX settings during gameplay, and increase the 3D Separation to really make the 3D pop. I’m still looking for a mod to get rid of the crosshairs. I also don’t know if there’s a 1st person mod for vehicles, but I guess I could get used to 3rd person during vehicle sequences if I had to.

The FOV! Of course! The one mod in the list of Custom Edition mods I forgot to install. That and the no-crosshair mod. Thank you, Ralf!

I wouldn’t skip any steps. Redownload and import your profile of choice and do all the other steps as well, just in case. Getting on a plane so I’ll continue later. Good luck!

Oh, sorry. Didn’t realize you weren’t running a mod. If you’re just running vorpx with the vanilla game, Have you done all the steps to configure the game in the vorpx configuration panel? Here’s a quick step guide to help you…

As for the question about a frame rate cap, from my understanding there is a cap, and you can disable it to get crazy high frame rates at the risk of getting crazy low frame rates as well. I’ve done it myself with my 1080, but it’s better if Ralf answer with the details, as I don’t even I understand what I’m doing half the time.

The mods are better only if you want to use your hands. Which for me makes all the difference.

If you’re not using the grandtheftVR mod, which one are you using? The only other one I know of does not use vorpx, which would explain why you’re having problems. If vorpx is running when you run the mod, it will mess it all up. Also, since the mod doesn’t use vorpx, it should run twice as fast. However, because the mod doesn’t use vorpx, it won’t be in 3D and will look and feel very 2D and flat. Like a 360 video.

As for your GPU, they say the 970 is a lower, if not lowest end card for regular VR. Which means it’s really low end for playing non-native VR games in 3D.

As for the grandtheftVR mod, it stopped working for me after the last rockstar update via steam. I’ve been out of town for a month and was hoping it would be updated by now. I’m bummed out to hear it hasn’t been. You can email the developer from the download page. He eventually replies when I do.

Yeah, that doesn’t sound right. I’ve never experienced a warped effect. Although low frame rate can definitely make you nauseous. What resolution are you running it in? What about graphics settings? I have a 1080 FTW and can’t go too high without ruining my fps. Also, which GTAVR mod are you using? Only one of them is designed to work with vorpx. The other one won’t work right if vorpx is on.

Not the ENB graphics mod, the ENBoost memory fix. It fixes the game’s memory allocation and greatly improved performance.

Just to confirm, you’re saying the benefits of the 64 bit SE doesn’t improve performance enough compared to the faster original version? With or without the ENB memory boost patch?

For now you can create a new profile using the Fallout 4 profile.

Why the Fallout 4 profile vs the Skyrim profile?
