Hi. Does anyone have problems with detecting the game?

Are you using a ScriptHook mod? GTA V steam updated last night, rendering the latest version of ScriptHook incompatible. Try removing the mod, or just give it a few days for the ScriptHook developer to update.

    async timewarp

Is this exclusive to an Oculus, or is this with the Vive as well?

I’m playing with gtx970 and the Vive. I have been trying quite a lot and i think that the best resolution with most games is 1280×1440, which looks really good in this headset. I wouldn’t go under that as it affects negatively the image more than lowering the ingame details imo.

Are you running GTA V in 1280×1440 with Pixil 1:1, Letterbox 1, or Letterbox 2?

Yes, that’s the resolution I’ve been using. I went ahead and lowered all my settings, uninstalled the GrandTheftVR mod, and now it’s running smoothly. I’ll try to reinstall the mod and see how it works on the lowest game settings. This card is only $200, which is great so long as I use minimum settings. Hopefully the Vive’s runtime catches up with the Oculus runtime.

Do you still have body positioning activated?

Ah. I switched to the Vive. Haven’t used Oculus in months. Is your mod compatible with the Vive’s OpenVR runtime?

It’s called “GTAV-R HUD” and you can find it on nexusmods (for some reason I couldn’t post the link)

I noticed it requires installing Open IV. Obviously you’re biased, but do you think it’s worth it if that’s the only Open IV mod I’ll use?

This is all great! Does anyone know of any more mods to enhance VR? I’ve found a lot for Skyrim, but not other games.

Actually there is a perfectly working HUD mod but people are too l*zy to search (I updated it for 8:9 custom resolutions a few months ago already)

That’s great! You should post this on reddit! /r/Vive and /r/oculus!

You need a GTA mod to reposition the minimap. There used to be a mod that did this, but last I remember, the developer hadn’t updated it to work with the latest version of GTA. He may have updated it since then though. Or maybe someone else made one. Check the mod pages.

Are you sure this is a VorpX issue? Try the suggestions in the following link…

How do I get this to work properly? When I go to VR mode from cinema mode I get grey bars on the top and bottom of the screen.

Can you be more specific? Are you using the GTA VR mod? Do you have a Rift or a Vive? What resolution are you running in?

Works PERFECT on the GTX 1080!

Are you teleporting or using the trackpad as a thumbstick to move around?

There is now a mod that gets vive motion controls working and fixes the FOV on the vive. Actually works pretty good Follow the instructions on this page:

    Alpha Vive Support

    <iframe class=”wp-embedded-content” sandbox=”allow-scripts” security=”restricted” style=”position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);” src=”http://grandtheftvr.com/alpha-vive-support/embed/?hd=1#?secret=Ng4A4tAeUo&#8221; data-secret=”Ng4A4tAeUo” width=”490″ height=”276″ title=”Embedded WordPress Post” frameborder=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ scrolling=”no”></iframe>

The left controller teleports and also moves using the touch pad while aiming the controller in a direction. The right wand shoots and equips items (press on the touch pad for weapon selection menu)

To get tons of weapons in game press ~ and in the console type toolup then press enter (this can be done multiple times to get more ammo for weapons)

    Then go crazy

Yes. This is a great mod. I only wish the trackpad/joystick controls were better. Teleporting around is far too easy. I’d much rather use the thumb controls to walk/run around. Like it is in the Half Life VR mod.
