Confirmed this one works pretty well actually. Make sure you use thee original Doom and not Doom 3. OpenGl is mentioned in the description of the one I used. Then my only gripe is that the controls are not really setup for first person view. So some tweaking is required. In any case, its more than enough to get you pointed in the right direction and the game plays smoothly for me on my ATI rig.
slonaker.jParticipantI have tested and confirmed that ESO is definitely hooking again. In fact, performance is better than ever! i am running radeon r290 on an i7 with 16gb ram. I can run ESO in vorpx with settings on Ultra and a barely lose frames, almost never dropped below 60fps in an outdoor area.
WELL done VorpX!
thx Ralf!
slonaker.jParticipantHow about ffxiv? Do we have a snowballs chance in hell of seeing this title any time?
slonaker.jParticipantWell thanks for verifying Ralf. Just a heads up, World of Warcraft seems to do the same thing. :/ Even though WoW is essentially unplayable on rift imho, it was cool to try out occasionally. I have gta v,bioshock 1/2/Infinite and halflife 2… all I want is ESO! ugh! lol
slonaker.jParticipantHey Ralf, any idea on when we might see the next update with ESO fixed? I’m extremely bummed about this not working now. :/ I used to look soooo forward to playing ESO after work in VR. Now the game feels so much LESS without VR! *grumbles to self*
My setup
DK2 / SDK .8/ Radeon r290x 3GB / 16GB Ram / i7 (4770) 3.4GhzMost games on the supported games list still work just fine. Some work even better than before from the looks of things. I just tried Bioshock Infinite. Pretty fun. Works flawlessly. Definitely playable with some setting adjustments. Since ESO and World Of Warcraft BOTH stopped working though, I am weary to even try a new title based on the supported games list… :/
So anyway. I know you said it will be looked at by the next update but I was hoping for a more concise answer than that if possible.
Thanks
slonaker.jParticipantThanks for the reply. Does this mean I am waiting for 0.9.1 to come out for eso?
slonaker.jParticipantNo idea on elderscrolls online then anyone?
slonaker.jParticipantI had success with GTA5 by switching back and forth to cinema mode. Matter of fact, this was the case for a few games I tried. I lost my mouse a few times and then I got stuck with the zoom window. I’m sure Ralf will have these bugs worked out soon :)
slonaker.jParticipantError when launching ESO —> The rendering API is not supported (D3D11)
No errors but no HMD with D3D9attempted forcing dx9 through vorpx config manager; still no luck. Was working fine before update.
slonaker.jParticipantElder Scrolls online -> Doesn’t launch to HMD; mouse stops working.
World of warcraft -> doesnt launch to HMD; mouse stops working.
GTA 5 -> Working great!
Half Life 2 -> Working great!REALLY hoping to get ESO figured out if anyone has any tips. Thanks!
slonaker.jParticipantSo Elder Scrolls Online isn’t working anymore. Big sad face.
Other games seem to be fine but ESO doesnt ever make it to the HMD. I noticed that the mouse is inaccessible if the vorpx watcher us up and ESO launches but no HMD action. Helps! I have been chomping at the bit for this update just so I could play ESO without rolling back drivers and unplugging extra monitors. Now I can’t even roll back because the old vorpx isnt available. :(
