RalfKeymasterRegarding the G3D confusion earlier in the thread: my bad, sorry guys. I had to temporarily set the G3D flag in the profile to enable the shader authoring UI for defining HUD/menu shaders and forgot to unset it prior to release. Hence G3D was selectable at first in the menu. It didn’t do anything though, the profile itself is Z3D only.

RalfKeymasterGood find, I couldn’t make that work by just changing the max. value in the user settings file originally, which got reset when restarting the game. If this solution comes without side effects, I’ll add it to the auto settings for the game.
Small manual FOV change hint:
Any FOV different from 100.0 will currently require manual vorpX ImageZoom adjustment in FullVR mode to make game and headset FOV match. The profile currently comes with the right settings for FOV 100.0, manually changing the game FOV to anything else is only recommended for those who feel comfortable tweaking vorpX settings afterwards to make game and headset FOV match again.
RalfKeymasterGreat, I’ll take a closer look and see whether something can be done, would definitely be good to have it fully working with DLSS enabled. No promises though.
RalfKeymasterI had that a few times when I used the gamepad to navigate the vorpX menu and save settings, fairly odd. Using the mouse however always worked. Might or might not have been conincidence, but worth a shot if you also encountered this with a gamepad. Will look into that later.
RalfKeymasterThat’s a bit more complicated, there also is an ini file that has to created, which differs depending on the type of background.
if vorpX can’t write to your documents folder, you disallowed that somewhere, trust me. one option would be the Windows privacy settings. If it’s not that, it pretty much has to be your AV program, although not necessarily the scanner part. It may (and probably will) have different exclusion lists for different things.
RalfKeymasterGreat. If we can narrow down an offending setting, I could easily set that automatically to the required value whenever someone changes it. I’ll double check that mission with different settings tomorrow myself.
@ Obneric : please still send the settings file (before you change anything). Having a settings file that provokes this glitch would make things a lot easier.
RalfKeymasterOdd, I played that mission too during my play test without encountering this issue. Would be great if you could e-mail your settings file to support at vorpx com. maybe the issue is related to certain graphics settings. The file can be found here: C:\Users\[Your User]\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\UserSettings.JSON.
Caveat: the AppData folder is hidden per default.
RalfKeymasterJust a guess, but if you happen to play with inverted mouse, try to disable that. Alternatively ther are X/Y invert settings in the vorpX menu for inverted mouse players (head tracking page).
RalfKeymasterDid you maybe disallow apps to access your Documents folder, either in the Windows options or your antivirus program? Looks a lot like that. The final images are stored in [Documents]\vorpX. If that is the case, you would have to whitelist vorpConfig.exe and probably also every game that you want to use the backgrounds with later.
RalfKeymasterYou don’t have to use the TrackIR feature. It shouldn’t even be enabled for ETS2 per default. Did you maybe enable it to try it out? Either way, let me know if disabling TrackIR in the vorpX menu (and the game if necessary) doesn’t help.
RalfKeymasterThat’s odd for sure. Which version of the game do you have? Steam or GOG? If it’s the GOG version the shaders might differ from the Steam version, in that case vorpX wouldn’t be able to detect the HUD. That’s not overly likely though.
As a workaround you can use vorpX’s EdgePeek function (right thumbstick/mouse wheel click). EdgePeek temporarily zooms to a cinema like view in FullVR mode, which is also useful for watching cutscenes, using menus and so on.
RalfKeymaster@ walsru : Do you mean the minimap? You can scale down the HUD further on the image page of the vorpX menu, that would bring the minimap closer to the screen center.
RalfKeymasterSeems like the profile is missing in action entirely in the last release. Thanks for the heads-up. I uploaded a profile database update. Should download when you launch vorpX next time. If not, you can grab the ‘Red Dead Redemption 2 [vorpX]’ profile from the cloud.
RalfKeymasterSmall FOV change disclaimer:
Any FOV different from 100.0 will require manual vorpX ImageZoom adjustment in FullVR mode to make game and headset FOV match. The profile comes with the right settings for FOV 100.0, changing the game FOV to anything else is only recommended for those who feel safe tweaking vorpX settings afterwards to make game and headset FOV match again.
RalfKeymasterI’ll work on memory scanner tracking tomorrow. Can’t say anything yet, havent’t tried so far.
