RalfKeymasterAfter some more testing I think FluidSync should definitely be on for this game. I’ll upload another hotfix that forces it to ‘Auto’ on every game start, which usually will mean ‘On’ unless 90fps (or whetever your headset uses normally) can be reached safely. Seems to be the best way to (literally) ensure smooth operation for everyone.

RalfKeymasterOdd that this happens after changing the menu key. Can’t really imagine how that might be possible, but I’ll take a look at it and see whether I can replicate it here. You will have to restart MPC-HC for the change to take to effect, just in case you didn’t do that.
If you happen to have a gamepad connected to your PC, try that instead to use the vorpX menu. Tapping the left thumbstick button will open it and then you can navigate it pretty much like most game menus are navigated via a gamepad.
RalfKeymasterThat’s what I used incidentally. I didn’t change anything from what the game chose as default for my PC except for disabling motion blur and film grain, which should be done automatically by vorpX now. In general try to find something that provides a stable framerate above half your headset’s refresh rate. Best thing to get some extra FPS will probably be disabling raytracing, which seems to be on per default with a 3080.
What might make sense on the vorpX side is enabling FluidSync to cap the game frame rate at half the headset refresh rate. Worked fine for me without, but I didn’t check on a more ‘normal’ PC yet, where that might definitely be a good idea for a game as demanding as this.
RalfKeymaster@ dborosev: Again a game that switches the depth buffer occasionally. Tracking these changes worked fine for me here except for one cutscene. I skipped the tutorial area though. I’ll play a bit more later and keep an eye on it, but from the part I played (starting outside the city in my case until after the first mission in the city) I’m fairly certain depth extraction should be largely stable.
Depth is a lot stronger than in most other Z3D profiles though to make it work better in interiors, so there will be a bit more noticable shimmer around objects. Don’t touch any 3D related settings, i.e. use ‘Z-Normal’ and don’t crank 3D up beyond the default, default in this case means already about three times more stereo separation than the maximum would be in other Z3D profiles. If in doubt, reset the profile to default in the config app.
RalfKeymasterThanks! Should work again with the just released hotfix.
RalfKeymasterThere has been a hotfix release that *might* fix your Voice Attack issue. Worth to check it out again.
RalfKeymasterThe update that includes the profile (21.1.0.1) is online now.
RalfKeymasterThanks guys!
RalfKeymasterI rushed a bit through the first hour, but from what I saw I’d say this seems to be a *seriously* awesome game. I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it.
RalfKeymasterMight be the fastest profile ever. I think I did one other instantly after release, but can’t recall currently what that was, probably Fallout 4.
RalfKeymasterThere will be a hotfix including a Cyperpunk 2077 profile within the next half hour.
Z3D, FullVR, scalable HUD, auto settings. as good as it gets for a DX12 game at this point. Played through the first hour, all good so far. A lot of short cutscenes, at least at the beginning, so switching in and out of EdgePeek is your friend for best possible comfort.
RalfKeymasterProbably related to the changed keyboard input handling. I’ll take a look at it and release a hotfix as soon as possible.
For the time being please either use a gamepad or mouse/keyboard.
Short update: found the bug already. Luckily an easy fix, a hotfix will be made available within the next 24 hours, probably quite a bit faster.

RalfKeymasterYes, false positive. I’ll submit it to MS for whitelisting. Unfortunately that happens occasionally after an update.
No problem here with the latest Defender definitions though (just did a manual Windows update check). Maybe that also will solve it for you.
RalfKeymasterNo problem at all. Glad you got it sorted.
RalfKeymasterI checked the Steam version first, which also worked fine here.
Did you try to install a hook helper? The ‘Attaching to…’ dialog should offer that option after about a minute of waiting or so. That can help with many hooking conflicts without getting to the bottom of the matter by ensuring vorpX hooks as early as possible.
If that does not help: hooking issues almost always are caused by conflicts with other software that also hooks into games. The pinned trouble shooting post on top of this sub forum has more details on the matter.
