Looks like the Arma 3 devs recently changed the player profile path for whatever reason so that vorpX can’t find the profiles anymore. Apparently they are now under “My Documents\Arma 3 – Other Profiles” instead of “My Documents\Arma 3”.

I will adjust the DirectVR helper for the next vorpX version. Until then please use the linked calculator to change the config file manually: http://hia3.com/tools/armafovcalculator-en

FarmingSimulator2017.exe is just a launcher and must not be hooked by vorpX. vorpX is only supposed to hook the actual game .exe, which is FarmingSimulator2017Game.exe.

To solve this, simply delete your newly created profile. Alternatively you can do a full factory reset on the trouble shooting page.

    It’s pretty straight forward:

    1. Open the vorpX config app.
    2. Go to the “Cloud Profiles” page
(3.) If you didn’t do so already, create an account
    4. Enter the first few letters of the game name into the “Game/App” field
    5. Select and import the profile

Please note that user profiles are not guaranteed to work.

I’ll look into it, but it worked fine here not too long ago when G3D was added and since then no changes were made to the D3D renderer. So I can’t really recommend anything specific.

Running games windowed is worth a shot though since that may avoid device resets.

Apart from that: as said earlier already, please NEVER report issues with unsupported games as bugs here. Any “bug” with an usupported game that you encounter may very well be the reason for it being not supported in the first place.

It would also be great if you could check whether your issues also occur with Windows 10 before reporting them. For the time being I will ensure that vorpX generally works with Windows 7, but given the fact that more than 95% of VR users by now are on Windows 10, no Windows 7 specific issues with individual games will be addressed anymore. Time and resources are limited and the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Thanks for your understanding.

I didn’t have the chance to check this yet and won’t until next week, but please try to go back to an earlier SteamVR version. This message indicates an internal SteamVR error while it initializes. It’s not an vorpX error, but a SteamVR runtime error.

Since nothing has changed in vorpX, there’s a good chance that rolling back SteamVR to an earlier version helps.

The “Intel Extreme Tuning Utility” is a CPU/GPU tool that probably hooks into games and may create a conflict. Try to uninstall it.

Try to disable the integrated graphics in the BIOS if you didn’t do that already.

Try to exclude the vorpX program folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\) in Defender. Shouldn’t be necessary, but can’t hurt.

Also disabling the “Smartscreen” option in Windows Defender is worth a try.

Looks as if the SteamVR screenshot function treats the alpha channel differently for the left/right eye. Odd, but as long as it only affects SteamVR screenshots and not the actual image in the headset also definitely not something worth investigating.

Start issues like this one are likely caused by an injection conflict with other programs on your PC that also hook into games, especially if they occur with multiple games in a similar manner. Most likely candidates are: virus scanners, any sort of CPU/GPU utilities, game video recording/streaming software, chat programs and generally everything that can show notifictations in games.

Best way to trouble shoot this is to disable/uninstall programs running in the background.

Apart from that there are also a few less common potential pitfalls. These are listed in the trouble shooting sticky post.

If you want set the resolution manually, disable auto resolutions on the DirectVR page of the vorpX ingame menu.

Alternatively you can simply select a quality preset on the DirectVR page of the ingame menu. vorpX then figures out the closest matching resolution that the game allows and is available on your system (including added custom resolutions). This is often the better/safer way.

The download system is automated. It only takes a few minutes to get a new installer through the download form.

Can’t really say anything else than that the game is not supported. While vorpX can and does hook into many games that are not officially supported, there is no guarantee that every existing game can be injected.

That should not happen anymore with the latest vorpX version 18.2.4.

If you have this version and the issue still occurs, try to unplug/plug the gamepad after the DirectVR scan and check whether the gamepad is enabled in the game’s input options.

Still performs as well as it always did here.

Performance may depend on the location/level though, so as a first trouble shooting step I would suggest to load a different savegame. Also check whether you maybe have changed graphics settings compared to before, same for GPU driver settings. Antialising may impact performance quite heavily in some games for example, although I don’t think it does in this case.
