Try the game with vorpx 25.1.1, if it still crashes, use the fix from this site

Hi, I want to try Call of Duty 2 in VorpX and people are saying you NEED to do the fix at this page first: https://reshade.me/compatibility but that’s a 404 page now, so i don’t know what to do. Can anyone help?

I have had vopx for about 10 days now and have yet been able to get it too work. I have contacted support and have followed all of the suggestions they gave but no luck. seeing if anyone here can help. the errors I get is no oculus headset found I have the meta quest 3. Also getting the failed to attach exe. I have check to make sure nothing that can interfere with it is running. these are the steps I am doing. please let me know if they are not correct as I am new to this.
    1. opening vorpx config selecting oculus as device
    2. going to local profiles and selecting the profile for the game I am trying to use and clicking apply and close
    3. powering on the meta quest 3 which is connected via link cable to pc meta quest link software loads and says connected (although I have read that I should close the meta quest software because vorpx will detect without it so I have tried both ways)
    4. Then clicking on the shortcut on my desktop for the game I want to use. (although I have read that I shouldn’t and I should start the game through vorpx but have yet to see a option to do so)

I get attaching said exe then attaching exe failed then the menu option comes up where I can choose to install helper or preferred helper which I have tried both then I get no oculus headset found.

this is a 6 week old powerhouse windows 11 pro computer with more then enough hardware to run any game at max settings $2000+ 48GB ram RTX4060 TI MSI b760 4TB Samsung 990 pro with heatsink

I do have dual monitors which I just read this morning that this can be a possible issue so I have yet to try disabling one of them about to leave for work so don’t have time to try this. if anyone can assist it would be greatly appreciated. Games I have tried are Dirt 3, all GRID games, WRC Generation and Call of duty modern warfare.

Also just checking when they say to make sure there are no conflicting software running they just mean to stop there processes in task manager not uninstall them. I know that is a no brainer but I have spent over 30hr in 10 days trying to get this to work so I want to make sure Im not missing anything. I consider myself to be a above average computer technician and troubleshooter but this has me stumped to say the least.
    Please HELP someone

Hi I have a problem with getting the VR to move independently to the mouse. If I look around (call of duty 2) the weapon/mouse moves with my head while its meant to be like TrackIR? after I set “head tracking” to 0 I can no longer move the mouse with my view nor look around. This happens in full VR mode.

    Thanks.

    1. Search Cloud Profiles for “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare [vorpX]” and import the profile.
    2. Go to Local Profiles and find “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” right-click it and choose “Create a new profile based on this”
    3. Name the new profile and leave the boxes unchecked. Right click “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” again and choose “Export your vorpX settings to file”, save it.
    4. Find the new profile you created and select it, press Import Settings/Profile and select the file you just saved. Now go to “Add File” find your game install location and add the “MW2CR.exe”

This should be enough to get everything up and running.
Head-tracking works great, 3D looks really good. Game and headset running at 120FPS.
Motion controller support (no weapon attachments, lack of buttons)
The next steps are optional tweaks to get everything looking nice and filled-in.

    *vorpX Settings*
-Press “Delete” to open vorpX menu
Under Main Settings set the image zoom to .50 and Center tracking to make sure everything is straight.
Under Image Settings set the Clarity (FidelityFX) to Full.
    Press Okay&Save

    *MW2CR Video Settings*
This may be dependent on your graphics card, I’m using a 2080S 8GB card and have had no issues so far.

    *Video*
    Display Mode: Fullscreen
    Screen Refresh Rate: 60Hz
    Resolution: 3440×1440
    Aspect Ratio: Auto
    FOV: MAX (Adjust to liking)

    *Advanced Video*
    Sync every frame: Off
    Maximum FPS: Unlimited
    Monitor aspect ratio: Standard 4:3
    Native render resolution: Off
    Render resolution: 90%
    Texture resolution: Extra
    Normal map resolution: Extra
    Specular map resolution: Extra
    Fill remaining memory: On
    Anisotropic Filtering: High
    Shadows: On
    Shadow map resolution: Extra

I applied the local profile for Black Ops. When I launch the game in Airlink from my Quest 2, it simply launches in my monitor. I am not using SteamVr as Oculus runtime should just bypass it.

I have my OpenXr environment set to Oculus and am also using Oculus in Vorpx config.

I was able to launch Metro Last Light without any issues, so it seems like a game specific issue. Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

so I got the Cyberpunk 2077 profile to hook to Vanguard! which is already pretty cool , playing this
game in immersive screen is really fun, however the 3D does not seem to work.. obviously there is the Z3D Normal and Adaptive option but does not seem to work, maybe something in the game Graphic settings is preventing it ? anyone would know?
It definitely has depth buffer as its showing in Reshade.

Secondly the first opening level is almost unplayable due to the flashing and glowing lights / shadows? green red bright colour distortions are really annoying, I could only reduce them to go to Ultra settings but wonder if anyone knows how to reduce these glares with what Graphic settings? Shadows? Reflections?

My (local) list looks the same as the “Supported Games” on this site.

    Battlefield 3
    Battlefield 4
    Battlefield: Hardline
    Battlefield V
    Batman: Arkham Knight
    Bayonetta
    Black Mesa Source
Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons
    Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition
    Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
    Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Borderlands 2 or any other borderlands games do not show. Is this the same for anyone else?

Thank you Ralf for your very detailed technical answer…I see everything correctly objectively as well…

Subjectively, these Z3D errors in the close-up range, especially with the weapon, do not strike me as much…e.g. also with your newly revised Call of Duty WWII profile in Z3D…looks very good from 1.5 m…but the weapon in particular is relatively flat due to the close-up restriction and tears me out of the immersion…

With Reshade Depth3D it looked almost like real G3D with my individual settings… especially the weapon and the body when I looked down to the legs were very real 3D… This shimmering effect in the near area stayed with me for my feeling visible borders…

In any case, it made me prefer to play WWII only with Depth3D….unfortunately without headtracking… Of course, it would be ideal if you could create a way to switch off this Z3D restriction in VorpX…that would be great…!!!

So everyone could decide for themselves how far they can go with Z3D… Vorpx is a really great program…which you have truly made a gem for our 3D VR community over the years…!! Thank you for all the wonderful hours I was allowed to spend with 2D Blockbuster in 3D VR…!! I only wish I had more lifetime for all these amazing fantastic parallel worlds…*smile*

    OK, thanks for the explanation.

I hope you won’t forget about it entirely though. I think dx12 Z3D is the current and foreseeable future we face, and any breakthroughs to expand these tools would be beneficial to our community efforts.

A.K.A. I wish I could get games like FarCry 6 and the recent Call of Dutys working :)

If only they were dx11 … fuuuuu :)

    Additional Info:

The FOV setting will take effect whenever you start moving forward.

    Alternate Profile

Ive uploaded an alternate profile Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a with more depth on weapons but on the cost of 3D on the environment. May look even more realistic.
