    Hello Guys,

dellrifter22 released an awesome improved G3D profile for Call of Duty World at War, where the weapon and the world scale is perfect in G3D.
With the normal older profile, the Weapons didnt had an proper 3D Effect.

In Black Ops 1 you also have this incorrect scales. My question is, is it possible, to make an profile like the improved one from Call of Duty World at War ? For Black Ops 1 and Modern Warfare 2 for example ?
Modern Warfare 2 also had the giant Hands Problem.

    Thanks in Advance :)

Call Of Duty : Modern Ware Fare (2019 edition / Latest)

Let first say.. The Call of Duty franchise sucks big Donke b!@#$ for not naming the latest 2019 release something unique.
So frustrating trying to find something specific and all the older games come up as a result.

Anyway, are there ANY plans in the near future for VorpX to support the latest COD?

If you haven’t yet, please try the cloud profile labeled Call of Duty: World at War (Improved) [dellrifter22]. The original one had black screen menus if G3D was enabled, but the Improved one should fix this. It was working fine as of a month ago, but I haven’t tried it with the latest vorpX. Will test later tonight.

Here are a couple notes I posted about the COD:WAW profile. Note that it plays best with the listed FOV Changer program loaded before you start. Here is a more direct link to the Changer that is easier to find.

If you happen to be running on oculus, it may be worth trying vorpX in SteamVR mode, which also works for oculus headsets.

Also, if the mod you are trying has it’s own exe, make sure it’s added to the profile assignments. The cloud profile only knows to look for CoDWaW.exe.

Please give the Improved profile a try, and let me know if it works.

I learned this week how to improve weapon depth, so both of these profiles have been updated to greater realism with: proper weapon 3D, larger world scale, and grittier colors and lighting. World at War now has working 3D shadows and particle effects.

Ironsights look more convincing and reloading is funner to watch. Give them a try. Profiles are now tuned for Rift FullVR and intended to be used with Image Zoom of 0.83, so check that your previous local save does not overwrite this new value. Setups are the same as listed above.

*RO2 has minor bug with class selection screen with scaled HUD. Use EdgePeek to view menu properly
*Optional hide HUD hotkeys for World at War – add two lines to config.cfg in C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\(name)..

    bind F1 “cg_draw2D 0”
    bind F2 “cg_draw2D 1”

World at War now has a multiplayer profile as well:

Call of Duty: World at War MP (G3D)

G3D FullVR Multiplayer best for Rift
    – set FOV to max 80 in config_mp.cfg found in
    C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\(name):

    seta cg_fov “80”

    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)
    – max graphics with shadows on

*HUD scaling affects sniper scopes, adjust if desired.
*Has some pop-in top and bottom from moderate FOV Enhancement

Grab all these new from the cloud. Enjoy.

Thanks for this RJ, I enjoyed playing this again last week.

I’ve found the console command “bind q cg_fov 105” to be useful since FOV must be set at the start of each mission. Now I just hit Q as needed.

I also made a few adjustments to suit Rift, fixed shadows and set a gritty color scheme. I’ve added the profile that Rift users are welcome to try. Multiplayer is fun too, but needed a separate profile due to FOV restrictions.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare SP

    – bind a key in config.cfg to easy reset FOV 105 at start of each mission. Call of Duty 4\players\profiles\(name)…config.cfg example:
    bind Q “cg_fov 105”
    – a 4:3 resolution is recommended (1920×1440)
    – leave shadows On and all graphics
*Scaling down HUD can misplace sniper scopes and shadows

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare MP

    – run the game once to create config_mp.cfg into:
    Call of Duty 4\players\profiles\(name)
    – edt line to read max FOV of 80:
    seta cg_fov “80”
    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440) to hide culling.
    – turn shadows off, or adjust vorpX HUD sliders to 1.00 to fix offset.
*HUD scale affects sniper scopes, Adjust as desired
*Has some pop-in culling top and bottom from moderate FOV Enhancement

I hope to play the new dx12 Modern Warfare in vorpX one day soon, but for now these are fun to revisit.

I’m starting to fear it may be very possible Cyberpunk will indeed require dx12. If it ever actually comes out that is…

Two big new titles Gears 5 and the New Call of Duty are now requiring dx12. Apparently Microsoft will provide a way to port dx12 to windows 7 (to widen the compatibility margin), but it will be 12 all the same. I fear this may be the trend for AAA games going forward into the new generation.

From what I understand, bringing 12 to vorpX will be no easy task and take considerable time, and there haven’t been enough titles to justify it. It might soon be time to start thinking about it though, and hopefully we’ll have heard about possibilities a year from now.

In the mean time, I guess we start praying that next gen games get delayed while we enjoy the vast library we already have :)

Unfortunately the open beta for the new Modern Warfare this week is PS4 only. So I spent some time revisiting MW2 instead and have configured some new vorpX profiles for it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (G3D)

Another visual spectacle campaign looking good in G3D when you turn the shadows off. I only wish the gun models had better depth, but this is how all the call of duty games are sadly. Still enjoyable.

One minor glitch remains with the heartbeat sensor being off center, which could not be fixed without breaking other world props.

Multiplayer FOV has a maximum of 90 and requires an officially approved Changer by AgentRev, so I’ve made two separate profiles for SP and MP using two different Changers. Fortunately each use their own exe so you can keep both profiles active at once.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 SP

    **Requires CoD-SCZ-FoV-Changer

    – use SCZ FoV Changer to set 105 and launch the game
    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)
    – turn Shadows OFF in game

*Optional hide HUD hotkeys – add two lines to config.cfg in players folder of game directory:

    bind F1 “cg_draw2D 0”
    bind F2 “cg_draw2D 1”

*Fullscreen cinema mode optimized for Pimax8k
    *fullVR/Immersive modes optimized for Rift

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 MP

    **Requires AgentRev MW2 FoV Changer

    – use AgentRev FoV Changer to set 90 and launch the game
    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)
    – turn Shadows OFF in game

    *FullVR mode optimized for Rift
*Fullscreen cinema mode optimized for Pimax8k with pitool small fov. If edge culling too noticable, reduce vorpX FOV Enhancement in delete menu

You can find these now on the vorpX cloud. Enjoy. A couple more COD MP coming soon.

I’ve found a better way to do this, no longer needing console commands. Using an FOV Changer is much easier.

I’ve uploaded an improved profile to the cloud, you can read the new instructions here.

I’m pulling these from the old thread for updated profiles and instructions. They are now better suited for Pimax8k and Rift, with improved shader work. Find them on the vorpX cloud marked as (improved).

Call of Duty: World at War (G3D)

This version no longer requires the tedious console commands per each mission, instead we will use the CoD-SCZ-FoV-Changer downloadable from PCGamingWiki here.

    – Run the FOVChanger.exe and set to Fov to 105
    – use a 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)
    – set Shadows to LOW in game

*Use vorpX Shadow Treatment to hide HUD if desired, then use Z3D key for menus
*Cinema mode best for Pimax8k, fullVR mode best for Rift
*Use Rift in SteamVR mode if crash on startup

    Red Orchestra 2 / Rising Storm (G3D)

Profile is now optimized for Pimax8k and Rift using cinema fullscreen. I found that former ini edits to zero ironsight zoom was breaking weapon accuracy. Instead we will only edit PlayerFOV.

    -use 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)
-set Shadows to LOW in game
-set Lighting and Post Processing to MEDIUM
    -FOV setup: open ROGame.ini from Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config
    Find and edit value:
    PlayerFOV=105.000000

*Set all graphics options in game first before ini edit. Opening the options page after will reset your fov value to default
*Cinema mode best for Pimax8k, Rift may prefer fullVR mode

I would like to add that Bioshock 2 Remastered has been very stable in my latest run, i’ve reached Ryan Amusements (about 1/3rd of the game, or 2-3 hours) with only a single crash when changing a level, but otherwise really stable. I plan to finish it, so maybe it can be added to the list if it’s still this playable.

Avoid vanilla Bioshock 2, that’s a crash fest, and Ralf I think you should remove the message where Vorpx recommends vanilla Bioshock 2 over B2 remastered while playing B2 remastered, remastered version way better now (and looks better which is a bonus).

From my early days with DK2, I remember Singularity and Call of Duty World at War looking really good, I don’t know how well they work now, I’ll give them a try again at some point.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (G3D)

    – Turn OFF shadows
    – Game does not allow .cfg FOV settings but console commands.
    – Enable Console
    – Open console and type cg_fov “110” for a FOV of 110°
    – Full VR with Headtracking
    – Profile available from the cloud

So I tried different things out and none worked. The binding of the fov didnt work and the zooming fix in 1-2-3 game setup works, but the scaling of the world is really off. Still seems very zoomed in.
Sorry to say it, but how can Black ops be on the supported list?? Yes, vorpx hooks, but nothing more seems to work.
Every cutscene is gone and you can´t see the menus.
I think Black Ops needs a little work :)

Are there any other Call Of Duty game that supports DirectVR?
Or any of the Titanfall games that supports DirectVR?

No DirectVR for Black Ops currently, but there is a way to change the FOV: https://www.h3xed.com/pc-gaming/call-of-duty-black-ops-fov-fix

Should be possible to add this to the DirectVR settings optimizer. I’ll look into it for the next version.

General hint: If vorpX can’t handle FOV automatically and the game doesn’t allow to change it officially, it’s always worth a shot to google ‘FOV Game Name’ for a potential mod/hack/tutorial. If that doesn’t yield any useful result for a particular game, check the ‘1-2-3 Game Setup’ in the vorpX help. It describes a workaround using vorpX’s ‘Image Zoom’ option that works for any game.

Call of Duty Ghosts is currently Z3D only IIRC. Z3D usually doesn’t look as natural as “true” Geometry 3D. On the upside it’s a lot faster.

Don’t recall such an issue with the gamepad in Thief 2014, but will look into it after the holidays. For the time being please use mouse and keyboard if the gamepad doesn’t work for you.

I am a new player, the XBOX controller does not work properly <Thief [2014]>, because VORPX maps the left and right joysticks, closing the map will cause the screen to vibrate, what should I do?

Also why is <Call of Duty Ghosts > not VR effect?
