Game FOV and headset FOV have to match. Quote from above, most important part emphasized for clarity.

In Cyberpunk 2077 vorpX (slightly) limits the vertical FOV on purpose to ensure good performance. Please don’t change any of that, vorpX per default automatically matches the game FOV to the headset accordingly. A higher FOV would mean more has to be rendered, means reduced performance. Also apart from the reduced performance trying to override the auto adjustment leads to a warped/zoomed image unless you re-adjust everything manually.

I am also trying to play Cyberpunk 2077 on a Quest 2 and I have the same problem, black window around my field of view that is just a little bit too small. How would one go about changing this (I hope that performance is not an issue, I have a decent gpu, 2080 Ti, and I don’t mind reducing the settings).

I am a little bit confused about the field of view slider in the game settings. There is this mod, but actually I did NOT install the mod and nevertheless the slider goes up to 150 in my game settings. Was this included in a recent update or did vorpX install the mod by itself?

I have one more problem when playing CP 2077 in vorpX: The HUD has some strange “bump-mappy” artifacts. I suspect this is related to the z-Buffer technique, is there some option to avoid this (in vorpX, game settings or nvidia setting)?

Someone already testet the dx12 profiles of Gears of War 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 ?

The profiles of Hitman 1+2 won’t work because they are dx11 profiles.

The PS-VR Version has a First Person Mode, and i hope the Non-VR PC Version has that option, too. The profiles of Hitman 1 + 2 support G3D and Z3D both, but Hitman 3 is dx12 only and doesn’t support G3D. But if the Z3D in First Person Mode is as good as the Z3D in Cyberpunk 2077, than it will be great experience to play Hitman 3 via Vorpx.

I read somewhere that it requires dx12fl11. If that’s the case there are only 4 profiles that may work – Cyberpunk2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Death Stranding. That’s assuming there isn’t something else blocking the hook, like an anti-cheat system.

Quest via Oculus Link should work just fine normally. If you encounter similar hooking issues with multiple game, please check the section about conflicting programs in the pinned trouble shooting guide.

Not sure whether the RE7 demo will work, only the full version has been tested.

I have reviewed all my windows programs and process again and chaged somethings. The result is similar. I have tried all checkboxes posibilities.

RE 7 – default options – closes window
RE 7 – alternative method checkbox. closes
RE 7 – “Try to block know games overlays” checkbox unchecked. As cinema without 3D and without vorpX menu so I cannot change anything.

    NEW:

Cyberpunk 2077 – default options – perfectly working

RE 7 & RE 2 – with some checkboxes on/off it says : Oculus runtime init failed. vorpX will not work correcly. Try to restart the Oculus software or your PC. Switching vorpX o SteamVR mode may help in some cases. Oculus runtime error: LibOVRRT signature check failure. (-3021)

RE 7 – SteamVR mode on VORPX – not working
RE 7 – SteamVR mode on VORPX – disable try to block know game overlays – working, but colors are wrong. I cannot see almost nothing, is very black and dark orange.

The profile does what it says in the changelog (like last time you asked a week ago ;))

For convenience the Cyberpunk related changes from last week’s update again:

    • Improved: Cyberpunk 2077: DirectVR FOV added, .ini tweaks for FullVR comfort. If you played Cyberpunk 2077 before with vorpX, resetting the profile to default in the config app is recommended.
    • Improved: DX12 changes to circumvent Cyberpunk 2077 crashes with Radeon GPUs

I installed and used VorpX for Cyberpunk 2077.
After trying around a little bit, I went to reset the config (by using the VorpX menu) so my Cyberpunk 2077 config would be the same as before using VorpX. But something is not alright. I get a hard fps-lock to 60, even if I increase the fps-lock to 144 or even disabling it completely. Before using VorpX I had around 70-80 fps. Now it’s never going to 61, it sticks exactly at 60 all time.

Can you tell me, which part of the config might not have been reset correctly or where this is coming from?
If I set the ingame fps-cap to 30, this works. But since even disabling things like RTX or quality does not change my fps to go above 60 now, some config must be invalid/corrupted. Vsync is disabled of course.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Disable the GOG overlay

    Delete the cache

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\cache\.

Reset CP77 Profile and do vorpx factory reset in vorpx config tool

Reset all Cyberpunk graphic settings to default and try borderless window

What’s your Headset and GPU ?

Is there a list of files which vorpX edits for Cyberpunk? I reset the settings to “pre-vorpX” using the app, but I can’t shake the feeling that the game now looks and feels… different (worse)… when back in pancake mode, somehow. Is it just my imagination? Or do I have to get rid of some .ini or something to be sure?

I tried vorpX for a bit, and though it was interesting whether in Full or Immersive mode, my “VR legs” aren’t good enough yet to handle motion sickness in Cyberpunk 2077 ):

I hope this turns them into believers. All I ever expected from VorpX back when I bought it on March 2017 is to give my VR headset all of the functions of a really nice 3Dtv for my non VR PC games and it has far exceeded those expectations. I have logged hundreds of hours with VorpX.

Just loaded up cyberpunk 2077 on my RTX 2060 (low-midrange) and was surprised at how well it ran on lounge mode with a black background w/ vorpx using Samsung odyssey. Even with raytracing it was playable for me (although in crowded downtown driving it does struggle a bit). THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH for continuing to support VR with VORPX as you have made so many games that much better to play. I LOVE 3D and since nvidia stopped supporting it, this is the only way to experience my games in 3d but now on a massive virtual screen.
And User 77, I agree RDR2 with vorpx (3D on)…going on horseback into Saint Denis seeing gas lights at night with fog is amazing! I would stop doing the mission and just wander around admiring the atmosphere, I cannot wait for the next gen games to arrive and up the quality of titles even more now that ps5 is out (seems quality follows console capabilities)…and once 3080/3090s get back in stock I think I might have to upgrade my graphics card to improve the experience further.

Once again, thanks for all your hard work Ralf! We appreciate it

yes that’s true, vorpx does a great job. The Z3D is fantastic, and close to G3D. I’m going to finish all sidequests before starting Act 3, because the game is a work of art, but that’s exactly why the technical condition is annoying. But all in all its the best vorpx experience since Red Dead Redemption 2.

Even people who don’t like vorpx in general, praise the vorpx experience in Cyberpunk 2077. It is very close to regular VR Games, that is the reason why they like it.
