hello,
look at this site
http://rjkole.com/gamestuff/engines/
vorpx users can make their own profiles and you can find these profiles in the cloud, many battlefield games work in G3D (according to this site).
g3d is like real VR experience, Z3D is more like nvidia 3D glasses experience (but it’s been a long time since i sold my 3D nvidia screen).
G3D is really impressive but you need a powerful computer to enjoy it, or reduce graphics tremendously and/or lower resolution.
Z3D is still great for third person games.
that being said, i played dishonored 2 in Z3D and i had a blast, still very immersive.
dellrifter22 thank you for sharing your findings :)
i’m pretty sure that guy on the video lied and just did it for clickbait, it would not be the first time i see this.
disgusting behavior.
i bet he doesnt have the game running in G3D at all and not even Z3D.
i also tried all the official metro profiles, the game hooks but yeah no Z3D/G3D, i tried to remove AA from config file, i tried to run the game in windowed mod, i tried to change fov (which breaks the graphics).
the only hope now is getting an official vorpx profile for this game.
meanwhile i will play the game in Z3D thanks to you man :D better than nothing for sure ! after all i’m still having a blast playing dishonored 2 in Z3D :p
Here is a bit of history. Sorry for not remembering all the details, and not having time to dig them up. A few years back, I was enjoying Borderlands 2 with vorpx and SLI, everything worked fine. Then there was a vorpx update, and suddenly SLI started to flicker. Then, a new vorpx version was released, the one where the official profile for Dishonored 2 was first included. And, as I remember, at least a couple of new profiles from that release (Dishonored 2 and another one) worked fine with SLI. I did not have an opportunity to test, but I suspect that all new profiles from that release work with SLI. Dishonored 2 worked fine with SLI then, with a beautiful 3D. Of course, as said above, this all could be for reasons that are not related to vorpx, but it LOOKS LIKE it is an issue of older profiles with new versions of vorpx. I wish I had more time to explore this, maybe somebody can check if all new profiles since that release with Dishonored 2 (I think it was 17.3.0) work with SLI.
Great update,Prey in G3D is gorgeous.
Very nice work here as always.
You have practically covered all the games i want to play with this update.( Batman ,prey , DEus ex,shadow of mordor and mass effect).
The only missing now (for me) is dishonored 2 ;
Again BRAVO RALF!!!
Would love to this game in G3D Ralf.
If you are new to vorpX, you probably want to hop right into the action instead of learning how to configure vorpX. The list below contains first person games that work with litlle to no configuration in ‘Full VR’ due to vorpX’s DirectVR functionality, which can configure important things like field of view, head tracking or resolution automatically.
For third person games that are usually played best in immersive screen or cinema mode not much configuration is required in general, so this list focuses on first person ‘Full VR’ games that can be a little harder to configure without DirectVR.
If you are stuck, make sure to check the ‘Essential Hints Guide’ and the ‘Quick Reference’ in the help. They help you understand a few basic concepts.

Not sure if I’m hallucinating, but since the last update (I think), it seems like the 3D effect of dishonored 2 has been reduced quite a bit. You mentioned you made some changes which may have affected AC:Odyssey (which is still good), perhaps this is the same thing. Seems closer to flat than 3D, although there is still some little bit of 3D-ness. Played with all the settings to no avail.
But its very noticeable in Dishonored 2 now. Liked it much better the previous way.
Unless I’m hallucinating, in which case I liked my hallucinations better before.
@dellrifter22 np, thanks for making me double check. It would definitely be cool. But I noticed in the Engine Crosschecker that Dishonored 2 (which uses the IdTech 5 engine, same as New Order) has a profile. I don’t have Dishonored 2, and I know there are larger issues at play (such as the Open GL version, like you were talking about), do you know if Dishonored 2 is G3D?
can i use this profile (dishonored 2) for RAGE? they have same engine, id tech 5! for z-normal, i presume….
Unfortunately i dont own Rage, so i wont be a big help.
As far i know Rage has an openGL renderer. You may try that together with a quake 4 Profile. For a test you also could try the Dishonored 2 profile.
Just wanted to post here and say that for a lot of games, its able to get Z3D to look almost as good at G3D.
I found the same for GTA5, mankind divided, and dishonored 2 as well.
Good stuff, and much better for the performance of the game too.
EXCUSE ME, BUT DEUX EX MANKIND works now with vorpx?

I’ve been playing a lot of AC:Origins, and with a large FOV and the 3D strength cranked up to 2 or 3, I honestly cannot tell that I’m not playing it in Geometry 3D. For those games that are large, outdoors type games, you really don’t need G3D. G3D is only really effective if you have close quarters indoor type environments where your eyes can see up close objects.

Got another one for you – the game loses the stereo 3D when you use certain powers. (ie. night vision)
It works on monitor and it have change the ingame resolution to 2240×1680 but as soon as i stat vorpx it wont star Access denied (0x5)
Ahhh baloney! It does NOT work out of the box. It’s not even VR 3D, its 2D in cinema mode! My normal FONV works fine both standalone and through ModOrganizer. I’m using 17.3.2. I’ve tried every other profile in the cloud, and those don’t work either (not that there is a lot of them). As the original poster mentioned, the profiles are all binary files, so there is no “tweaking”, you make a change in the game, save it, exit, export it. The help is practicaly non-existant as far as documentation and what each setting might possibly do. The Skyrim game works (ish… lots of black flickering), Deus Ex HR works sort of, can’t adjust the vertical centering, just the horizontal. Dishonored has an inverted picture flickering in the upper left corner of the left eye (taking up 1/4 of the viewing area). Still haven’t been able to even launch Fallout 3 GOTY! It just sits in the task manager after vorpx “attaches” itself to it. I have a HTC Vive with Fallout 4 VR, and it works fine (Alienware system 16 gigs of ram with Radeon RX 580 and latest drivers). In other words, it’s not the system, it’s the software. I expected to have to tweak some settings, but they are not even close for FONV! The DirectVR mode doesn’t work either, in fact it makes things worse (in just about every game). So far I’m not impressed in the slightest.
