Just wondering for those of you who play any MMORPG’s in 3D with Vorpx, don’t you find it really hard to control your character skills efficiently when you can’t see the keyboard? Seems to me like it would wind up being a major hassle unless you had an MMO mouse. I haven’t tried any MMO’s yet but I’m about to check out WOW, luckily I have a Razer Naga Trinity so I can customize the buttons as well as use a totally different programmable button layout for MMO’s, MOBA’s or FPS etc..
So there’s a suggestion as well if any of you struggle with the controls trying to play MMORPG’s through Vorpx or have been hesitant to do so for this reason. Get your self an MMO mouse and you’ll be fixed right up for playing your favorite MMORPG in 3D without having to look at the keyboard. You can feel your way around to the ctrl, alt & shift keys easily enough for your alternate settings and anything else you can map to your mouse buttons or should be accessible by clicking the on screen menu’s instead of using keyboard shortcuts.
I’d recommend the Naga or Naga trinity mainly because the buttons are all set at different angles so you once you get used to the feel of them under your thumb, you have a better sense of what button you’re touching by feel. As far a I know only the Razer Naga and the Logitech G600 have buttons like that.
********************************************************************************** Apologies if this was a double post but I posted once already and though it shows under freshness that I had posted something, I don’t see it showing up in the forum or on my topics started list in my profile so I have made a second attempt at posting. It seems that if I make any attempt to edit after initially posting it does not edit, loads the post reply page but then my post disappears from the forum altogether?? Weird **********************************************************************************It’s true that it has great native support…BUT the dev was unable or unwilling to allow/facilitate the usage of anything but dual analog game controllers.
HOTAS will work if you have the patience of a tree and don’t have high blood pressure. This clown even hard locked out input from the mouse X/Y outside of menus because it ‘couldn’t be done’ in the VR mode (works fine in the standard runtimes). That didn’t sit quite right sooo, figured I’d give him and his ‘if you don’t like it, get a refund’ comments, the ole’ VorpX Reach-around and voila, roomscale, gorgeous HotDS. Possibly the most tangible and immersive VR game to date….if you’re a tree, that is…
Hello,
Vorpx isn’t merging pictures for left and right eye. So when I close one of my eyes I can see everything right, but when they are both open the image overlapping is far from correct. I’m using pimax 5k plus. Please help me resolve this issue. In the very end of the game, I have encountered a pretty bad bug.
When I get to the top of the tower and setup the missile guide system, the dark ones attack me with a mind game ( i don´t know better words for it).
Normally the screen zooms out and I have to walk on some platforms. But it zoomes so much out the screen turns kind of black, it looks weird, and i can´t see anything. I can´t complete the game coz im walking blind and dying of falling of the tower. It has even destroyed my savegame, so if i load my game on my normal screen it does the same weird bug. Please help!
Topic: GOG (not vorpX related)
Hello there,
Have a question about GOG.
I collect games on physical data media only. STEAM doesnt let download something like an installer which i can put on a DVD for example for later use.
GOG seems exactly seems to do that, but i am not shure. So heres my question:
Can i simply download a game (Installer) from GOG and put that on a DVD ?
No additional internet connection or something after an install ?
As far i understand i only need to make a download once and thats it, no running of clients or downloading unwanted stuff in the background. Is that true ?Please tell me your experience with GOG in this concern, thanks !
often I find myself having to use the z-normal instead of the g3d (I have a 1060 gtx): for example in mass effect andromeda, to have a good fluidity, I’m using the z-normal ..
but I have not yet understood the difference between z-normal and z-adaptive: the z-adaptive seems to me identical to the z-normal, except that the view is not perfectly in focus..
what is the difference? maybe i must set something for z-adaptive, to see all clear…
