Homet2012ParticipantIs there a way to stop updates. I had Witcher 3 running exactly how I like and now it keeps dropping frames and the Vive default environment keeps blinking in every 5 seconds. I want to be able to not update until I’m finished with a game because it seems like every time there is an update it breaks something.
nieda113Participanthi, actually i havent been playing the game as intended mostly i relax in exploring the games world because skyrim witcher bioshock infinite and even gta5 look so fantastic in 3d . Game play is to me an option but mostly i enjoy the free modes…
Hahah THX
prinyoParticipantI think I was quick to blame the camera mod. Seems about 80% of the time the rotation is not enabled when running the scan.
I’ll check Immersive cam. Witcher 3 seems quite promising in VR. Not sure how comfortable will feel for a first playthru, but for exploring the map and finding the treasures should be perfect :-)
nieda113Participanthi, i guess u need to adjust ur resolution. iam playing gtx 1080 sli resolution 1920 1460 or somthing similar. I can say witcher on cv1 is really beautifull and with an independent camera mod ist crazy gameplay . I play in first and third person , so somthing in ur setting might be wrong. Check in vorpx menue fov adjustments, options like letter box , pixel size and so on..
( i just remembered having had a similar problem with a different game. its was related to my monitor i use a 4k 3d 65 inch and the settings of my hdmi port where set to optimized that prevented nvidia settings to work properly…)

MintParticipantI am having the exact same problem. Both x and y axis are inverted when Virtual Cinema mode is disabled. I have tried inverting both in vorpx settings and ingame settings. Nothing is seeming to work. Going to try re-installing vorpx. The games i tried are battlefield 4 and the witcher 3. im using oculus rift cv1

dborosevParticipantThanks for the update Ralf. But for the next release can you focus on more games with geometry 3D? Things like Deus Ex Mankind Divided, dishonored 2, dark souls 3, watchdogs 2, witcher3 G3D.
Mankind divided and dishonored 2, being my personal choices. Those would be crazy good.

ghost_master2kParticipantA Lot of cool features here, but is there any way to rollback to a previous version for testing? I’m having some trouble after the update. Not sure if I should post here or in the troubleshooting section.
I pretty much use vorpx for one game (Rocket League in virtual cinema) and it no longer works after this update. Pretty sure it’s due to the vorpx update since the last patch for Rocket League was on 12/20 and I’ve played it with vorpx since then. I have an HTC Vive.
I did try Witcher 3 since I saw it already had a profile, and it did open in virtual cinema mode, so it at least appears to be isolated to Rocket League for now.
Also, couple issues that keep popping up every update which aren’t huge, but kind of annoying:
– My excluded programs list gets reset to default every update, I have to add all my exclusions back every time.
– My custom profiles (Rocket league) keep getting deleted after updates and I have to re-create them.
– The updates create desktop shortcuts every time even if they already exist. I had 3 copies of each of the shortcuts due to the last 2 updates for a total of 9 vorpx related desktop shortcuts.Dec 1, 2016 at 9:30am #123278In reply to: Witcher 3 support?
nieda113ParticipantHi, i can confirm Witcher3 hooks on vorpx with Nexus modmanger..It tooks me time to find out the glitches prior to successfully lauch the game though.
Best is to start witout any mod installed.
1. Disable all dpi scaling
2. COG user need to stop voprx watcher.
3. Start the game by hitting the witcher3 .exe in Nexus modmanger.
4. The cog screen will pop up and a second screen too ,this is the point where you restart your vopx watcher (resume)( If u hit the restart button too early the game wont lauch, if u hit the restart button too late the game will lauch on ur screen not in ur CV1)The game will launch in CV1
I do still have problem with “waitng too long for witcher 3 to start”, if i change tracking options. I solve this problem by just starting a differnt game and then doing the procedure as described above.Dec 1, 2016 at 9:24am #123277In reply to: Witcher 3 support?
egone140Participant@BuckleBean I’m afraid I never managed to get it working, it was a serious disappointment with vorpX as the world of the Witcher 3 is incredible.

BuckleBeanParticipantI’ve the steam copy of the game but I created the shortcut as advised and its still not working. The best I’ve been able to get working is a blank monitor with the sound coming through the rift. The rift screen just displays the text “Sorry, witcher3.exe is taking a while to load. If this issue persists, please take off your headset and check the app on your computer.” The text appears in the white grid room of the rift software.
I’ve got this exact same problem.
Nov 24, 2016 at 8:41am #123108In reply to: Slow performace (graphic and sound glitches)
d_WAR_fParticipantI played native vr projects like “project cars:pagani” demo version. Useing ultra peset 1280*720 with 8xAA – prety good and smooth performace.
When i lauched “evolve” it`s awful. i changed all switchers to low, 640*480 resolution, even turned off 3d mode leaveing just virtual theatre with no inviroment. i still see freezy picture and sound glitches. when i turning head picture jumping even if headtracking off.
When i exit game and return to oculus home screen all start work normal: sound, picture, headtracking.
it`s loock like some software problems. M.b. vorpx works better in win 8 or win 10.
m.b. it coflict with smtg. i read that vr drivers dont like overlays (skype, shadowplay, steam).
m.b i had to install some win updates (i turned off autoupdate)
I saw many videos on youtubeand there were no broblems.
VR set conncetr as it meant – only usb 3.0 native mb ports
nieda113ParticipantFinal : Witcher 3 runs fine,..
nieda113Participantso latest findings and good news Witcher3 is hooking and nexus modmanger is working, too.
I have to do the following procedure.
1.disable all dpi scaling .
2.inside vorpx diplay settings. only async rnederer ist enabled, if enabling fluid sync. the game wont hook
3. Start oculus home
4. start vorpx
4a.pause watcher
5. start witcher 3.exe
5a after you hit start on the games exe you need to resume the vorpx watcher.
game starts
Here is one more thing. If i played a different game and change the display settings in the display menue and than try to play witcher3 the game wont hook anymore.
To fix this i have to start a game that hooks with vorp. Enter the display settings in vorpx and the according values .Save and exit vorpx.
Then if i start witcher 3 it will hook again….
what a drag though!!!
hope tomorrwo the game will run and prove
nieda113Participantstarted the game again and no vorpx hoo. just waiting for witcher3.exe takes too long..
what the hell is that?Yesterday i played the game with vorpx, just shutted the game down and today it wont hook again???
I did not change a thing.!!!!!!
I played skyrim before and mad a change in the vorpx menue related to the asynchronosus timewarp feature. (enable the fluid thing)
Why doe vorpx behave like that?
Wii there be finally a version that works all the time???
i am really PISSED!Nov 14, 2016 at 8:44am #122787In reply to: CV1 headtrack sensor
nieda113Participanthi, i just tried all possible configurations in vorpx related to the head tracking. Yes i did a factory reset in vorpx settings. It started with a stutter of the tracking ( its been the witcher 3 game i have problems with just a coincidence ?were vopry doesnt hook suddenly)
. Then i got a message from oculus home that the sensor was misaligned. I tried to align it with the oculus software but no succsess. Then i rebooted my computer and and did the oculus setup for the sensor again and finally it recognized the sensor again.
Today i will give it another try ,to see if its the game or something else that interfears with oculus …
keep u informed..
