RalphParticipantI bought VorpX and tried this profile, and in general, it works, however, I have some problems:
– The picture seems distorted when I move my head: it’s warping, like looking through a thick glass maybe, the perspective seems not to be correct, especially closer to the edges. This is very disorienting. How can I fix this?
– With the resolution set to 2880×2884 the mouse cursor stops at the top and bottom before reaching the end of the screen, as if there’s a letterbox for it. So some menus etc. are unreachable.
– I also have some wobble in closer objects. This may be motion reprojection artifacts, not sure.
– I tried installing “Starfield Frame Generation” mod but the game crashes. This may be the mod problem or a conflict with VorpX.You have the wrong perspective, and the problem with the mouse cursor stops at letterbox, because the aspect ratio of 1:1, the square resolution, the removed letterboxes, the window mode instead of borderless or fullscreen, the FOV, the HUD and the interface are full coordinated to each other.
You can improve your image quality by installing reshade and use for example smartsharp or fakeHDR. Reshade has tons of shader to modify the game for your needs. With your RTX 4090 and the resolution of 2880×2880 smartsharp is higly recommend.
But in general you will have to tolerate a little flickering there, and some missing texture or shader there, and a little bit distortion when you move head it looks through a thick glass.
You need the initial experience that you will forget all those things when your game is at its biggest moments, and you will sit back and say only “Wow, i will never play any game without VR !”
You brain will remove these little troubles after a longer time using vorpx. You will get like smell blind or like operationally blind for those little bugs.
I promise you after you have finished Starfield and for example Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty and Baldurs Gate 3 with vorpx in VR, then you will agree with me.
Sep 6, 2023 at 1:31pm #217501Topic: Help – multiple entries of game in local profiles
in forum Technical Support
drhouseParticipantI wanted to get Armored Core 6 working with VorpX and tried it with multiple different Local Profiles (was about to try Cyberpunk 2077 next). As usual, I was only ever allowed to add a single file in ‘Add file” for “Assigned Programs”. I would “Remove” the file before trying another profile. Problem persists after restarting the PC and I couldn’t find any filenames matching the Profiles names for deletion.

luka2099ParticipantWith dx12 games , you no need any engine game. Use cyberpunk profile or wait offcial profile

luka2099ParticipantYou must use any dx12 profile. Cyberpunk2077 for exemple.

luka2099ParticipantCan someone report on the details when the official profile is released, please? I don’t have VorpX yet, and the VR is a must, I have zero interest in purchasing Starfield if I can only play it in pancake mode. So the question of whether VorpX works well with Starfield or not is crucial – I either decide to buy both Starfield and VorpX or none.
– Does it work in full stereoscopic 3D?
– Is it a fully immersive VR (without motion controllers of course)?
– Does the movement work well (VR controllers as gamepad for independent movement, head tracking for aiming)?
– Do motion controller gestures work well? I tried the Cyperpunk 2077 mod with gestures and I liked how they work. It’s not as good as full VR controllers of course, but it’s a reasonable compromise. Would they work the same in Starfield? It would be even better to have independent aiming with motion controller instead of head tracking, but I guess it’s out of the question for now.
– Is the image flickery in any way? I read somewhere that VorpX is actually better than the free Cyberpunk mode in that respect, but I’m not sure.
– Is the performance good with Starfield? I have a top of the line system: 7950X3D CPU + 4090 GPU + Reverb G2, but can it be smooth? Does motion projection work, can I lock it at 45FPS with motion projection to get a smooth experience?
– Does the DLSS mod work with VorpX / VR?Any other details would also be appreciated. I’m not buying either VorpX or Starfield until I can be reasonably sure they are going to work.
BTW unrelated question: Can a Joystick/HOTAS be modded into Starfield? I built a motion cockpit for flight sims which I’d love to use with Starfield if I can get my custom joysticks to work with it.
so , all games with dx12 api only work with znormal and zadaptive , which are not stereoscopic 3d like g3d. if you are not a virtual reality sommelier, the zadaptive and znormal are still very good and immersive. you aim with headtracking and you can use the motion controllers as if they were a gamepad. if you use the beta version of vorpx gestures will work too. however I use the regular version of vorpx , the beta I uninstalled out of desperation , too many system conflicts and poor game compatibility. in fullvr mode I suggest you to use aspect ratio : stretch . for starfield you also need to set game world fov and viewmodel fov with cheat engine. I leave you the gameplay video with my profile

It’s in stereo 3D (z3D ok)?
All game that run in dx12 work only znormal and zadaptive!
You must xhange only fov and fov viewmodel

markbradley1982ParticipantYou’ll be happy, because most of the official profiles released for other games in the past will match all your questions. Have patience and wait for support of the Developer of Vorpx, he is called Ralf, he will post the details of his official profile here i that forum. You worry too much, Vorpx is the right thing for you, you will have fun with Vorpx and Starfield !
Yeah a guy who built a motion cockpit definitely is someone would most likely enjoy VorpX.
I’ve played/play Fallout New Vegas, Rocket League, Cyberpunk 2077 (before the dedicated VR mod) and Final Fantasy 7 Remake completely in VR using VorpX. It’s a great tool for hobbyists and stereo-heads.
Unfortunately I haven’t played Starfield yet, and it sounds like my PC is going to need an upgrade for it.

RalphParticipantPerhaps the there is a launch Parameter option for DX11, that would be bombastic! Imagine we will have Starfield in G3D ? With a dx11 option we can try to fix the old profiles of Fallout and Skyrim, until Ralf releases a official vorpx profile. For dx12 only i will try profiles of Resident Evil Village first, followed by Death Stranding, Cyberpunk 2077, and RDR2.

Django9898ParticipantUninstall the standalone mod first.
To do this go to Windows Apps & Features and uninstall voprx Cyberpunk mod.
Start Cyberpunk, set all graphic settings to low and activate DLSS when you have a RTX card.
Then start Vorpx and go to local Profiles and choose the original profile from Ralf first and look how it works for you.
When you Start Cyberpunk press “del” key to enter Voprx Menu and set input from Mouse/KB to GamepadThank you! I uninstalled and reinstalled the game along with the mod just to be sure. Then I used the default VorpX settings for Cyberpunk 2077. It adjusted settings for me and suggested a restart, which I did.
I’m honestly shocked at how smoothly it runs. Amazing job, VorpX team!
One weird thing is that there’s an invisible line running through the middle of the screen, as if there’s a small gap in rendering the scene vertically. Is this a common enough issue for you to know what I’m talking about? Is there a fix?
I really don’t know the problem. Never happens to me.
You could try to solve the problem by changing the 3D reconstruction from z-normal to z-adaptive.Or set in Direct VR Settings” “Preffered Resolution Quality” from “OK-ish”, “Nice”, “Nicer” “Ultra” etc. (requires game restart)

TheBaltParticipantHey everyone,
I dont fully understand the Cyberpunk Vorpx VR w/ Motion Gesture stuff. I was wondering if someone had a video or knew of one that goes through step-by-step of what the Motion gestures are capable of doing, what their limitations are, etc.
Like, as far as I understand, if we “Swing” with a melee weapon, the game will swing, but not exactly follow our course, just follow the predetermined swing animation; which is totally fine with me
I was curious how the aiming works and how far we are able to aim away from just “Directly in front of us, etc”
Any insight or a video detailing and showing these gestures would be awesome.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Be Safe.
