boomerek79ParticipantHi guys
G2 arrived yesterday and after 60h on monitor I can finally move with cyberpunk to vr! :)
3200×2400 resolution works great with dlss on quality (rtx3800) and while I tried turning on raytracing and using dlss ultra-performance settings as others suggested I really don’t think it’s worth it as the image becomes extremely mushy. I like what raytracing does in this game but with those strong dlss settings it feels like I’m on og vive again lolAnyway, I have a question about how to prevent vorpx changing my resolution to 1024×728 every time I start the game as it driving me nuts? ;)

SairaiParticipantI have tested both the Steam and the GoG version for several hours now and am confident to say that there are no crash conditions in conjunction with using vorpX. The only vorpX related crash condition was a conflict on AMD Radeon cards in some nVidia code the game uses, which apparently does something else on AMD GPUs than it does on nVidia GPUs. That has been fixed with yesterday’s update.
The best advice I can give you is resetting the profile to default in the vorpX config app, using the latest GPU drivers, not cranking everything up to max in the game’s graphics options and checking for potential conflicts with interfering background apps on your PC that also hook into games.
Just in case: if you happen to overclock anything in your PC, try with default clock rates.
Hi guys,
I definitely have a VorpX related crash condition since the update to 21.1.1.
My Cyberpunk profile includes the following:
– Cinema Mode, curved with ambient background, no AA
– Custom resolution ingame wqhd 2516 x 1440, ingame settings all maxed out
– No 3D, Crystal clear: normal
– Removed hud scaling from default profile: Set scaling to 1:1
– VorpX may not change any game settings (didn’t work any better with this option enabled and I prefer having full control on my own)My hardware scenario:
– 3 monitors with 1920 x 1200 resolution (thus needed to use custom resolution for wqhd support)
– Valve Index HMD
– RTX 3090 (support for maximum raytracing and dlss on)
– i7 5820k 6x 3,8Ghz HT 12 Threads
– GPU no OC
– CPU stable OC ~8% (for years already)Now when I launch Cyberpunk it seems like I have a 30% chance that the game does not crash after displaying the CD Project Red Logo. I wasn’t able to find the root cause so far. Tried different vorpX settings, different hooking and stuff but to be honest, I just want to play and don’t want to waste my time with troubleshooting atm.
If it does not crash right before start screen, everything runs perfectly fine and I can play for hours without any issues.
The game never crashes when I reset the profile to default. I am able to setup all my preferences in this session and can also play without any issues but of course this is very annoying in front of every gaming session because after closing and restarting the game, the same issue reappears. It most likely has something to do with my custom resolution or the VorpX PoV changes. The whole part with ingame resolution (VorpX resolution settings) was changed with this update and maybe there is some sort of bug with custom resolutions? All I know is that this issue immediately appeared right after updating to 21.1.1 and never appeared before.
The game also never crashes during startup when I am running it without VorpX.
Hope this information can help you identifying the issue.Kind regards,

markbradley1982ParticipantDue to the lack of 3D reconstruction, I decided to reset VorpX to factory settings. This reset VorpX to default settings. So now Cyberpunk starts in VR mode with 3D enabled to correct settings. It looks like this update has the hacked FOV settings, they look great and it’s having me reconsider using VR mode now instead of immersive screen.
One issue. My middle mouse button that is the scroll wheel is physically broken as a mouse button. The scroll wheel works, but the middle mouse button function of the scrollwheel is broken. So I am unable to use edgepeek in the default settings. No problem right? I can just change the in-game bindings right. Well I changed it to Mouse X1 which is my mouse’s left side button. Unfortunately despite changing this keybinding in VorpX and confirming it’s saved, it doesn’t work when I try to enter edge peak mode. I remember having a similar problem like a year ago too. No matter what I do, I can’t remap it to Mouse X1. Would it be possible to look into this Ralf? I am having this issue right after a factory reset too. Otherwise everything is perfect!

RalfKeymasterCyberpunk related 21.1.1 changes for convenience:
- Improved: Cyberpunk 2077: DirectVR FOV added, .ini tweaks for FullVR comfort. If you played Cyberpunk 2077 before with vorpX, resetting the profile to default in the config app is recommended.
- Improved: DX12 changes to circumvent Cyberpunk 2077 crashes with Radeon GPUs
RalfKeymastervorpX 21.1.0 had a bug that could cause similar behavior, but that should be fixed now with the 21.1.1 release from yesterday.
If you still experience this with 21.1.1, try to set the Headset Sync option in the vorpX menu to ‘Safe’, which will cost some FPS, but gives the GPU a bit more leeway. Also FluidSync to ‘On’ is worth a shot, that should be the case for Cyberpunk anyway though.
If none of the above helps, there might be something getting in the way. If you happen to have any GPU/CPU tools installed, try to disable/uninstall them. Such tools tend to also hook into games similar to vorpX, which may cause conflicts. The same is true for some chat apps (Discord, Skype etc.) and generally everything that can show notifications in games.

markbradley1982ParticipantI just got the new VorpX version downloaded to my PC (Version 21.1.1).
Cyberpunk starts with 3D reconstruction turned off by default after the update and I have to set it back to Z-normal and increase the 3D effect to 2.0. Any ideas why this behavior happened? Before this update my settings were tweaked a bit because I changed it from VR mode to Immersive Screen mode but other than that I left it alone.

spaceynycParticipantNew Vorpx user here.
I’ve only tried Cyberpunk 2077 and The Stanley Parable but it seems I have issues with both of these games no matter what quality they are set to, even at the lowest possible graphical settings.
I have an Oculus Rift. (non S version)
specs:
i5-8400
2060 SUPER
24GB RAMThe games launch fine but it seems to frequently alternate from running smooth to completely freezing for about 10 seconds then back to running smooth and repeats. Also it seems to affect the Oculus Home after I close the game where it lags and the devices come up as poor tracking quality only after launching Vorpx and not before.
My native VR games work perfectly fine.

The update seems to fix the crashing on my Radeon.
The new update seems to increase judder in cyberpunk a lot, is there any setting that helps to decrease it? Also the zoom amount only goes to 80 is there a way to increase that.Dec 22, 2020 at 12:04am #199016In reply to: Cyberpunk 2077
DaveParticipant90hz in G2 and 45fps limit in CP77 will work, too !
Fluidsync simply double the fps by upscaling, and will work in 60/120, too. But you need nearly stable 60fps to get stable 120fps with Fluidsync
In Cyberpunk with average 40-45fps, FluidSync at 45/90 is the best choice.
Press ALT + F to benchmark your fps.
(If you can’t get stable 90fps, than reduce the resolution to 2880×2160, that is very sharpen, too !)

vorpX 21.1.1 has been released. This is a maintenance release with the below changes and fixes. If nothing comes up with it that requires immediate attention, that should be it for this year. Happy holidays to everyone!
- Improved: Instead of dismissing them DirectVR now utilizes resolutions it considers too wide for the current situation and shows an according performance hint if nothing better is available, e.g. AMD VSR resolutions weren’t always used before.
- Fixed: Headset Sync ‘Fast’ could cause stutter since vorpX 21.1.0
- Fixed: TrackIR recentering did not work from the vorpX menu.
- Fixed: ALT key was ‘stuck’ after ALT-TAB to/from desktop.
- Fixed: Installing hook helpers could fail under some circumstances
- Fixed: Config app could become ‘invisible’ after disconnecting a second monitor if it was opened on the removed monitor before.
- Fixed: DX11: some special shader definitions weren’t applied correctly anymore.
- Fixed: Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor: scalable HUD didn’t work anymore.

EdgenierParticipantPatch 1.05 solved my crashes. I played some hours in FullVR and the Z3D is incredible, very close to G3D. The NPCs are living, it is not comparable to Assassins Creed in Z3D and Third Person. Wow, thank you very much to Ralf and the vorpx community !
For those who own a RTX 3000 or Big Navi
my recommendations in 40fps Gaming:Graphic settings:
Res. 3200×2400
FOV 135
Medium and High Mixed
Raytracing on + Medium
DLSS Ultra Performancevorpx:
85% Zoom
Sharpen 2.00
Z3D 3.00
Edge Peak 3D 50%
Edge Peak Driving
Fluidsync 40/80Vehicle Handling Mod:
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/209I’ve arrived at similar settings but must have DLSS set to Quality which costs me 45fps and goes to about 42fps. Being able to set fluidsync to 40/80 would solve all my problems, didn’t know you could do that! How do you set it to 40/80?

RalfKeymasterCurrently there is not much time to look into much more than Cyberpunk, sorry. I’ll take a look at the game after the holidays. There never have been any unusual performance issues with the profile though, and since there hasn’t been any update to the game for quite a while, it’s unlikely that there is some new issue suddenly. Your calculation above doesn’t factor in that vorpX raises the game FOV to match the FOV of your hedset, which usually has a pretty huge impact on performance since a lot more has to be rendered with a higher FOV.
If you didn’t try that already, I would suggest to first reset both the vorpX profile and all game settings to default. From there your main options in regard to optimizing performance are: game resolution, game detail settings, switching from G3D to Z3D. Find a combination of these factors that works with at least half your headset refresh rate or more on your PC.
As far as the forum in general is concerned: I answer as much as I can here, seven days per week, but in general forums – this included – are mainly tools for user to user communication.
Dec 20, 2020 at 12:47pm #198941In reply to: Cyberpunk 2077: Vorpx is the only way to go.
markbradley1982ParticipantI’m playing Cyberpunk 2077 exclusively on my Vive using VorpX instead of on my 70 inch 4k tv hooked up to my PC. The 3D effect and extra immersion is that good.
