I’ve recently purchased Vorpx and had to do a Windows installation refresh. I don’t have a back-up of the software and the initial download link does not work.
Could you please guide me trough the process of recovering and reinstalling Vorpx on my PC?
I’ve e-mailed support |at| vorpx com and used the Contact form on the website but I got no answer. Can someone from vorpx please clear this up?

Hey Guys,
I purchased vorpX awhile ago, and it ran very smoothly. I own the DK1, and like to use third party games on it. Everything was running great using the driver, until I stopped playing for about a month or so. When I tried to resume, I was receiving errors from vorpX, saying I needed to reinstall the program. After grabbing another download link, I tried to install the driver with the Oculus runtime already installed. Once I did, It never worked again. When I open vorpX, it says that it can not find the configured device, even after setting it to DK1. When opening the runtime, It says no HMD or Tracker found.

This problem only appears once I install vorpX. If I install the runtime normally, it connects and works like normal. It only appears once vorpX is installed.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and Oculus runtime numerous times, Only installing vorpX when the Runtime was not installed, restarting my computer, and using system restore. None of these methods work.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong, I would like this fixed asap.

System Specs:
Windows 7 Home premium
Nvidia 860M
8gb Ram
Intel core i7
Oculus Rift dk1

@ gustavor38 : Maybe you shouldn’t take everything for granted that someone writes, especially not the original post above. Noone waits weeks for a download link. Also the main dev (me) is on the forum almost every day. I’d say you have a hard time finding product forums with more active devs. Besides that I really don’t know what to say to your post. For your own sake I assume you are trying to be funny.

I bought yesterday VorpX but I’ve not received ANY email for confirmation or anything else with my product code or download link!
I’ve already checked my spam emails and wrote to the customer support.
Is this service fake or it is real?

I’m sorry but I’ve purchased this software quite a while ago, i used it a couple of times to no avail. Gave up. Tries to start it this morning and it says files missing. Turns out WIndows defender deleted your files and now I can’t even redownload it because you guys can’t post a regular download link/Download REQUEST link ANYWHERE. How am i supposed to download my purchased software now? The previous link expired. No customer support phone number, No live chat. Just shitty email support which takes 2-3 weeks to get a reply. Is this company being run by an 18 year old that just learned how to code? Get more customer service reps so you can reply to emails faster than 2-3 weeks. And if there are any moderators going through these forums at least once a month COuld you please send me a new download link because this is starting to fucking piss me off.

Download links were sent to you each time you requested them.

The last four mails sent to you are dated March, 16., April, 7., April, 12. and April, 16. All sent to your satx.rr.com mail address, which is the one we have registered for your purchase, within a few hours after you requested the download.

Please check your spam folder, the mails may have gone there for some reason.

Hey guys. First of all, I have been contacting VorpX for MONTHS to get my download link for VorpX and HAVE NOT HAD 1 REPLY SINCE FUCKING DECEMBER. I basically got a new gaming rig set up for VR because my last harddrive failed and like I said, need the download link again but whoever’s been handling the support emails won’t get back with me, a paid customer, so I thought I’d take it here before I take legal action.

and the response that I got was the exact same code, name and key I sent them and a screenshot of how to fill in the Regdialog that I cant fill out because I haven’t been able to download IT. I have my code key and name I just need a download link

I have recently formatted my PC and i need to download vorpX again i have contacted support but they made no sense and did not give me any sort of link to download it. i have my key, name and request code but i have no where to fill the information in. please help.

Not much I can recommend besides reinstalling the Oculus runtime, vorpX and the Visual C++ runtime (linked below). Apparently the 64bit part of vorpX crashes for some reason on your machine.

Please uninstall vorpX and the Oculus runtime and reboot your PC before reinstalling both.

If nothing helps, a clean Windows install may help. I don’t know whether that is an option for you though.

This update nuked my app. Soon as it updated I get “Vorpx does not seem to be properly installed.”

My purchase link no longer works to redownload.

Download links are displayed on the last page of the order process. You should also have received an automated mail from MyCommerce (our payment service) shortly afterwards containing the link.
