    Hi everyone. I wanted to try Cyberpunk in Vr so I downloaded the Standalone. I’m using the Quest 2 with Link (cable). And I open the game with GOG Galaxy. When I open the game, I’m seeing the game icon loading in VR but just doesn’t start. Then also I get the message on my PC that Cyberpunk has flatlined. Now I see that the Cyberpunk.exe file is in the bin-map. So I tried to reinstall the standalone in the bin, but it doesn’t find Cyberpunk, it only finds the RedLauncher in the Cyberpunk directory. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

    hey

    tried this game again to see if new vorpx versions helped or if a new profile is available

    still not getting it to work quite right

    the fov changer tool is no longer hosted to download anywhere i can find, the old links are gone now, do you still know anywhere to get it?

    i have my cfg set to use a high resolution and i write protected the cfg file, but when i launch the game in vorpx it always just uses my desktop resolution, even if i have vorpx virtual monitor on and manually add the resolution. still cant get vorpx desktop view to work at all.

    does the fov tool fix that problem or is that something else going wrong?

    also if i dont write protect my cfg then when i launch in vorpx like 9/10ths of the game geometry is blacked out

    so i understand how you use headtracking support, do you mean that headtracking looks around independently of your weapon aim, so like you can shoot one direction and look another? what i get is a 1:1 screen locked to my HMD panel and it just follows the direction i turn, so the only thing that changes where im looking is if i move my mouse to aim. is that how it’s supposed to work?

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Download and install the Meta Quest (Oculus) PC-App from the link below.
    2. Make sure Oculus is selected in the vorpX config app as your headset type.
    3. If you want to use the wired Link, connect the Quest via USB
    4. Launch the Meta Quest Link PC App.
    5. Launch Quest Link (wired) or AirLink (Wi-Fi) in your Quest.

    Afterwards your Quest is connected to the Meta Quest Link app and vorpX can send images to it via the Meta Quest PC runtime.

    Caveat: AirLink requires a fast Wifi 5/6 connection with low latency. If you are unsure about that, better use wired Link via USB.

    • HUD shaders fixed for CP2077 2.2.
    • vorpX backend updated to latest version. Among general stability and performance improvenments this also finally fixes the ocassionally unavailable motion controller gestures after launching the game.

    I’m currently having an issue with F1 2020 where the original (dx11) .exe file results in a game crash as soon as a 3d rendered image appears on screen – either in one of the main menus or when entering a driving session. This happens even without using vorpx. It seems like this is related to the latest driver (I’m using an nvidia rtx 3070) and it may or may not be resolved in a future update. On the other hand, F1 2020 is totally playable for me when using the dx12 .exe file.

    F1 2021 runs well for me with vorpx despite being a dx12 title. Therefore, I was thinking I could try using a custom dx12 profile for F1 2020 based on the official F1 2021 vorpx profile, which runs with dx12.

    My problem is that the F1 2020 dx12 .exe file is linked to the official F1 2020 vorpx profile. This profile doesn’t actually use the dx12 .exe file – it forces the game to run in dx11. Basically the dx12 .exe file link to the official F1 2020 vorpx profile is redundant as it will never use that file except to redirect to a different file. This means it’s impossible to do anything with the F1 2020 in dx12 using vorpx.

    I have tried deleting the non-dx12 .exe file from steam and running the dx12 file, which works without vorpx, but when running vorpx it triggers steam to download the original .exe file. When attempting this while disconnected from the internet the game simply doesn’t launch. I’ve also tried switching the names of the files without success.

    Based on this situation, I was wondering if it would be possible to either remove the F1 2020 dx12 .exe file from the official F1 2020 vorpx profile, or creating a separate profile without any redirect, to allow an attempt to use it with vorpx. Switching between the different F1 2020 .exe files on steam is very straightforward and simple enough that anyone who can get vorpx working on their machine should be able to do so. I’m not requesting the removal of the F1 2020 profile – having read through a number of forum posts I totally understand and agree with the reasons for official profiles being fixed and protected. However as it stands, the dx12 .exe file being linked to an official profile means it can’t be used.

    One thing I don’t actually understand is how F1 2021 is able to run with vorpx – and I’m wondering if there is some reason that my plan to make a custom F1 2020 dx12 profile based on the F1 2021 would not actually work – if anyone knows more I’d like to learn.

    What I’m working with:

    QUEST 3, i9, 32gRam, 4070 RTX
    – COPY of Updated Vorpx CYBERPUNK Standalone mod dated SEPT 2024
    – Copy of CYBERPUNK 2077 2.13 + Phantom Liberty

    Everyone remembers what happened the dreadful week of the the infamous 2.13 update drop.
    Many solutions were sought. Many things wouldn’t work no matter how closely defined my actions were to the instructions concerning CET and the like.

    I was ecstatic that Ralf powered by Vorpx, or rather Vorpx powered by Ralf – was quick to update the stand alone mod and link. In my neck of the woods internet is non existent so after installing and and reinstalling with fixes in different combinations and orders it took forever each time I got exhausted – you have no idea how slow of a connection lol
    I looked forward to downloading CP2077 what I thought would be the final time and began to install the new updated standalone {all smiles}.

    Unfortunately I was stuck in the game waiting room , with the same message of “my version of cyberpunk being newer” ..etc etc. Realizing it could be a false message (see above if it linked properly) I sought to continue : However I noticed that I wasn’t able to use either the keyboard or Quest 3 controllers to continue. I was able to use the grips to use the vorpx configuration menu ( open and close the menu) – that was it. I changed a few settings in vorpx menu – gamepad back to keyboard etc – Mouse was only working in vorpx menu. upon closing the menu AND after the opening intro movie I would get a message saying {!} CONTROLLER DISCONNECTED Please Reconnect controller.No controller buttons or keyboard would work (other image if posted correctly)- I Never post to Forums, as most threads seem a spiral into condescension to the poster -Among other things Im embarrassed I cant figure this out – and reading comments on videos expressing that it worked first try no fuss no muss – Im pulling out what 3 hairs I have left on my head. Ive tried everything – I, in my heart think its got to be something I’ve overlooked, or accidental setting change.
    **Headset selection on The –CyberpunkVR config link — oculus headsets , rift , Quest via Oculus link is selected** (I’ve always used questlink for this game with unfailing great results)

    If anyone can Help, I would owe you my soul.

    I just tried to start VorpX & suffered the same problem so looks like i was wrong, downloading & repairing using the link you provided did not fix my problem, i think there was a recent oculus/meta driver update, maybe that has something to do with it.

    It happened out of the blue, i restarted my computer a few times then tried to start VorpX but screen would just go black, in my headset (rift S) i could see the oculus menu but i could not get to my desktop to do anything, trying to view the desktop in the headset only showed a black screen with some orange symbol in the centre so all i could do was restart the computer.

    Since i downloaded & repaired from the link you provided above i have not had the problem again.

    @Ralf thank you so much for those links

    I downloaded “Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Version” for both x86 and x64, installed them both and chose “repair”.

    Then did a reboot, reinstalled VorpX 21.3.5.0 and now VorpX configuration opens again.
    Everything seems to working fine again <3

    Then for whatever reason either the VC download failed or your Windows registry is broken so that the installer couldn’t determine whether it needs to download the VC runtime or not.

    I’m totally confused. Pico forced the installation of the new “Pico Connect” in Pico4 HMD, which replaces the old and well-functioning “Pico Streaming Assistant”. It is not possible to install both applications at once in the HMD and that is a problem. Sadge(

    What should the user do to make VorpX automatically run with the new version of “Pico Connect”, to make games the vertical and horizontal curvature of the screen work, and to aim using the player’s arms and not just the thumb-stick triggers like is in other low quality barrel-aged apps?

    Please don’t use VD. Download the Quest/Oculus PC app if you haven’t already and then use Quest Link with Oculus mode selected in the mod config tool. No SteamVR required, no VD required.

    My dumb error – reading is fundamental, it was mentioned several times but just didnt click

    Going to try tonight skipping steam vr running ! Im sure this will fix fov issue

    Hello

    Did some fixes of extreme color banding bug of Dragon’s Dogma with VorpX which happens for some VR helmets cause of their technical issue (Elite Dangerous, IL-2 gamers do know what i mean). Like mine Oculus Rift CV1 makes the game awful in the nights or any dark places, night sky too. But this fix is a part of my graphics modification of the game, so performance is worse due to effects applied (but you can disable any of them or download visual presets made for this game by other users). Don’t forget to configure VorpX properly for the game, it do not work well with geometry stereo mode (invalid shadows). I tested all features of my mod and everything seems work right with VorpX, so i decided to come here to share this information, game is cool and worth attention of VR gamers.

    Don’t know if links allowed here, so google “ENBSeries 0.476 for Dragon’s Dogma” to get that graphics mod from my site. In the enblocal.ini file from there add parameter to [FIX] category named ApplyDarknessDitheringVR=true or start the game and it will be created itself and in internal editor can toggle it real time. This one removes banding, but primary fix is hardcoded and always on.

    Btw, if developer(s) of the VorpX read this, you may add in future versions detection of ENBVorpX var which i exported just in case to check if it’s fully compatible and not need to notify users about unknown d3d9.dll in the game folder.
