The increased range for immersive is much appreciated, and looking good in the P8k.

Early testing in Metro Ex G3D is indeed performance heavy (~30 interior, ~20 exterior, settings to LOW at 1440p, 2080ti) but it’s looking great geometry-wise. Fortunately I’m somewhat accustomed to lower frame rates, though it’s a bit ironic as I just upgraded my graphics card last month for “better” performance 😆.

I quite like how it looks in cinema mode at full zoom. Feels pretty good. Thanks for the profile.

Question from an earlier topic: is the exe conflict override yet operational? How does it work?

“Incidentally I’m right now trying a few things to make your life easier in regard to .exe conflicts with official profiles. The plan is to allow overrides by user profiles and just show a message on game start in that case. Would enable you to freely override any official profile…”

I tried just now to make a new profile for an official game, but still get blocked by the “exe already assigned” prompt and can’t remove.

well i think my 5820k is starting to age for VR even if it’s o/c’d to 4.4, i’ll upgrade with 3700x as soon as it gets released with shiny new high frequency DDR4 memory, should help with performance :)

but i agree Ralf, i’ll just stick with Z3D which looks already great in this game plus that allows us to play with higher settings ^^

G3D metro exodus looks amazing though for those who have a pc who can handle it at decent performance.

once again great update Ralf :)

full Vr mode is still the best for immersion, but the new range for immersive/cinematic is amazing, thanks for listening to your community !!!

Enable expert settings and then use the main eye option for aiming down the sights with G3D.

Re other glitches: please get the Metro Exodus profile from the cloud (again). I reverted it to its original state for now, the quick G3D performance fix that I uploaded earlier apparently caused a bunch of other issues.

G3D on Metro Exodus seems unplayable. Not sure if its just me. Shadows are really pooched, and aiming down the rifle scope is way off. The crosshair is outside of the scope. Tried restarting and playing with the settings.
Luckily, Z3D still works just fine.

closer immersive mode/cinema mode is really amazing, now it’s like i’m playing full Vr mode but with ability to still see the hud somehow without scaling it at all 😀

but yeah, i need a new comp to run metro exodus in G3D, my 5820k 4.4 with gtx 1080 gtx is not enough even on medium 1920*1080 res.

I get a huge performance increase turning off headtracking
I’m also running a 1080ti/8700k both OC’d to the max

Darn, I was afraid the rumors were true about no dx11.

And here I thought we’d catch a break when Rage 2 moved to Avalanche’s engine. Sorry matteo.

Well, chalk this one to the list then. With the Rages and the Wolfensteins and the Dooms stacking up, an updated 3D OpenGL would start looking pretty good on vorpX’s belt 😁 … One day.

Time to play Metro Exodus again I guess. Looking forward to the profile.

Could check Dragon Age Inquisition (Origin Version) to get the 3D geometry and Normal Z as one of the profiles of the new update?
It is one of the few games in my medieval fantasy collection to secure 3D with Vorpx.

PD: Thanks for the notice official profile for Metro Exodus.

Wow that’s amazing, I wasn’t expecting this!!! I always holded on playing Metro games, now I can do a full trilogy play in VR,

    – Borderlands GOTY Enhanced: G3D/Z3D, FullVR, DirectVR: tracking, FOV, resolution, tweaks

    Huge thanks for this one.

Really feature packed update, thanks a lot Ralf.

After the latest update to the game, vorpX will no longer hook.
It says Attaching, but it never gets hooked, it seems.

Today I’m getting flickering artifacts in Rocket League. It suddenly started, and it does appear that Rocket League got a subtle graphics update that may be causing it.

In the outer space ring arena the ball is half black and at a weird unnatural feeling depth that causes eye discomfort. The metro night arena has flickering buildings.

The resolution I am using is 1920×1080. Bloom and motion blur are both on and I feel they actually look good in VR. I also had adjusted the sharpness and color saturation but I don’t have the sharpness setting in front of me and I am not sure where I can pull these settings from while outside of VR. I also need to add that the above settings have been working perfectly for months including the sharpness, color saturation, and aggressive crystal image settings.

I didn’t notice any problem with colors in my playthrough, though I did turn up the saturation a fair ways in vorpX to make the lights more vibrant. You can adjust gamma and color saturation with the Delete Key menu on the Image Settings page.

Some people have been using the new Nvidia freestyle color filters in Geforce Experience to do basically the same thing, but I’ve not tried it and am uncertain if it conflicts with vorpX in any way (doubtful). Read about it at GameRevolution.com.

I read brief accounts of problems using HDR with DLSS but you shouldn’t be using HDR with an hmd anyway.

Does anyone know if the developer studio A4 Games for Metro Exodus has corrected the problem of colors washed in some update after the launch?
