As always, no promises. But I will certainly take a look at it. For unknown reasons rFactor 2 completely slipped my mind before.
Hi Ralf !
I’m also a sim racer. In our rFactor and rFactor2 Forum (ISI) are many DK1 and DK2 owners and it seems that a tridef DK2 version is not in sight.
Also a native support from the game engine is ATM far away due other dev priorities.
A full functional demo is here available:
http://rfactor.net/web/getfile/demo-installer/
As in the post above mentioned one guy of the community vittorio has a DK2 ready head tracking plugin. Here ist the link:

It would be fantastic if you can take a closer look if it’s possible to support rF2 in the new vorpx version. I’m pretty sure you can sell a lot of licences too.
As a proof of my confidence in you and vorpx I buy now a license regardless that I have ATM no game that is supported :)
greets alex
When I try to start rFactor 2 with VorpX active it gives me this error message:
“The procedure entry point D3DPERF_SetRegion could not be located in the dynamic link library”
I would love to be able to use rFactor 2 with VorpX in geometry mode 3d.
Currently people with the DK2 are running it using a headtracking plugin made by vittorio and using Tridef to provide the image to the rift, but Tridef has not been updated for the DK2 – the distortion is slightly wrong and chromatic aberration is present.
This forum makes me sad. I feel so bad for Ralf.
No explain me plz what is rong with my question ? I just ask if there is a diffrent between dx9-dx11 in the supportet Gamelist of vorpx like rfactor 2 because i only bought dk 2 for this game. So its natrual that i seeking for infos to maybe understand what the timetable would be. And i thought a forum is there to ask question… But ur comment is useless
I’ll be happy if it’s out before the weekend so I can try RaceRoom Racing Experience and rFactor 2 :)
museumsteve: I got your point, and you are also right. But I’m not asking much, isn’t it??? And yeah, RFactor 2 would be nice!
Of course I’m with you all the way :) I’m just very mellow in my old age ;)

museumsteve: That’s fine, we know that. But when someone comes and tells you that he is developing a commercial software which would fill a big gap for Oculus users, than the person seemingly evoraporates into thin air, people get pissed off. It would take no more than one minute (!) for Ralf to make a short announcement every week where the development is heading. And unless he is trapped on the top of the Mount Everest without electricity and internet, I don’t see why he is unable to give us SOMETHING. Is this a huge request??? From future customers??? Damn…
I agree it’s frustrating but at the same time there’s something like maybe 10,000 rift’s out there now? and yet there’s not streams of people complaining about the delay.
It’s interesting because I’ve just read a statement (this morning) by someone at Kunos Studios who are making Assetto Corsa racing sim. They constantly update their fans/future customers with developments and new features, licences etc..and yet they get abused and told they’re just teasing all the time. It seems whichever way you go it’s deemed wrong by someone.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been looking forward to vorpX since day one, as each week goes by more official support is getting announced and with War Thunder already done, iRacing support next week, pCARS very soon (option is in this weeks build) I’ll only have to wait for rFactor2 and I wont need vorpX myself..
I just decided to go elsewhere and enjoy the many other demos and apps while waiting for full gaming in VR :)
Besides the ones mentioned in the original post there are for example Mass Effect 2+3, Flight Simulator X, Race Driver Grid (no headtracking for now), Far Cry, Half-Life 2, Metro 2033, rFactor, …
A detailed list with all games that have full 3D-support will be made available before launch. There is something for everyone, or at least I hope so, a good mix of older and newer games from many genres.
And even if your favorite game isn’t among the ~50 with full 3D-support, there is a high chance that it will run without stereoscopic 3D, but everything else.
If you have any wishes, please post them here. I’m always open to suggestions, just don’t be disappointed if your wish isn’t included in the first release. The day only has so many hours. :)
