    I am randomly getting in eventvwr

    Failed to present.

    the game is rFactor 2. What happens in game is that video gets stuck for ~5 secs, and then resumes, and by that time I find myself without a wheel. It seems that nvidia driver crashes:
    Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

    Is reported at the same time.
    I do not know if this is vorpx issue, but after recent updates it started to happen much more often than before. In past, I would get this, but I thought this had to do with my overclock. Now, I am in stock clocks for my GPU, so this not due to overclocking.

    Oculus app version: 1.10.0.308075
    Nvidia driver: 375.95
    vorpx latest, not sure how to check version.

    Hi All,
    A few people have mentioned that the head tracking feels like it snapping to a grid. That’s exactly the issue I am having. I am using oculus CV1 and with the rfactor 1,2 graphic engines. The slightest of head movement easily confirms that the image has the appearance of snapping to a grid. This is not a FPS issue. It really seems like a low mouse DPI problem.

    My Question:

    VORPX uses mouse emulation and my mouse is a standard mouse/standard driver and has no DPI adjustments. If I was to buy a hi-resolution gaming mouse with adjustable DPI settings would VORPX use these settings/driver?

    Hi – Firstly, really happy with vorpx – my experience exceeds what I expected, so keep up the great job!

    I’ve got couple of questions/requests:

    * Tracking losing center. I have to ‘zero free look’ periodically, any hints how to fix this? Nothing I tried helps so far.

    * In rF2, headtracking feels stepped/low resolution, like it is hitting some grid. I don’t think it is game settings, and mouse tracking is smooth. Any hints on how to improve smoothness of tracking? I hope vorpx devs can revisit the game to see if tracking can be smoothed a bit.

    * Would be nice if zoom above 1.0 would be allowed – otherwise, I can see bottom border.

    I know that this is not the most popular game out there, and things will be looked at in priority order, but wanted to bring this to devs’ attention. Thanks!

    Hi,
    I purchased vorpx to play rFactor 2 in CV1 and it works nicely! Thank you!

    I’ve two questions:
    * Is it possible to somehow switch Aspect Ratio Correction using the key? I did not find shortcut for that operation. The reason I need it: menu is difficult to use unless I set to Letterbox 2. However, view in car cockpit is best at 1:1 setting (no edges of letterbox). Problem is, obviously, I have to hit delete, move mouse, change setting. Would be nice if there’s a way to use key to alternate this setting. I tried changing distance to HUD, did not help.

    * Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn’t figure out how to mirror game output to desktop. There are some settings I didn’t try, but they have warnings that performance might drop. I also tried launching Desktop Viewer, with no luck. Can someone clarify how to do this, and if there is indeed performance drop? Basically, if I could mirror to desktop, I could remove headset, use menu, and then use headset while racing.

    Do you have this Problem in every Game? I don’t. But in Alien Isolation and rfactor2.

    Automobilista / GSC AND GSC Extreme uses same game engine as rFactor / I use that profile.

    I’m trying to get rf2 working and I can fire it up but the geomitri mod does’nt work to good for me, could you please share your settings in both opentrack and Vorpx,

    It would mean the world to me !! Best possible racing sim out there :)

    When hitting ” U ” freelook, then the view/mouse tracker goes nutts.. sweerlng out off the car in crazy directions ???!! What have I done wrong in Opentrack ?

    Also how did you get r3e and automobilesta to work ? both off mine just throes me out.

    rFactor 2 has to be run windowed. Running it fullscreen does not work for some reason.

    Anyone get this game to work? There are several profiles for rFactor available, including one for Automobilista. I couldn’t find anything for GTR2 though.

    The Power & Glory mod would be pretty epic in VR…

    I answer as much as I can, but as any forum in theory this also is primarily meant for user to user to interaction. There are questions that I cannot answer, but users who regularly play a game may.

    I will look into rFactor 2 again. If you have trouble with the Geometry 3D mode, please switch to Z-Buffer 3D as an alternative. This can be done by changing the “3D Reconstruction” setting on the main page of the vorpX ingame menu.

    Hey Usvart!

    Exact same problem here, as reported already https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/ok-so-how-does-it-work/

    The stereo is there and the headtracking “works” with free(mouse)look activated… but it kind of warps for me, it’s not FPS ou mouse settings issue, i’ve tried many combos, nothing made any diference. Also, head central position keeps getting lost if i move it a bit faster.. all headtracking thingy is quite disapointing i’m sorry to say. And i have the same stereo problem: closeby objects are OK, but 10meters front i have doubled view (and i think left and right views are swaped). Thing is, the in-game menu does not have a full convergeance option. I mean, u can adjust separation, but it affects all virtual world and it shouldn’t. There must be the option to adjust both near AND far objects. I had that option many years back with the edimensional stereo glasses, so i know something about stereo 3D, and i have yet to make it work with vorpx :(

    It works absolutly flawless (and in an awesome way) with native oculus support for pcars and elite:dangerous. It’s breathtaking experience! But unfortunately rFactor 1 or 2 isn’t working, and they’re the only reason i bought vorpx…

    There has been an overload of changes from VR developers, a LOT is being tested/trashed and i feel VR ‘community’ is growing too fast for the available support, both from Oculus or Vorpx..

    Wish you best of luck, but for now i quit.. i’ll get back to vorpx when it REALLY works out of the box.

    -in my case, i had to put the game in “windowed” mode. Otherwise it didn’t start with vorpX. This could be an important hint, because i tried a lot resolutions, because i thought this could be the problem.

    -in “z-normal” the head tracking did not work

    -in “3d geometry” it works, but it works wrong. I can’t turn my head left/right, just up/down front/back. But for a raceing game I need of course left/right.

    -but the most problem is, that in “3d geometry” i see everything twice :-( and i couldn’t solve it with addjusting with Seperation/3D-Strength. In theater-mode it was great. 3d worked and i saw nothing doubled.

    -positive to mention: the performance is great! I run it in 1920×1080 AA Lvl 8 and it runs great (i5 4590; r9 390OC)

    But unfortunately its unplayable when headtracking doesn’t work and i see everything twice.
    Any ideas, how to fix this?

    edit: and for the left eye the speed indicator is white (correct) and for the left eye it’s black. Similar issue I had at Alien Isolation

    When I try to start the game it crashes immediately with vorpX. Has anyone the same issue or is able to run rf2?
