Hey guys,
So i saw the thread about the first person mass effect Andromeda mod and decided it would be fun to try – but the vorpx profile is breaking the sound not just in the game, but my entire computer. Ive launched the game multiple times without Vorpx – no sound problems… I hook vorpx in and the audio is crackling and even after i CLOSE vorpx and ME Andromeda my audio is still crackling.
Ive already done a full uninstall/reinstall of all my audio drivers to try to fix this so theyre as fresh as they can be… but yeah, its weird – it starts when i launch vorpx + Andromeda… but even after closing both, the crackling audio keeps going in apps like spotify or on youtube.
does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this? Thanks for any help
and just fyi – the modder put up his new FPS mod on nexus earlier, so its back up and ready to play
Edit: I actually just tried closing vorpx from the tab bar and then the audio problems went away.. so killing vorpx entirely after launching ME:A fixes the audio for the overall pc. i was mistaken.. but i still need a way to make it work in game.
Hey everyone,
So ive been playing Kingdom Come on Vorpx for last few days and me and a bud were talking about getting a game that we can play together – and we are original Kotor 1 and 2 fans.
Anyhow, considering id heard the game is actually quite good these days, and its free, we decided to try the MMO Star Wars : the Old Republic
Anyhow… Vorpx let me hook the game up to it ONCE, I used the uploaded profile that was authored by Vorpx staff for Elder Scrolls Online (vorpx) and then attached the executable for Star Wars Old Republic, went thru patch process and boom – it worked, had Old Republic running really nicely in Rift… Able to control head movement and everything, game looked sharp and ran smooth… then, well, obviously i signed off eventually and now it wont hook to Vorpx again.
So it just stopped hooking up to the game anymore.. No clue why. If anyone wants to give this a shot and figures it out, please let us all know! lol
By the way I pulled the Elder Scroll Online profile because from my research it looks like the Old Republic and Elder Scrolls Online both were made with an engine called HeroEngine… and again, it totally worked – once. lol
I dont know if maybe some settings hidden deep in AppData or something got ‘loaded’ from that initial boot up and are now stopping Vorpx from hooking or something, i just dont know what went wrong. I did a full fresh uninstall of the game and reinstalled, but that wouldnt get rid of those random AppData and files hidden in Windows if there was something that is stopping the game from hooking.
Anyhow – Just wanted to make it clear, cause i did some research on this and everyone said it was impossible to get Old Republic to work – they were wrong, it does… but i just cant get it to work again.
I imagine alot of you are alot smarter then me, so, thats the situation, if anyone was willing to take a crack at solving this little riddle thatd be fantastic :P lol
Heres the site that claimed they were both made with HeroEngine, which is what made me decide to try the Elder Scrolls online Vorpx profile

Thanks for your time!
I’ve taken a few cracks at trying to get Rising Storm 2 Vietnam to work. The trouble with this one is that I can’t get Vorpx to inject. When I start up the game I can see a slight flicker in my HMD (vive) but then nothing happens. So looks like it’s trying but not succeeding.
I read the Basic Troubleshooting post, and tried what was there. Still no injection. I found a post where someone got Rising Storm to work, and I used their profile and was able to get that working. So.. I think it’s not overlays or something blocking Vorpx. Is there something else I can try? Or maybe this game is just no compatible? Anyone have any insight?
I used a program called Riftcat with Windows 10 and a USB 2.0 cable from the computer to the phone in tethering mode. Riftcat basically allows hosting of Steam VR games to the phone running an android client. There is another .EXE called ReviveInjector.exe which translates Oculus Rift SDK games to Steam VR.
All I had to do was drag VorpControl.exe onto ReviveInjector.exe and then as an example I also dragged TRU.exe (Tomb Raider Underworld) onto ReviveInjector.exe and voila! I saw VorpX TombRaider Underworld in 2560×1440 on samsung galaxy S7. Obvious advantages — a very cheap VR solution with better image quality than CV1 and Vive, still using your PC to render the VR left and Right images to produce high quality visuals. The only disadvantage is it uses the phones sensors for head tracking which isn’t buttery smooth like a real CV1 or Vive but this is very minor in my opinion given how well everything else works. I got a used s7 on ebay with cracked back glass for $240 and I’m sure there are other good deals.
I also used the latest Dolphin VR emulator with Oculus 1.3 SDK support and was blown away by many games in VR using the Galaxy S7 and a BoboVR Z4 headset.
You can also probably get away with using a cheaper 1920×1080 5.1″ phone display as well and still get to enjoy playing PC games in VR very affordably.
I was considering getting a CV1 but after trying this solution I realize I am getting better image quality. Touch controllers will of course be another game changer.
I’ve only run into one issue.
The Tomb Raider Underworld I was using was not a Steam game so when I dragged TRU.EXE onto ReviveInjector it had no problems kicking into the Vorpx Injector and I could run the VoprX menu and everything was available to configure to my liking.
However I tried dragging iw5sp.exe onto ReviveInjector and because it was a Steam library game and Steam VR was running a message from Steam popped up saying Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is not a Steam VR game and it will only run in desktop mode. When I clicked OK to continue it failed to inject into VorpX and resulted in a black screen with some stuttering sound. I am curious of that stupid Steam warning message is preventing the VorpX injector from working because it works fine with the non-steam Tomb Raider Underworld.
Anyway wanted to share some good news that you can use VorpX with some success to play PC games on your smartphone in high quality (depending on your phone display) with Windows 10 and Riftcat. Riftcat also allows it’s own natively supported VR games on PC to be played across your phone VR headset. It’s a great way to enjoy VR on a budget well at least until they all start requiring motion tracking controllers. I was excited to see the Gnomes and Goblins main menu screen and then couldn’t get to do anything else because it required Vive controllers. Still worth it for Dolphin VR by far. Playing Resident Evil 4 Gamecube version is a real treat. While everything is in stereoscopic 3D the headtracking is completely independent of your movement controls allowing full 360 immersive environment gawking using your head while moving your character in his own direction with gamepad. Very cool way to play many gamecube games and in 2560×1440 VR!

(!) and e-mailed a request for an activation code on januari 4th. I repeated that yesterday and today, since no response was given to my earlier request.
So far no answer, no ticketnumber, and above else no activation code.
Is this normal ? Why does it have to take so long ? Why is no ticket number or any other sign of life given ? Why such a clumsy and old fashioned activation system ?
Don’t you think this will give a good excuse to people who want to pirate the system ? (they get to download it and it will work right away)
Is it still piracy if I’ve payed for the product, I’m not given an activation code and I’m forced to use some cracked tool in order to use what I’ve legally bought ?
