KeymasterOrigins seems still to work as far as I can tell.
I’ll take a closer look tomorrow and if I can find a fast solution, will upload a hotfix. Mind the ‘if’ though, can’t say anything definitive yet.

Participantwill ac valhalla ever come in an official profile or not ? can we keep our hopes up for this game or not ? been waiting for months and i’m wondering if i should just play it on regular screen or just wait for an official profile.

Keymaster@ sergeant82nd : What headset do you have? The issue I can replicate here only occurs with WMR headsets. As soon as the WMR portal is running, the game has difficulties to get into foreground for some reason. This happens even without vorpX running. No quick fix for that unfortunately, requires further investigation. With other headsets AC:Odyssey and AC:Valhalla hook normally here.
@ steph12 : There still is the issue with vorpX losing access to the depth information occasionally. There was so much other stuff in this release that I didn’t have enough time to dive further into this very game specific issue. It’s still on the list though. There is a user profile in the cloud, judging from its description it has the very same issue though.

Keymaster@ sergeant82nd:
Provided your issue is the same Windows Mixed Reality related one that I experience here, you should be able to work around it by launching the game without the Mixed Reality Portal open. It will launch when vorpX initializes the headset.
Since the issue also occurs without vorpX running, I’m not sure whether another solution will be possible at all, but either way launching the game without the WMR Portal being open should do the trick.

Participant@ Ralf :
Thanks as always for your amazing, tireless work! I hope you know how much we all appreciate you!!!
I’ve noted a problem with v21.2.0.1 with Destiny 2. I know this is not an officially supported game, so I understand if there’s not much you can do.
I am using the Quest 2. With the vorpX update, if I hit the Home button to return to Oculus menus, the game freezes. I have to restart the game to get things to work again. This is not a problem with v21.1.1.
(FYI, Destiny 2 actually works extremely well in Z3D mode, and it’s epically cool. I’ve been working on a profile I plan to eventually share if you’re interested in making it an official title.)
Thank you!!

ParticipantJust to update in case others have the issues I had at first with WMR:
The kb5001391 win10 update seems to have fixed the hooking issue for most games. For BFV and SWBF2 disabling the Ansel .dll (AnselSDK64.dll) in the game dir by changing the extension to .dld or something else allowed those to hook. Also if you experience very low FPS (like 10fps) check that the direct mode async render is not turned off in the vorpx settings in-game. Now it’s working great, smooth as butter and the additional immersive screen size and position options are awesome. Great update!Apr 24, 2021 at 12:52am #202131Warrie
ParticipantI just did some testing. I have a G2 Reverb.
Before the update I could run WRC9, F1 2001 and Kingdom Come kind of smooth, but with gfx settings dropped to a minimum. And even then it was not supersmooth, fps drops to 80 occasionally. Which is very noticable in racing games. So after the update I tried these all. 90fps in all of them. Then I raised the gfx in WRC from low to medium. 90fps. To High. 90fps.
Same in F1 2001. From low to medium the fps remained stable 90fps. Only at ultra high the fps had drops to around 70.
This update is amazing Ralph. THANK YOU.

ParticipantI fixed my issue by deleting the profile for ACV. Then installing from the cloud again. Just posting in case someone else had my problem. Thanks for the work and the help!

Keymaster@ Kaaliba : I‘ll check that. Unsupported or not, switching to the Oculus settings and back should always work. Not sure currently what might have changed, but I‘ll take a closer look before the next update.
@ all : Thanks! And have a fun weekend.
