chtiblueParticipantThanks Ralph, I’ll try that!
Cheers
chtiblueParticipantOk I figured some things :)
I don’t know why but this time all the resolutions appeared in game video settings.
To free my view with the headset I had to crankd up headset sensitivity to 4.0 way more than usual.Only problem I still have is with Vorpx my Xbox controller isn’t properly working in game when it works perfect without Vorpx. With Vorpx interaction keys always switch to keyboard keys so it’s a pita to use inventory, open doors etc…
If I override Xbox controller in Vorpx, it changes keys or doesn’t respond at all
chtiblueParticipant@Ralph,
Thanks but I don’t use Pimax foveated rendering nor gpu scaling.
And yes I’m using Vorpx desktop viewer with virtual monitor activated.
In virtual monitor settings I ticked “add predifined resolutions above 4k” and even add a custom 2880×2800 resolution.
But ingame settings didn’t show any of those above 4k resolutions and putting game settings to nicer or ultra doesn’t change the resolution of the game.
How do I change game resolution with Vorpx overlay? And how do I know which resolution is the game rendering?
It would be nice to have a slider resolution like in other VR mods (UEVR or Luke Ross etc)Other thing is when I use the VR detection from Vorpx in Metro, my view in headset is not free like it should in VR, I had this in other game and had to sxitch Vr memory off in Vorpx to get the normal free view but it doesn’t work with Metro Exodus…
chtiblueParticipantHi Ralph,
Having a Pimax Light and soon a Pimax Air Dream, I appreciate the Virtual monitor with higher custom resolutions but I can’t make make it proper work.
Where canI see and how do I choose a specific custom high resolution (or even the predifined above 4k res)?
For example in Metro Exodus, in game’s vorpx overlay I only see nice/ultra game settings but it changes nothing in game, it always looks low res. Only way I found is disable desktop viewer to use my 4k tv res 2160p, but I want to go higher & 1:1 resolution
Cheers
chtiblueParticipantStill not working?
chtiblueParticipantIs ther an option to aim with the head instead controller?
For me aiming with the controller is just a pita and give me nausea
chtiblueParticipantThanks Ralf, I’ll check that
chtiblueParticipantJust received my G2, long time I didn’t use Vorpx since I sold my Reverb G1.
I7 9700k, 2080 Ti
So give it a try and too much judger even with low preset so not a graphic settings problem, I have constant 45 FPS on high settings but judger…
Any idea?
chtiblueParticipantDid anybody try superdepth3D VR?
chtiblueParticipantApril Fools ;)
chtiblueParticipantThanks Ralf, I will try that!
chtiblueParticipantPlayed the beginning of Ep. 1 myself two years back or so after implementing VR controller support standing with Touch controllers.
How do you implement VR controller support?
Do you mean so you can aim with your hand /controller like in true VR game?Feb 1, 2020 at 7:49pm in reply to: Any chance of a non VR version of Vorpx now that 3d vision support is dead? #192232
chtiblueParticipantI made an announcement a while ago in the geforce forums about the vorpX shader tools but got no response. Even my announcement that some helixmod shaderfixed are compatible with vorpx strangely didnt raise much interest.
Hi RJK,
Because new geforce forums are crappy all 3D shaderhackers and 3Dvision community have move on a new place at mtbs3d forums:
https://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=105
You should register here and post your announcement and you will surely have response. There was a great discussion few months ago between Ralf and 3Dvision shaderhackers encouraging collboration between us, we are in the same 3D immersion boat ;)
Like Zig11727, I’m a huge 3Dvision gamer for long years with my 4k interlieved LG 3dTV and now also enjoying Voprx with my HP Reverb,
Cheers
chtiblueParticipantI found a solution for the judder. I have a HP Reverb headset (so WMR). I set the refreshrate in the WMR settings to 60HZ instead of 90HZ or automatic. Now i have constant 60Hz and i can look around without any judder.
Thanks I will try that in RDR2 because I have constant judder in RDR2
chtiblueParticipantI noticed that on the HP Reverb I had to set ImageZoom in vorpX to ~0.80 to avoid black borders in the bottom of the headset… Both in Far Cry 5 and RDR2
