ParticipantRight, directly after my post within minutes, you say “YOU” throughout your whole tirade. You weren’t speaking to me.
Just shut up already please with your pointless “points” you are trying to make, like I or other people are being needy for asking a couple of times about progress.
You’re the worst kind of pointless masturbatory troll. Unsubscribed. Bye.dborosev
ParticipantWell there may be some people who ruin it for everyone, but don’t lump me in that category. I’ve only ever asked for updates or possible plans. If he doesn’t want to give that fine, I won’t ask again. But I won’t know that until I ask, will I?
So step off your high horse and get some info on who you are talking to before spouting your mouth off.dborosev
Participant@steph12
Here is a quote from you, after we waited over a month for any sort of Mass Effect Andromeda news.oh my…. guys, give Ralf a break.
do you really think games are easy to make them vorpx compatible ?
MEA just got released, and Ralf has probably already his hands full of tasks.
give him time. And we weren’t even asking him at that point, just discussing cinema mode vs. direct VR in the thread.
Outlast 2 has been out what, a few days?
Whats it like, being on the other side, waiting for game news? Fun right?
Let me know how you feel in a month.dborosev
ParticipantToo bad there isn’t a way to get the controllers working for weapons like the doom3 vr mod. That would be crazy.

Participant*bump*

ParticipantA lot of people dismiss cinema mode right away without giving it a chance, because they think its just a big TV. But its actually very very amazing and immersive.

ParticipantNope

Participant@doctorhino,
Incorrect, but let us know if you get it.
Spoiler: Check page 1. That was the first thing we tried.dborosev
ParticipantI’m a cinema mode expert, as I play all of my games in this mode.
I use fov 100 to 110 depending on the game.
I zoom up the window to about -80, as it gives the most immersion.
And I set 3d depth to about 1.30.Love it. And its quicker and less motion sickness than regular VR mode, without losing much immersive feel.

ParticipantIts on sale on steam right now. Is there still a flickering problem?

Participant@prinyo,
Actually, cinema mode (as its called), is very good, especially for third person games. It can be an amazing immersive experience.
I’ve played about 8 games using VorpX in cinema mode, and every single one has been in cinema mode, and amazing.
Just because you don’t like/understand it, don’t go shitting on everyone else’s experiences.
This is a thread about Andromeda, so if you don’t like cinema mode why are you even here? You like to play head tracked third person games? Thats not really VR.dborosev
Participant@cheeky,
You must be on crack. I got the tridef trial, and there is no Andromeda support – even with the battlefield 1 profile.dborosev
ParticipantSounds like you’ve had some bad experiences with bitchy and naggy customers.
I wasn’t planning to hold you to anything, or complain if it wasn’t delivered or wasn’t on time. I was a developer for 14 years so I know how it goes.
So if its your policy to not say anything because of that, that’s cool.
I’ll just wait and see then.dborosev
ParticipantHey Ralf,
I do understand the “if possible” part, was just hoping on some very rough ballpark timing (days, weeks, months), as we are anxiously awaiting it. As you know, waiting for something really sucks when you are completely in the dark.
Thats fine if you don’t even want to give a guess at when. Just thought I’d ask. Sorry.
Thanks for looking into it at some point in the future.dborosev
ParticipantNever used tridef, can you give some details? Thanks.
(Is it comparable to Z-Normal?)
@Ralf – A weigh-in here would really be helpful. I’d rather not have to buy another piece of software if VorpX support is coming at some time. Even a “Yeah, I’m going to add it sometime in the next month” would be something at this point. -
