Participant@AerowynX,
Are you using that VR mod that lets you use the controllers as guns?
Have you ever gotten it to work with gta5 and vorpX?dborosev
ParticipantCant find anything on reshade. Link?

ParticipantThanks, I’ll check it out.

ParticipantOh Ralf, you know so well the little 3D snob monsters that you’ve created.
Thanks to VorpX, I’ll likely never play another “flat” game again. Its like a drug that you can’t kick.Whats really tearing at me however, is gnawing hope that you can create a profile for MassEffect:Andromeda. Are you done that yet by the way?? (Just kidding!)
Its the one game I’ve been dying for for so long, and the possibility of only being able to play in 2D would make me stab my eyes out and move to a mountain top. No pressure.Anyway, I’ll be a patient little addict, and hope for the best.
Thanks for the suggestion tho on Doom. ;)dborosev
ParticipantNo worries. I saw someone “claimed” getting it to work with another profile (so they say). So I was curious.

ParticipantI’m playing in cinema mode, and don’t have any of those issues.

ParticipantSee my other 2 threads on this. I worked around most of them. And I turned off object highlighting anyways as I don’t like being so hand-held in the game.
Ralf mentioned he forgot to add the SBS feature to the menu, so maybe it’ll be there next release?Mar 15, 2017 at 5:16pm in reply to: Deus Ex Mankind Divided SBS stereo in virtual screen mode #126967dborosev
ParticipantHey,
I used to use that through virtual desktop software. But it looks quite bad for some reason due to how DE is doing their SBS. However, I’ve found that the profile Ralf added using Z-Normal 3D looks VERY good, almost as good as Geometry, so I’ve been using that. I guess the game is just well suited to this method with all its hard angles.
I highly recommend it, and this is coming from a Geometry 3D snob.
Make sure you use a wider FOV also. Looks great, and you can crank up the graphics options to boot.dborosev
ParticipantHey Ralf,
No, don’t delete the profile. I can play as-is, just using the workarounds. Yeah I found that going into and out of “smart vision” in the game will reset the z-buffer, so I can use that.
I’ll give the new profile a try for the cursor.
Thanks.dborosev
Participant4th (minor)Bug:
One more weird glitch I’ve noticed on launching the game. If VorpX driver is running, sometimes Steam will give me an error like “Error updating Deus Ex mankind divided, unknown error”.
The game is up to date, and I can work around it by exiting vorpX, launching the game to the small start menu in windows, then running VorpX and continuing.
I suspect it has to do with the game start menu it loads first?dborosev
ParticipantNice. I heard its even better than the first one.

ParticipantCool. Check out my DE:MD post further back with a couple bugs, in case it got buried.
Cheers.dborosev
ParticipantMore info:
Looks like it may not be caused by *any* menu, but especially by game tutorial popups. (Other game popups too I assume)
It stops the z-depth from updating, and it just remains static from that point on.dborosev
ParticipantAnother 2 bugs:
– the z-normal gets messed up when you enter any menu exit the menu. Like it overlays some static z-normal which does not match the actual scene. Can’t seem to get rid of it
– there is no mouse cursor in game, which is needed for hacking screens, etc.The first reported bug I could work around, but this z-normal one is a deal-breaker until fixed.
dborosev
ParticipantNo issues for me as of yet.
I did notice that GTA5 seemed to be giving me DirectVR fail messages though.
And no way to change the FOV in cinema, so I had to use Flawless widescreen for that. -
