VRified GamesParticipant
Works fine (with some shader issues, very minor) with Borderlands 3 profile and PD’s custom profile :-)
Tested today
VRified GamesParticipantOkay so something bizarre I haven’t Come across before, any insight would be appreciated.
When positional tracking is unlocked, or 3d fov enhancement used then some textures follow the viewpoint
So strange, almost like HUD elements
Not I cable in the first hospital section especially
Wall tiles and floor move with the head 😂
Hard to explain
VRified GamesParticipantOkay some.ini tweaks help with visuals in VR so that’s progress
:-)
VRified GamesParticipantI got it to hook using the Blair Witch offical profile
But there was weak 3d
I then tried Delrifters profile for medieval dynesty and it’s the best I have found.
Great 3d.
However if you want 6 DOF it’s a little broken
VRified GamesParticipantVRified GamesParticipantYeah you can go to the profile in the vorpx program and choose “reset profile to factory default.”
Hit apply and close and next time you hook into BioShock it will be like the first time vorpx hooks into the game
VRified GamesParticipantThat’s awesome
Honestly, I can’t play cp2077 without them now
Really does add another layer of immersion
VRified GamesParticipantI didn’t change the FOV no. Everything is stock, its driving me mad 😂
Can’t figure it out
VRified GamesParticipantThank you Ralf,
Resetting the game to default fixed the issue
Many thanks indeed
VRified GamesParticipantGhostwire: Tokyo
Not released yet 😂 yup….im that impatient
VRified GamesParticipantWhile your question has nothing at all to do with vorpx, you do not need to uninstall anything
The oculus PC software works with all oculus headsets regardless.
Just pair your quest 2 with the PC software, that’s it.
VRified GamesParticipantAlso helpful if you set controllers to visible with the buttons displayed until you get used to them :-)
VRified GamesParticipantHi Ralf (you absolute legend)
Have you thought about locomotion?
Back in the day I used glovepie with tridef3d
I had a walk in place script
I had two wiimotes in my pockets to register movement
And a wiimote Velcroed to my chest,
The chest determined forward back and side to side by leaning tour torso
And would only move when you took steps
I could also sprint with a movement treshold
And jump and duck….though this movement caused issue…..anyway off topic slightly
My idea for the gesture system
Arm swing for locomotion and lean with headset to determine direction
For instance, you swing your arms just like walking to move, while this action is active, read the positional data of the headset a sharp pull back or tilt left/right to change directions
Only active when armswing is detected
I’m sure a sprint treshold could be doable depending on how fast/hard you swing the arms
Just an idea :-)
VRified GamesParticipantPlus one for optional hip tracker support…..for mainline vorpx also :-)
Mar 11, 2022 at 9:29am in reply to: Witcher 3 got a brand new first person mod, this time for real #210146VRified GamesParticipantHi Ralf,
I know what he means by the scale issue and it’s not vorpx
It’s because the game is a third person game and the scaling of objects was made for that view
So when in first person the scale of objects seems wrong, but that’s because they were not designed to be viewed this way
Nothing to do with vorpx at all, but a design choice by CD project red.
Now….if you are going to look into a “first person profile” for this game….can I be cheeky and ask that positional tracking/6 DOF gets some love with this profile pleaseeeeee?
I’ll buy you chocolate
