I dont really understand, why PSVR 2 is so much hyped, because there is so much lesser Content than PCVR, no 3D BluRay Support, you can only play games in a 2D Cinema Screen without any Zoom Option.
And this costs 600 Euros for an Headset, which cant used as Standalone Headset, the Controllers work only for 4 Hours.. There is only Gran Turismo 7 on PSVR2, i can play more than 10 Racing Sims on PC right now with better Graphics, thanks to Vorpx and i dont have to pay for Online Gaming ;)

With PCVR and Pico 4 (Just 430 Euros) you can play via Vorpx so many games in really great VR, there are so much more possibilities.

With Virtual Desktop or the Vorpx Desktop Viewer and the right Software, which shows the 3D Blu Rays Movie in SBS, you are able to watch them on your PC Headset easily in SBS Mode.
Or you could rip your own BluRays as SBS Movies and put them on your Standalone PCVR Headset and watch them, without any Console or PC.

PCVR is the future, PSVR2 is just for user, who just own a PS5 and dont like to play with anything else on PC or just want an Plug an Play Experience.

I think it wouldn’t have been difficult to add 3D BluRay support on the PS5…

    But :)

    Hey Ghost75757,

kept you waiting huh ? :)

I didnt play any VR last year, my headstrap of my VIVE is not good anymore and i bought an new Pico 4 this year, but sadly it had defective Lenses (its an Quality Product Issue) with Lens Disortions and i had to return it after the first day. I now want to wait until i get my 2nd one.

When i get my 2nd Pico 4 with hopefully perfect lenses, then i cant wait to play this Game in cinematic Mode VR ;)

Thanks for your Guide with this Camera Tool, i cant wait to try it ;)

To answer your Question: The Trick was, to Pause the watcher, when you wanted to play via the Desktop Viewer, because if you didnt pause the watcher, the games automatically hooked then in Vorpx and interfered ;)

By the way, did you already play MGS2 and MGS3 via PCSX2 Emulator with the 3D Plugin ?
    Its great.
Also there is now an 3rd Person Mod for Metal Gear Solid 2 PC Version, if this Game also had an Vorpx Profile ;)

Also, you you can play Twin Snakes via Dolphin VR or via “Normal Dolphin with SBS Mode for Cinematic VR experience.
And there is an great Boneworks Metal Gear Solid Mod. Just for your Interest ;)

I dont understand, when people say dont buy Vorpx, its the best way to “make” non VR Games to VR.
There isnt any other Software, who is able to do all that things
what Vorpx can do, with an great Performance !

Before i bought Vorpx, it tried to get Games working in “semi VR” with Virtual Desktop and Reshade with an Stereoscopic 3D Plugin, but this wasn´t the experience you want.

Vorpx is the best experience you can get.
    I would recommend Vorpx anytime.

    Hey,

you can play the Games with TriDef3D in Vorpx Desktop Viewer Cinema Mod or also with full VR mode, just without positional tracking, but with Headtracking.
But really important is, that the Games must be runned in “Windowed Mode” or “Borderless Windwowed Mode, otherwise you get an black screen.

For that, you can use the Program “Borderless Gaming”

The 3D from TriDef is like Geometry 3D when you set the “Power 3D” off mode in TriDef.
    Power 3D on = Z3D
    Power 3D off= G3D
    :)

With “Flawless Widescreen” you can adjust the FOV.
Then just play in Cinema Mode or Full VR Mode and set it to Side by Side.
When you play in FULL VR Mode, then its highly recommended to adjust the FOV with Flawless Widescreen or with an FOV Mod when available.
In Cinema Mode, its ok without then.

    Hi,

if you want to fix the FOV without changing or installing any files in the game folder, you can also use flawless widescreen, which is also very nice.

Ok, i need to correct something, SBS only works with DirectX 11 Games,
i forgot that i tested the Direct X9 Game: The Darkness 2 via Tridef 3D and i thought it was the 3DFixmanager.. my fault..

But yeah for Quantum Break and Metal Gear Solid, it works when you set
3D display type to: 3D Vision Discover for VR
and preferred 3D format to: Side by Side

Im looking further for a SBS Trick for DX9 Games.
But i would recommend for some unsupported DX9 Games, that Tridef3D is a good solution at the moment, of course in Cinema Mode only, or with an FOV Fix and in Full VR Mode to get an “almost Full VR Mode with Headtracking without positional Tracking”.

For me, Vorpx is already the best Software for VR and you dont need much more.
I use Nvidia 3D Vision just for Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain.
For Quantum Break, Tridef 3D with an generic Profile does a very great Job and looks like Geometry 3D.
And of course, with TriDef 3D you can get the most games (DX9 also) work in SBS.

It would be so great if it would be possible to convert the NVidia 3D Vision Metal Gear Profile to Vorpx.

    Hi,

when you have installed the fixmanager, then you also need to start any compatible game via the fixmanager.
The manager will detect your installed Games and you will find then the list in the left section.
When you choose one game, there are 3 Options then : “Play 2D” “Play 3D” “Install 3D Fix”
Make sure that 3D is activated in the right corner above.
It will also automaticaly enable if its not activated.
The fixmanager installs an “modified custom 3D Nvidia Vision driver, this is why everything will be controlled by the fix manager.

So it will only start in 3D Mode, when you start a game via the Fixmanager.

Also i recommend to download the “RivaTuner Statistics Server” for accessing all features of 3D Fix Manager.
This eliminates micro stuttering, reduces input lag and improves frametimes for stereo 3D mode.
You find it also under the Fixmanager download link.

This is how to get Side by Side:

    In the manager go to:

Settings –> Display Profiles –> Monitor Profile

Tick the Box: “Preferred 3D Format” and set it to “Side by Side”.
In default its set to Regular 3D Vision Frame Sequential

I also recommend to enable in

Settings –> Nvidia 3D Settings –> Advanced Hotkeys, so you can control the convergence, which is a must, to make the 3D Effect really good. The best is, when the character pops out a little bit.

In game via CTRL + F3 (best to hold the keys) you can decrease the 3D depth
with CTRL + F4 you increase the strenght.

CTRl + ALT + F11 is like changing to Z3D/G3D

The fixmanager also offers 3 differtent Profiles, Monitor, Beamer and TV.
i would recommend to set there also all to SBS via ticking the box.

In Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain, when you use any hotkey you will get feedback by changing the 3D Strength.
In the Darkness 2 (DirectX9) you dont get any feedback, but it works.

In case the game is not in SBS 3D, press CTRL+ T to enable or disable it manually.

U dont need to install any more or something the fixmanager will automatically install all requred drivers. So it will automatically install the correct 3D fix for Directx9 and so on. You only need to start the game via the manager.

Of course Vorpx Profiles with G3D are the best experience you can get.

But for games like Quantum Break and Metal Gear Solid The Phantom Pain and some more,
the engine of these games are not Vorpx friendly, so we need to get the “3D” from somewhere else like Nvidia 3D Vision or Tridef 3D.

I see, so that means the only way to play Metal Gear Solid The Phantom Pain with Nvidia 3D Vision on Windows 10 at the moment,
is to downgrade the video driver.
    Thats really bad…
I think Nvidia 3D Vision use an “specific hook”.

So we need an “DGVodoo3 – Metal Gear Nvidia 3D Vision Edition” wrapper like for the Fox Engine, to get this “hook”.

    @ RJK
Yes it works for example Bioshock 2 in direct x9 is in the game list, in the description of the website you can see following information:
This includes fixes using Helix Mod (DirectX 9), 3dmigoto (DirectX 11) and OpenGL 3D Vision Wrapper.

    @Oliiiiive

Oh, im still using Windows 8.1 and can confirm Phantom Pain and quantum break works perfectly with the Nvidia 3D Vision via 3D Fix manager.
My (normal Nvidia driver is version 445.87

My Pc is 6 years old and i have an Geforce GTX 660, i buy a new pc in the next months with Windows 10 of course.

But it should also work in Win 10.
Do you use Nvidia Geforce Experience to update your normal video card driver ?

There is a 3. way i found out yesterday:
But this is only for NVIDIA Users:

You are still able to install the Nvidia 3D Vision driver via
3D Fix Manager – Helix Mod.

If you install this tool, then in the program you need to click on 3D on and off until the programs says it will download the latest Nvidia 3D Vision Driver, you are able to keep your updated graphics driver without need to delete it, it will just “add the 3D Vision feature which Nvidia did remove last year, because they didnt support it anymore”.

The 3D fix manager “fixes” the 3D Vision Profiles also, i tested yesterday for the first time ever Metal Gear Solid – The Phantom Pain and Quantum Break.
Both worked in awesome 3D. Also the fixed Profiles are also better and doesnt have any shadow problems like the normal driver had.
That means you play then like an better “Nvidia 3D Vision 2.0 driver”

You just need to set also all in Side by Side in the Program.
Then play it via Virtaul Desktop or Vopx Desktop Viewer and activate SBS.
That means you can play all Nvidia 3D Vison supported Game in Cinema Mode then.

I also tried to find an FOV Fix for Quantum Break, but there isnt one, so i think the “best VR experience” for Quantum Break is in the Cinema Mode or Full VR zoomed out. But its possible :)

    Hi Ralf,

    1. Today, Pcsx2 got a new update.
Version 1.6.0 and i tested it with the “3D Plugin”.
I tested Tekken 4 and Metal Gear Solid 3.
I can confirm this still works. When you are ingame in PCSX2 you can change the 3D Mode to Over/under, Interlaced (for passive 3DTVs), Analygph and
Side by Side via numpad *, the 3D Effect is nice.

But the only problem is, in my older version of pcsx2 i was able to configure it from the Plugin settings to SBS. So it started everytime in SBS which would be nice for Vorpx. Now you have to choose ingame to sbs, but you need to this only once, then it will start everytime in SBS, maybe this wouldnt be a problem to include with Vorpx ?

    2. I couldn´t find any more official way about the Plugin, so its only from the PCSX2 Forum.
The filename in the forum is: GSdx3D_Dlls_rev68m.7z
You can find it when you google :pcsx2 3d plugin, then in the first link you find it.
Im writing this, because i dont know, if i am allowed to post links :)

Of course this all works already very good with Vorpx Desktop Viewer (with paused watcher) or Virtual Desktop, but yeah an official Vorpx Profile would be nice, like the Dolphin Profile for Cinema Mode.

    Hey,
you can play unsupported Games in “Cinema Mode” or “almost Full VR without Positional Tracking” (Z3D) (including Quantum Break Steam Version -Direct X11) like this :

1.Way: Install Reshade and the Plugin for Reshade “Superdepth 3D”,
ingame set it in Side by Side mode to get Z3D. You can freely set the 3D Strentgh and so on,
you need to check out whats the best for you.
If the 3D is not good, try to change the Buffer to “Normal Z Reversed”.

Now you can play it via Vorpx Desktop Viewer or Virtual Desktop on your VR Headset, you have to activate Side by Side Mode.
Addiotionally you can install the Reshade Plugin “Lumasharpen”
to get the same sharpening feature like in Vorpx.

    One omportant note:

All Games have to run in “windowed mode” or “borderless Fullscreen”.
If a game doesnt support it,
no problem: just install the programm “borderless gaming”
to get the game in borderless Fullscreen.
Because when the game runs in fullscreen both programs cannout capture it.
I also recommend to play all Games in 1280×1024.

    2. Way:
Install Tridef 3D and create an Generic 3D Profile, Tridef 3D does a very great Job, btw you are also able to watch 2D Movies on your PC with really not bad 3D (realtime converting).
Then also you can choose if you use Virtual Desktop or Vorpx Desktop Viewer.
One important note here: you can also keep reshade installed and you can use the sharpening feature then.

The good thing about this is, this also works with Direct X8 Games.

Also, you can download “opentrack” to use headtracking.
Also you can use flawless Widescreen for FOV Change.

    Hello,

for the PS2 Emulator there is an 3D Plugin:
    Name: Gsdx-3D: Stereoscopy Patch.

It works in 3D Side by Side and im using it with Virtual Desktop, Vorpx Desktop Viewer, or with my 3D TV, the 3D is really good, like G3D.
Maybe this could be work to combine it with the PCSX2 Vorpx Profile ?
