    Ralf,

    thanks for your reply.

Please, could you guys just give feedback that you received the email and are on it. Then I know, well, you’re on it and have received the email. Without feedback I don’t know if you received it at all or are just ignoring it. Being a pessimistic screwhead I chose the latter one.

And second: I chose to refuse to believe that is related to the virus scan as I disabled it and also put the folder and process to the exclusion list. It worked before with Bitdefender and VorpX flawlessly so that can’t be the issue, right? Well, wrong.

It was the fucking Bitdefender and I was to fucking stubborn to spend two minutes testing this until now.

And lastly: my apologies for being an ass.

Having very similar issues and already sent the log files to the support. No feedback at all so far.

    I agree with OP.

    The list is *very* misleading.

As there is no way to test VorpX before buying like with TriDef for example, all you have is this list and some internet chatter.

After buying VorpX it was like a kick in the nuts. Even a game is on the list the VorpX driver itself shows me on the rift that this game is not supported and all I get is a 2D “experience”. If you call that supported… no thank you.

But yes, it has to do something with my steam, steam overlay, ShadowPlay, Virus Scan, (insert random name here) and so on.

Selling the software as “beta” doesn’t help at all, well maybe the author as an excuse.

Some games like Amnesia are unplayable as the refresh rate is tied to your monitor. So if it’s 60 Hz you’ll get a 30 FPS “experience” in VR. *slowclap*

Some games’ physics is tied to 60 Hz refresh rate and here again it’s pretty much useless.

And even the game which run pretty well still have glitches with shadows or reflections.

I tried TriDef and it works and much better for games like Guild Wars 2, Tera, Life is Strange, Trine, Bioshock Infinite and so on. No headtracking, but playing first person VR with VorpX and not being do decouple head movement from mouse movement makes me wanna hit something really hard. The latter not being an issue of VorpX, it’s just the way it is and for me it sucks big time.

The most enjoyable way is really to play on a virtual screen in stereoscopic 3D and for that TriDef is far superior to VorpX.

a profile won’t change the fact that it’s only in 2D.

A limit of say 60 Hz doesn’t mean 60 FPS in VR. In reality it goes down to exactly 30 FPS, half the value at 60 Hz. Guess this has to do with the rendering for two eyes. (If you tried playing Prey (latest version) or Amnesia in VR on a 60 Hz monitor you know what I mean; eye-cancer alert)

If you’re lucky you can remove this limitation like you did with CSGO, but I’d suggest upping the limit to 180 or removing the FPS lock completely if possible.

Some games render at max monitor refresh rate and force your rift to run the same. there’s nothing you can do besides buying a monitor with a higher rate. And some game’s physics is tied to 60 Hz/FPS. Then you’re even more screwed. :/

Project Cars has native VR built in, Assetto Corsa is great, too and Dirt Rally VR will be out in the next couple of days. I do enjoy VorpX with a few games, but they all have at least one issue and I don’t want this in driving games.

I really don’t know how you could wish for more than those games.

Hi. The only way i got it to work is by turning on the vorpx desktop viewer and then going on diablo. The reason the other way doesn’t work is because battle.net is strict about people trying to intercept their video output from the game.

I also noticed that the service provided by vorpx(Except the desktop viewer) is provided by steam for free. All you have to do is add a non steam game to the steam library then go to its properties then select the vr theater option. Once ur ready to play, turn steam vr on and you will be in a movie theater playing the game.

Thank you for answering. I tried that and it didn’t work. TriDef worked.

I have to wonder why this game is still on the supported list. One can hardly call that supported. Neither from a technical standpoint nor help from the developer.

don’t mind the list and terms like “compatible” or “supported”. many of these games from the list are bad in VR or may not even work, depending on your hardware and skills.
