No problem, there is no need to use vorpx to play Alien Isolation with DK2.
1) Modify ENGINE_SETTINGS.XML (DATA folder) change stereo options ( “Off” to “Rift”) in this way:
<Setting name=”Stereo Mode”>
<Quality name=”Rift” precedence=”4″/>
</Setting>2) Set Oculus in extended.
3) Pause Oculus Service.
4) Put monitor as main screen(not Rift).
5) Main monitor must be set to 75hz (I had to set mine from 2560 to 1024 to get 75 Hz)
6) Start the game.
7) Post in forum saying that Sega is GOD and must update the game to use RIFT without this settings, I hope that they don´t disable it in an update…..gustavor38BlockedThe problem is that in my spanish keyboard there is no way to get vorpx´s menu. I press DEL but nothing appears….
gustavor38BlockedI find that this is the first game that make my stomach grunt after DK1.
Something strange happens when i turn my head, i turn in 30 degrees and view turns 180 looking backwards.
Is it a FOV issue?
Can i change this behavior? How?Sep 9, 2014 at 8:59am in reply to: Skyrim and other games work super sampled at 2650×1440 on DK2 + vorpx #17520gustavor38Blocked2650×1440?
Would it be 2560×1440 ? Is it a typo error or is it ok?gustavor38BlockedOh yes, pleaaaaaase, it would be the generation bomb!!!!!!
no more wait to demos…..gustavor38BlockedNow it works (?), i didn´t touch anything perhaps i was trying in wrong location ;-)
gustavor38BlockedI have the same problem, it doesn´t work for me
gustavor38BlockedExcuse me Ralph, you answered me when i was writting the post.
gustavor38BlockedYes, the bigger problem for me is that i can´t view all the screen, i can´t read the dialogs and answer the questions…. can anybody help me? is any kind of dk2 setting or vorpx related, i tried to change the lens all way out and all way in but no helps….
gustavor38BlockedI can see it but…
Positional tracking is not working.
I changed FOV as you suggested but I can´t see the edges, so it´s impossible to use the menus.
Big judder too.
Anybody with better luck?
Are you setting anything into vorxp menu ingame?gustavor38BlockedThe video was made with a preview build, which is not publicly available. Head tracking does not work with the DK2 and the current public vorpX build, this will require a build done with the latest Oculus SDK. Sorry for not having any other answer.
The wait will be over soon. Thanks again for your patience.
What do you mean?
No head tracking means no camera but works like a DK1? or means no movement at all?gustavor38BlockedI continue because i can´t find the button to edit the last post.
I tested slender and i see the dual image through the DK2. Like was the computer screen in DK1….gustavor38BlockedAfter reading roadtovr article about compatibility with skyrim in DK2 i ran to buy your product.
Now I find that really they are reviewing a not public version, right?. I think that this is not a good policy.
When i try to use the product i find that no head movement is detected by vorpx, not the camera (i know i must wait for the update), the rift alone. When I turn the head the image turns with me, i can´t look around is as i have a monitor glued to my head.
I tested it with fallout3, i tried stopping and starting the oculus service, the program opens ok in the dk2 forcing it with vorpx control. I tried using system config but the problem is the same.Am I doing anything wrong?
Excuse my english, it isn´t my native language.
