It’s nice to have all the options possible in the toolbox, although you are absolutely right that alternate-frame rendering is certainly a stopgap, it’s uncomfortable a lot of time. Someone said that with high refresh rate headsets it works a lot better. I personally prefer it over Z3D for the more realistic 3D effect.

I understand for what you said that for now real stereoscopic G3D can’t be done with Cyberpunk and other modern games, aside from the obvious performance hit, right? I proposed it to have that option available from now on for the future or for people who have good graphics cards.

Thanks for the update a few days ago (now it’s much easier to shoot) and for considering adding AER as an option for all games!

    Kind regards

    Hi Ralf,

Could you at least say something about my message?

    Thank you.

    Hi Ralf,

Thank you for the awesome Cyberpunk mod.

An idea that’s crossing my mind. Could you add some setting to toggle between alternate-eye rendering and normal stereoscopic rendering? It would make this mod more “future-proof” so in a few years with new graphics cards we can play the game with stereoscopic rendering if we want, instead of having to live with the horrible effects of alternate-eye rendering.

It could be below the 3D reconstruction setting and showed only when G3D is activated.

Also, it could be nice if we could get the same toggle in all games, not only Cyberpunk, and be able to apply AER if we need to.

Thank you very much and kind regards.

Thank you for your response Ralf. I have no mods and the profile was reset yesterday, so it looks that’s what you said, some resource limit, maybe the GPU memory. It’s a 2080 but maybe 8 GB are falling short with graphic settings at max.

Kind regards and happy new year!

    Hi,

I have the 1.06 version of Cyberpunk, vorpX 21.1.1, Nvidia RTX 2080 and Oculus Rift S.

I can play in VR very nicely with raytraced illumination and all that with about 40 FPS that goes to 80 with FluidSync. That’s nice, but I have to stay in the same place, because apparently when the game loads more cells of the environment the framerate goes down, and my nausea goes up. The bug it’s not based on time, it’s when walking away from the position where the game loaded.
The worst comes when the character dies and a checkpoint is loaded, I have seen about 5 FPS.

When this happens, the only solution is closing and opening the game.
This bug is not present when playing in desktop mode without vorpX.

Do you know about some solution or if it’s a known bug?

Thank you very much and kind regards.

Can’t find a button to edit the last post. Just to say I’ve been trying also G3D Shadow Treatment. Setting it to other values does nothing, except the one that hides the shadows. Then there are no problem with the out of focus shadows, but you know, there are no shadows 😂 and they are like 40% of the game.

    Hi,

I’ve been experimenting a bit with this very beautiful game.
In Geometry 3D mode the shadows are out of focus, and if you close one eye you see them correctly. Could be this corrected somehow? I remember reading in the forum that the user shader authoring tool couldn’t fix these things. Maybe we need your help, Ralf.

In Z3D the shadows are shown nicely, and the FPS boost is blessed, although at least for me, G3D does give me presence. It’d be nice to be able to play with it.

Unfortunately, if you really wanna play GTA V in VR you have to use a sparrow version, preferably one with all mods working as intended. No online VR tho, you would just get flagged and banned anyway…

Hi, do you know which version is the one that worked right? The R.E.A.L. mod is awesome and I’d like to try VorpX too.

Unfortunately the usual way that vorpX uses to separate the HUD from the rest of the rendered image doesn’t work for Oblivion.

I have an alternatative method in mind for quite a while, but for now that’s just an idea. If I had to guess I would say chances are 50:50 that this new idea will work. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi Ralf, this is an old thread, but is there any news with the issue with the HUD of Oblivion? I was yesterday enjoying being in that beautiful world, but I have to be accessing the game’s console and entering “tm” to toggle the HUD all the time. If we could just resize and put the HUD in the bottom, and eliminate the crosshair…

Thank you very much and kind regards.
