Thanks, Ralf. I am using the default balanced settings; I’m not sure if they are the same for everybody or change according to system configuration, but just in case I posted them here.

I am current with everything (NVIDIA driver 441.12) except that I’m still on Windows 10 version 1809 because I need to be able to install older 3D Vision drivers.

One time I got the black screen just by pressing Escape, so it might be related to the transition from the 3D world rendering to the 2D UI (BTW, I also get the weird artifacts during the grayscale loading screens as reported by another user; unsure if the problems are related). I will try again today to see if I can reproduce better, or if I can get rid of the issue by changing something in the options and/or switching to SteamVR mode.

Ralf, congrats on the DX12 support!! As steph12 said, a huge step forward for vorpX!

I have two issues to report: the vorpX desktop viewer doesn’t seem to work anymore (it doesn’t crash but it does nothing, the Oculus runtime doesn’t even register it as a VR app), and sadly RDR2 is unplayable for me with vorpX at the moment. If I just free-roam it appears to work fine, but during missions, when the game transitions from a cutscene to realtime action and viceversa, most of the times I get a black screen both on the monitor and in the Rift, and nothing more happens. Alt-Tab works but returning to the game doesn’t get rid of the black screen. Even the vorpX logo disappears from the bottom of the monitor screen.

I have no issues with RDR2 if I don’t use vorpX (I’m around 16% of the game and never had a single freeze or crash).

You don’t need vorpX for this one… ZED has native VR support, just add “-vr” to the command line

Well, a very easy way is to move back (in real life) a foot or so when you start the game, reset the view in that position, and then move toward the screen as much as you like :-)

See here. Basically, Ralf can’t do anything unless Ubisoft whitelists vorpX in its anticheat thing, which we all know is never going to happen.

I would gladly buy a second copy of vorpX for Watch Dogs 2 support :-D

@RJK_ I believe he wants the screen farther away, not closer. In order to give an IMAX-like feeling, the screen should be at least 10 m away from the viewer, with a width of at least 22 m (source)

Yes, G3D works!! Brotherhood looks even better than II frankly (skybox is not at the correct depth, but at least it has some depth). I’ve only just begun Revelations but G3D seems to be mostly OK too, with minor issues like some shadows at wrong position.

Me three, same issue with the fonts (I have to delete them manually every time otherwise the auto-update fails).

Thank you!!! Sorry for missing the fixes, I was so blinded by the trove of new games added by 18.1.0, especially my favorite Tron 2.0 :-), that I didn’t notice them in the list.

I will check out AC2 again as soon as I finish AC:Origins (which is not going to be very soon, so many places to go and things to do!)

This might have the same root cause as similar issues reported in the past for Need for Speed: Most Wanted (here) and Assassin’s Creed 2 (here). There’s been no official comment yet, let’s hope Ralf can find the time to take a look :-)

Yep, sorry, totally forgot about it!!! Setting “3D-Strength/Scale” to 1.50 did the trick for me. Thanks again!

In my case, with the Oculus Rift, vorpx chooses “96” for the FOV. I verified that it is correct, in the sense that it is the value for which there is no warping when turning your head. However, world scale is off; everything looks too big. To achieve a correct world scale, I have to set FOV manually to 110, which leads to world warping.

A slider to set world scale independently from FOV would be helpful :-P

Very glad that you liked the mod!! I spent a lot of time getting the cutscenes just right, I’m happy that it was worthwhile.

Re: Tron 2.0, do you have MSAA working? Those jagged edges on the neon-like, well, everything, are truly bothersome and ruin the 3D effect a bit…
