Cybershoes, I mean.

moarveerParticipantno problem, sometimes I can be helpful instead of annoying lol. Played Bioshock 2 for another two hours, only a single crash while loading a save, it really looks like i’ll be able to finish it this time and the game looks amazing in VR, Vorpx does some real magic here.
moarveerParticipantI would like to add that Bioshock 2 Remastered has been very stable in my latest run, i’ve reached Ryan Amusements (about 1/3rd of the game, or 2-3 hours) with only a single crash when changing a level, but otherwise really stable. I plan to finish it, so maybe it can be added to the list if it’s still this playable.
Avoid vanilla Bioshock 2, that’s a crash fest, and Ralf I think you should remove the message where Vorpx recommends vanilla Bioshock 2 over B2 remastered while playing B2 remastered, remastered version way better now (and looks better which is a bonus).
From my early days with DK2, I remember Singularity and Call of Duty World at War looking really good, I don’t know how well they work now, I’ll give them a try again at some point.
moarveerParticipantMaybe here? : https://www.g2a.com/es-es/dear-esther-steam-key-global-i10000043429002
I don’t like g2a much but it’s one of the few places to get steam keys for unavailable games.
moarveerParticipantOn my side I can add:
Oblivion
Dear Esther (non Landmark edition)On Vive ages ago I got working great:
Far Cry 3
DishonoredQuake 4 works well then in Vorpx?
moarveerParticipantThanks and sorry for that, I’ll give a look at the help file.
moarveerParticipantIs VORPX heavily dependant of CPU or RAM? I have a 1080ti but my CPU/RAM are well below par, could that be a reason for some of the problems?
moarveerParticipantYou’re right, I checked Portal and indeed it mentions 4:3 resolution to avoid flicker, I don’t think that message to avoid flicker was shown on Dear Esther though, but Portal on 16:9 had that same flicker and it was gone on Portal at 4:3, so I’ll have to try on Dear Esther but it sure look like that was the problem.
The tracking was a bit off on Portal though, just like on BI, I would actually say that it’s 1:1 but it has some kind of strange stutter, like some kind of vsync issue, however I’ve tried BI with 4:3 resolution and the tracking seemed way better now, not perfect but a lot better, again with some kind of stutter, but if I walk straight the game is just fine.
Tried again Bioshock 2 and 4:3 resolution, that game is just perfect on Vorpx in every way, scale and tracking, feels completely VR ready, amazing, I wish it didn’t crash from time to time, but it’s so weird that a game works flawless while others have that annyoing tracking issue.
moarveerParticipantThe thing is that other games work great with DirectVR so it’s really weird, I’m installing a ton of Oblivion mods and tested BI in between, Oblivion with nearly 70 mods at 2k res works flawlessly after DirectVR, but a minute later I run BI and it does that weird thing, I’ll try to disable DirectVR and see how it works.
Something not exactly similar happens with Dear Esther, the game looks great, tracking is fine but I get some screen blinking that makes it painful to play,so it’s a hit and miss between games, though for example Metro 2033 Redux is great too on the Pimax.
moarveerParticipantIve run the scan maybe a dozen times, it always completes successfully but it’s always off, I don’t know what’s going on but I’ve used a lot DirectVR and it’s not working properly in this game for me, others like Bioshock 1 and 2, Oblivion, Stanley parable, etc it’s just perfect, but not here.
moarveerParticipantI’ve used the memory scanner and the scale is great, but headtracking is terrible, really far from 1:1. It’s not a matter of performance, happens even in the lowest resolutions.
moarveerParticipantI’ve tried this with Pimax, and the game looks great, but what’s killing me is the headtracking, it’s just not right, you look around and it feels like it’s too sensible, the camera simply moves too much when look around and oesn’t feel natural at all, i’ve tried adjusting the mouse sensitibity slider in the options menu but doesn’t really fix it, really awful because it looks incredible, but as it is, it’s brain melting right now.
moarveerParticipantThanks for all these profiles, keep them coming!
moarveerParticipantAmazing news Ralf, I just posted about this on the Pimax forums: https://forum.pimaxvr.com/t/vorpx-adds-support-for-pimax-with-the-new-19-1-1-version/17509 , i think that after being so outspoken against Pimax and Vorpx previously, I owed you a positive post now that it’s working great for me.
